I had Manuel for almost a year and suddenly, the wife stopped returning my text messages after she tried to overcharge me for picking up leaves Manuel had failed to pick up. This was my first Fall in Georgia. I assume the gardener will clean up the leaves and dispose them. Instead, Manuel created a wall of leaves between my property and my neighbors's. I called their number to ask for the leaves to be either bagged or be taken away yet the wife was snarky and told me it's impossible for Manuel to take the leaves of all the houses he maintains. I offer to buy bags and they came to pick up the leaves yet the wife tried to charge me an extra $120 for that after the weekly fee I paid them. After I asked for clarification, she stopped responding and it has now been 3 weeks. I had been paying them what they ask for weekly maintenance so I expect for the maintenance to take place. Another issue I had was they charge for everything as an extra, even if one asks small plants to be cut or removed. Make sure you ask upfront what their fee includes. I felt Manuel Just was focused on cutting the lawn and nothing else unless I constantly had to ask the wife about what needed to be done. Quite honestly, it's too much work to be dealing with his wife. She seems to be temperamental and also very rude for not returning my texts.

The landscapers knocked out the entire backyard in a day and a half and did a wonderful job. The project manager/landscape designer worked with our schedule when the weather wasn't cooperating. My wife and I lost almost all of our grass on our front and on parts of our side yards because…read moreseveral of the now 20 year old trees planted there were blocking the needed sun light for the grass to grow. We literally had a reddish brown, eroded, Georgia clay colored yard. After removal of the several trees which had caused our problem, we interviewed several landscaping companies to provide the necessary design, grading and installation of sod on the entirety of our front and parts of our side yards. After meeting with Stewart of Hearn Landscape, it became obvious that we wanted to hire Hearn. Stewart was extremely professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He explained every detail of the job including the grading of the areas, the grinding of all tree stumps and roots, the design and use of mulch around existing trees and other areas, and he told us the name and qualifications of the Hearn crew leader who would be overseeing and directing the crew performing the job. Prior to the commencement of the job, I spoke with Matthew, the crew leader, by telephone, and was extremely impressed by him in all respects. When the job began (on time), I met Matthew and Trevor (Matthew's second in command on the job), and was immediately reassured that the job would be performed to perfection. Both my wife and I were not disappointed. Matthew, Trevor and the entire crew were FANTASTIC. The grading, root removal, stump grinding, extensive preparation of the soil for planting of sod and placement of mulch were exemplary! Thereafter, the sod was installed with perfection, the mulch was placed, our irrigation system was checked for proper watering, and the entire area, including concrete drive, was left spotless! The bottom line is that my wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, Hearn Landscape exceeded our expectations in every way. Accordingly, we highly recommend Hearn Landscape!

Our back yard does not get enough sun to support Bermuda grass, and the lawn was suffering as a…read moreresult. There were areas that were starting to erode. We checked with a few different landscaping companies. Hearn seemed to offer the best overall package of design/layout and work, and their pricing was reasonable. We started working with them (getting estimates and a plan) around mid-August and got onto their schedule for early October. We had to arrange for a separate company to update and re-arrange some of the lawn's sprinkler system before Hearn could do their work. Once that was complete (in September), Hearn came out shortly afterwards. They performed all the work in about 3.5 days. This included scraping our back yard and about 1/3 of our front yard, delivering mulch and river rock for some areas, extending drain pipes in 3 spots, laying Zoisa sod in the scraped and graded areas, and then adding some decorative planting in one area. I delayed doing a review until we had a chance to see the sod grown in and actually become a lawn, as opposed to pieces of sod. That has occurred as we move into the middle of summer, so I am more confident in rating Hearn's work. Overall, we are quite satisfied and would work with them again. They provided a plan and then worked to that plan. There were no surprises later.
