They always do an amazing job with listening to what I like. They helped me try on several gowns and the way they help me adjust dresses to fit and see how it would look when the achieved alterations would be done. So I should preface this with I took a trip to Waco to wedding dress shop with my future MIL and friends from San Antonio. Needless to say it was a long day. I picked Georgio's because I was looking for a Stella York dress and they were having a 'trunk show' that day. Tawnya is AMAZING. The no-photo policy is not. But I'll get to that in a bit. She listened way better than the other two bridal places I went to that day and helped me hone into the dress of my dreams. But I'm super analytical and this was my first time trying on dresses so I really needed time to process. The place is super clean, very high end, comfortable and spacious. I'm a bigger bride (size 14-16) and they had SO many selections in my size - more than any of the other places I went to, so I'm not sure what one of the reviewers on google was talking about. No matter your size, they will have plenty for you to try. But I had two other appointments and like I said, needed time to process, so I got a quote that had a little sale with it (which was really nice!) and went to the rest of my appointments. At the end of the day I couldn't remember what the dress looked like (and didn't have a picture...) so I called to see what I could do. They did offer to have me come and try it back on if I could get there quickly because it was the end of the day. We started driving back but I knew that if I went in and inconvenienced them I would feel pressured to buy the dress even if I didn't want it (that's just my personality, they are too sweet and would not have pressured me). So I figured I would chalk it up to a lost opportunity to save money from the deal they were offering and went home to San Antonio. Here's why they're no-photo policy sucks. I'm a hundred percent sure that if I had had a photo of myself I'm that dress I would have come back and bought it. Because I found it online with the help of my maid of honor that has a freakishly photographic memory (and it was a Stella York!) And every time I look at it I get really excited. Fortunately I called a local place and they have it for the same sale price so I will more than likely be buying it locally. I wish it would have worked out because they really did help me find my dream dress but that no-photo policy prevented me from getting it from them. But overall, great business! If I could give this place 20!!! Stars I would. I had a true bridal emergency. A lady who was supposed to do my alterations cancelled on me last minute not even TWO WEEKS before my bridal shoot because the dress was basically her reasoning was "that I wanted a miracle or the impossible done" well! All I had to do was give Tanya and the shop a call they got me right away! Their Seamstress was literally sweeping and about to go home for the day and she still stayed an hour if not more after just to help me with my fitting and they will have it done before my bridals. I was just amazed on how poor the customer service was. The staff even saw that I was clueless; yet didn't offer any help. I walked around ten minutes before I was even greeted. Actually, I had to greet them before they decided to talk to me. That which acted very poorly on their service for a bride to be/ potential customer. I did not like the environment there. read more

