Their rep who stopped by listened to what we wanted and made helpful recommendations. We decided to go with them. Scheduling took a couple of weeks, mostly due to weather. Obviously rain and very cold temperatures will affect when they can do the work. However they were great about keeping in contact and trying to pick the earliest practical date. They arrived in the window specified and did all the work as planned in about 6 hours (that varies per job, obviously). This included removing 3 older Bradford pear trees, cutting down a couple of tall pines that were closer to our house than desired, and trimming back a cherry tree and a crape myrtle. They also cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Pricing seemed fair. I would definitely call them again if we needed more tree work done.

When they failed to produce the permit I informed them they and/or my neighbor would be subject to a fine and weren't allowed to remove the tree. They chose to begin cutting the tree anyway at my neighbors behest, while I was still standing underneath the tree, so you can add reckless endangerment to the list of things they elected to do incorrectly. Awhile later I got to watch as they were escorted away by police after significant damage to the tree. In short, these folks are absolute clowns, don't know the legality of removing a tree near/on a property line, nor do they understand the permitting required for the area they service. Hire at your own risk.

Beyond that, they cleaned up after themselves and had our property looking immaculate afterwards. The crew cleaned up after the work was completed so that there was no dust or wood chips on our roof (and our neighbor's roof since they had to access the neighbor's property to fully take down the tree). Anyone visiting us the next day would've never known that we just had a giant tree cut down. There was some oil spillage on our paved alley/driveway from a chainsaw that broke while cutting down the tree, and Northside provided us with a free power wash to take care of the problem.
