We had a great experience working with Dan and his crew on a sod project (12 pallets) in our yard. They provided a quote within a couple days. The price stayed as quoted. We did need to wait a few weeks to get on his calendar as they are very busy. Once scheduled, they showed up on time and completed everything in just a single day. Price was the best in town and they came highly recommended so I felt good about it. Based on the great price, I had honestly lowered my expectations a little but their execution was far from a budget job. They had 5 guys, a large and small Bobcat, grading equipment and even professional survey equipment to make sure the site would drain correctly. Along the way I had a few requests that added to the scope and Dan was very accommodating and the additional costs were very fair. They even relocated a few sprinkler heads without charging extra that I fully expected to need to pay another company to do later. They are really full service. Dan and his crew prepped and graded my front and side yards and installed 16 pallets of emerald zoysia. This required removing a river birch tree and a maple front tree in the front yard as well as trimming trees on the side and removing all debris. They also repaired any sprinklers that were not operating correctly. I am so pleased with how my yard looks now and I have received numerous compliments from my friends and neighbors. The Hearn crew also graded the area in the back yard and installed a river rock creek bed to prevent mud from getting on the concrete patio. This included burying pvc pipe from 3 different downspouts. So far there has been 2 periods of rain and no mud on the patio. I needed a 50 foot retaining wall to stop the mini river that was created and running through my lawn every time we had a heavy rainstorm. Sam Hearn provided a very reasonable quote and estimated a three day job to complete the wall. The end result was an outstanding wall, completed on time, that exceeded my expectations. As an added benefit his people graded the woods adjacent to the wall. Since then we've had a couple of heavy rainstorms and the wall delivered as promised. As much as I liked the work that Sam did, I received comments from several neighbors who also liked the project (one neighbor christen it the "Jericho Wall"). Amazing work - I'm so happy! I recently had Hearn Landscape add a huge dry creek bed to help with a bad drainage issue in my back yard. Sam came out to meet with me and see the issue to know what to suggest. He was very prompt in corresponding and answering all of my questions. We've been using Hearn Landscaping since moving to Brooks about 2 years ago for our landscaping as well as brush removal and other jobs. Sam has always been outstanding and his crew does an excellent job--polite, accommodating to requests, and offering suggestions for a better looking lawn. For example, a crew member suggested they mow in a different direction, although meaning far more work for them, to make it look even better. The owner (Sam) came out to our property to give estimate on what we needed and instead of just accepting the job he gave us a couple of suggestions to save money. The expert crew used bobcats to smooth it out, then covered it with sod and gave it a good soaking, all in one long day of hard work.