I was in quick need of a Mother Of the Bride dress and also being tall and considered a plus size, this store helped me completely! Belva, the owner, helped me personally find the dress I dreamed I would be wearing to my daughters wedding and she was SO helpful in making me feel confident with my decision. This was the best experience ever! I had gone wedding dress shopping previously at a Fort Worth boutique, and it was overall a horrible experience. I came to Georgio's nervous I would have the same experience, and boy was I so wrong!! Tawnya was sincerely looking for the style of dress I wanted and was able to know exactly what fit would look best on me. She was truthful with me throughout the whole process and didn't make me feel rushed. She treated me just how every bride would want to be treated while looking for their perfect dress! My appointment was at 3 and and I took until 6 to find my dress. Once I found it, Tawnya made sure that the fit would be just right and the length since I am a petite bride. I can not recommend this boutique enough if you are a nervous bride looking for the perfect dress! They have so many different types of dresses and the boutique is beautiful. Wish my first experience trying on dresses had been better. Couldn't take pictures in the dress and they couldn't provide an explanation as to why other than "it's the owners policy." I hate that I don't have any pictures of my first time wearing a wedding dress! Felt kind of pressured to go in a certain direction with particular dresses too. The first day of my wedding search didn't even include Georgios originally. We walked in without an appointment on a Saturday just to see if there was anything we liked for scheduling a later appointment. There was a whole rack of dresses in my size! The owner saw us wandering aimlessly and immediately came to offer help. She was very quick to apologize that they were so busy and couldn't help us immediately but would set us up if we had 5 minutes to wait. To our delight we were assigned Jasmine who was professional and offered great suggestions- even honest things like when a dress wasn't flattering! We managed to find 2 dresses that are amazing that I'll have a hard time choosing. Even throughout the trying on the owner returned to check progress and would fetch new gowns to try. We had 2 other bridal appointments that day and neither held a candle to the professionalism or fun we had at Georgios. We will definitely be returning to buy the dress there! Oh this place was awful to get alterations at. The first time I went in to get my wedding dress altered, the seamstress grabbed my breast without asking me. I understand that part of getting a dress fitted includes some touches like that to get the dress to fit properly. However, this woman didn't even tell me what she was about to do to me. I was mortified because she just grabbed my breast and yanked it around. Secondly, I go to put my dress on the day of my wedding and there was a button missing at the top in the back. Because if this, my dress would not zip up and stay. So in a panicked frenzy my bridesmaid had to sew my WEDDING DRESS back together. Lastly, everyone who worked here seemed very rude and arrogant. read more

Not happy with the way we were treated- they were obsessed with making sure we didn't photograph any of the dresses- I don't know why- I had my phone in the pocket of my purse and was asked to turn the lens of it away from her!!! Idk how I am supposed to take a picture when my phone is in my purse- They also made the bride feel uncomfortable and made a big scene to get another associate in the dressing room to help zip the dress!!! Yelled for help!! For an establishment that try's to be upscale, they do not have the manners nor the respect to hold theirselves to that standard. I would not recommend this dress shop!! Amazing place for bridal, prom or any special/formal occasion. The staff are incredibly sweet and will go above and beyond to help you find the perfect dress. They have an amazing selection in store, and can handle all aspects of your wedding attire, including renting tuxes. We rented tuxes, got our bridesmaids dresses and my couture gown for our summer 2012 wedding here and we couldn't have been more pleased with the services we received. They also own a bridal consignment store a little further down lake air, Tie the Knot (formerly I Do on a Dime) that sells new and consignment gowns, decor, jewelry and prom and they have great products and services as well. This is the ONLY place in Waco to go for a wedding gown! read more

Weirdest bridal experience ever. Just straight up odd. They have a no photography policy, which is strange because brides want pictures to compare and see how they look in the gown in photography, but okay. A few years back I was here with another bride, and that was not the case, so I was really caught off guard. This all would have been fine, until one of the other consultants tattled on my 13 year old sister to the owner because she was snap chatting pictures of herself in the mirror (being a typical 13 year old). Then the owner proceeded to come over and snap at her. It completely embarrassed her and was so uncalled for. They kept asking us to put our phones away, even when we were just waiting for the bride to come out of the dressing rooms - literally just on Instagram. They are obsessed to a point of rude. I'm not sure if they were just on edge because the owner was there, but it was actually not fun because we were all on edge that someone would snap at a child instead of asking her mother to ask her to put her phone away. Waco brides, this is a great spot to go find out what style you like. Then walk out the front door and head to Austin or Dallas for a real bridal experience with mimosas and fun consultants. I will say our consultant was sweet! It was everyone else who was a pain. We found a beautiful gown here, but we left and found an even more beautiful gown for less money and actually had fun ELSEWHERE. read more

Ordered a $140.00 bridesmaid dress for a wedding and paid an additional $20.00 for shipping and this shop took their sweet time to mail off my dress. It took them 10 days after full payment to mail the dress out and I had to wait an additional 4 days to receive the dress (almost two weeks). Huge inconvenience because I live out of state and still needed to get alterations done before the wedding. This establishment blamed UPS for the late delivery but according to the tracking number THEY provided, my dress wasn't even mailed the day they told me. Liars! read more

The store was busy, for a Tuesday evening, but even without an appointment I was given excellent service. Stacy made shopping for my wedding gown the experience I had envisioned! I felt special, the store and dressing rooms were ideal, and there were plenty of dresses to try on. I didn't fell pressured or like I was being a burden for trying on numerous gowns. I went there and was completely ignored upon arrival. Waited a while while the desk clerk finished her cell call and then walked off. When she never came back I walked to the back and explained I had called two times prior to coming today ( from out of town) to get a dress cleaned. The lady gave me a look of disgust and said we don't do that. I explained I called ahead and ended up speaking to the nicest lady about cleaning my dress but she also let me know they have a few sale dresses if I wanted to look. So I went over looked through dresses by myself, asked to try one on and ultimately needed help buttoning the back. The young lady tried to help but wasn't familiar with this process. She began to ask a lady in another room if she could "come help a lady button a dress" she starts announcing out of the room she guesses but she hungry etc etc. by the time she came she acted as if it was a bother. She made an in appropriate comment about my size of chest. I bit my tongue and went to get money and think about it. I loved the dress but the place made me feel awkward. When I returned I asked to put the dress on again and stayed in the dressing room this time. A different lady and one of the former ladies were there. This time they made fun of the dress I brought to be cleaned laughing and saying "she said she just wanted it for pictures" and made comments how the item was crammed in a bag by another lady at the shop. I ended up going out to talk to my husband because I loved the dress but couldn't stand the treatment. I ended up calling and got Kari. I knew she was one of the ones who was rude but since she would not allow me to speak to anyone else and said she was the "owner" then later said she was the owner because her mother owns it. I told her that I felt the people including her was really rude. I told her that I heard the conversations while I was in the dressing room. She called me a liar immediately. Then - Over and over. At one point she tried to chastise me about how"mature" she is!! How SHE IS almost 30 and "she don't play that" and told me "wait girlfriend" wow!!! Well I explained to her I have been to shops a heck of a lot nicer than "hers"and never treated that way- ever. Aaaannnddddd... if you are SUPPOSEDLY the owner - wouldn't you want to know what ppl thought??? Soooo if you wanted to be treated like dirt- chastised by a childish person who is not professional at all go right ahead. I cannot see how this place stays in business. The absolute snottiest ppl and place ever and it really worries me that impressionable young teens would go here and be subjected to this humiliation and embarrassment given by such "mature" women. read more

Despite growing up in Waco, I had never been to Georgio's Bridal before. While back home on vacation, I decided to stop by Georgio's to take a peak at dresses just to see what kind of styles I might like, but I figured that I would buy my dress at a store/boutique in a bigger city "with a bigger selection" (this turned out to be wrong). When I got to Georgio's, I was blown away with how many options they had - options of all price ranges and styles. Tawnya, the consultant, is amazing. She actively listened to my price point and style, and within 5 minutes, she had pulled me several dresses that met my descriptions. With one of them, I just knew I had found THE dress, and I didn't need to try anymore on. However, after telling her that I had another appointment at another store, she still encouraged me to go, just knowing that I would soon come back to purchase the one from Georgio's, and I did. After purchasing the dress and veil, I was also blown away with Frances in the alterations department. Since I lived in Connecticut, I knew I was going to be limited in the amount of dress fittings I could have. She eased all worries that I had about the dress fitting perfectly, and on my big day, the fit was flawless. I would recommend this salon to everyone, whether or not you live in Waco! You still get the feel of a small town in the way the staff treats you, but you will be very impressed by the number and quality of dresses they carry (and they have dresses for other members of the bridal party as well!). read more

Went to this shop for alterations on scrubs, they advertise that they do alterations in other items that are not wedding dresses. I explained what I wanted done, the lady said no problem and I seemed very happy with my decision. About 2 weeks later I pick them up, mistakenly didn't look at them, went home tried them on and was not happy, for someone who works on wedding dresses she didn't know what she was doing, my scrub pants that I had hemmed she hemmed them too much and they were too short. I discussed fixing them with her and she said it would be at least another week and I said no thanks, wasn't going to waste my time on someone who didn't know what they were doing. read more

Wedding dress shopping for a plus size gal is never fun but Georgio's made it feel like a dream! Being a size 14, I was worried about looking frumpy but Ashley knew exactly what designers would be the most flattering for my figure. The Alterations department is exceptional! We were so impressed with my bridal gown alterations that my Mom took her MOB dress to be altered there as well. We couldn't have been more pleased with the way they both turned out. I had my wedding dress altered here and the back buttons BROKE halfway through my wedding reception. I'm a pretty average dress size 2/4 and my wedding dress fit pretty well at the first fitting except for the length and it needed taken in a bit on the sides. Five ... yes FIVE fittings later I finally was able to take it home. At my fourth appointment when I was supposed to take it home somehow my dress suddenly didn't button right at the top. So one week before my wedding I had to meet the seamstress to pick it up only to find the final alterations hadn't even been done yet so I had to wait for it to be done in the store. All so this same top button could BREAK right at the beginning of my reception even though I was promised there's no way it would. 5 fittings and nearly $700 dollars later... all for a dress that basically fit me at my first fitting!! This place is way under staffed for the amount of alterations they do. Take your dress somewhere else!!!! read more

I am living in Texas for the summer but I am originally from NYC. My sister is getting married at the end of the year & I NEEDED to find a bridesmaid's dress since I am the MOH. This place was AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! My mother came with me (she is visiting) and we were just amazed by how organized this store it. It's beautiful and the selection is incredible. The people are wonderful and the prices are great. This was my 5th attempt at finding a dress and I guess 5th time is a charm! You would think coming from NYC and doing all my other attempts there at those big gigantic department stores, I would not be so impressed or happy with a small place in Waco but I have to say, I was beyond impressed. The service was wonderful. I told our saleswoman an IDEA of what I wanted and within minutes she pulled 20 dresses that she thought I might like or just would help me get a better idea. I have never had such a smooth process when trying to find a dress. I highly recommend this place for any bride or bridesmaid! Honest. When I get married, I plan on making the trip back down to Waco just to get my dress from this store because I know its not only quality but its well worth it! read more

She didn't even talk to me about it and went on to lecture the bride about their no picture policy. Upon our arrival my best friend was so excited to get started trying on dresses. However we were disappointed before the appointment even began. My friend was reluctant to coming here after reading reviews, and after leaving she wished she had listened. We were very disappointed with our consultant Stephanie in particular. She made my friend feel very uncomfortable and definitely put a damper on our day. A bridesmaid was on her phone and was barked at as if she was a child about the no photography policy. At this point my friend was ready to go. Definitely not the way to run a business. Trying on your wedding dress should be a fun experience. First off when my maid of honors and I went in there to take a look at that bridesmaid dresses, they stopped us at the door and immediately asked us if we had an appointment. I explained we had one the next weekend and wanted to get an idea of what we wanted. They acted like they were going to TURN US AWAY until they recognized my friend who modeled for them a little bit. But they made it very clear how we could not try on any bridal dresses at all (even though that isn't even what we had come in for). The bridesmaid dresses they had were the ones you see everywhere else and they didn't even help us to find the style I was looking for. All they wanted to do was tell me the price of everything which was no less than $200. As we were walking out we took a look at some bridal gowns just to price them and boy were they pricey! All of the nice ones we saw were $5,000, which is ridiculous! I got the SAME bridal dress at JoAnn's in West for $1,200 and the bridesmaid dresses were just as nice, if not nicer, and $100 less plus their girls were more than happy to help me find dresses that fit my style!!! read more
