I eat at Alibi at least once a month, service is always excellent and food is great. Lots of food and a huge menu so that everyone can find something they want! Plus the drink specials, all day long. read more

Finally writing a review because this is the 3rd time this exact thing has happened to me. I was waiting in line at around 1am for a while to use the restroom stall and was next in line, the restroom attendant pulled a woman ahead of me and everyone else who had already been waiting, claiming that's how it's always been and was quite rode and dismissive. This is a gay bar. Yes, everyone is welcome, but why is he giving anyone preferred treatment based on their sex and making other guests wait even longer? We all wait in line, sometimes for a long time, only to have this happen!? And then he expects to get tipped? That's ridiculous and I would not expect this to happen in one of OUR safe spaces. If he prefers women, maybe he should go work at Liv or something. Very disappointed. This restroom attendant should be replaced. read more

Absolutely disgraceful, this place claims to be inclusive but it's not, I go out maybe every 6 months n every time I go there they escort me out, for no reason, they are quick to cut u off and shut down. This is more of anti gay establishment. I've never been escorted out anywhere but this place. They can keep there shitty food, shitty bar, and nasty weight staff for someone else, I'll spend my else where. New management ruined this place , it was a lot better 10 years ago. read more

It's always a vibe at Alibi! Located in the heart of Wilton Manors, @alibimonkeybar is a staple in Ft Lauderdale for decades! Whether you're a local or visiting South Florida, this bar / club / restaurant has something for everyone. I highly recommend their award winning burgers and perfectly crispy wings but if you're craving something different, try the new Asian inspired items like the Crab Rangoon or the Bang Bang Chicken. I've been coming to Alibi since I moved SoFlo over 15 years ago and this place always has good food and service, plus it's a safe heaven for LGBTQ. And everyone is welcome, so whatever you prefer, American, Mexican or Asian, it's on the menu! We arrived early for lunch, seated ourselves on the patio and spoke with our server within a minute or two. Great menu, lots to choose from, and a variety of genres. The music was a little loud for me, but that is not a deal breaker...at least it was good music. Each dish we had was very nice and well prepared. The Ahi Tuna Nachos will bring us back to try more, for sure. Great place, awesome location, wonderful staff... read more

The show was amazing. The queens didn't come outside where we were seated so I stepped indoors to watch. They impressed me and are gorgeous. The food was average. My flatbread was chicken and buffalo and the chicken was not good. I thought it came from a can but my friend thought it was overcooked. So I picked off all of the chicken pieces and ate the rest of the pizza. My drink was okay. Really sweet and creamy but not too strong. I'd probably get something else next time. The specials are amazing and there were a lot of opportunities to see a drag show. Wanna come back for the vibes. read more

So Monkey Bar is an outdoor restaurant that has a bar area as well. They have daily specials and reasonable prices. Most of the food is American comfort. One good thing is that they stay open late, usually around 12:00, possibly pushing 12:30am. For those of you that don't know, this is part of a larger gay club where everyone is welcome. Service was above average and while theere is plenty of parking, it does fill up quickly. Some things are going to be better than others here and they are known for their hamburgers. They offer quite a few vegetarian options. It's very relaxed and casual. Noise level outside is not bad but inside because it's a club, it will be very loud. Bathrooms are located inside only. read more

I always try to avoid this place because it's extremely loud but since The Pub was closing we ended up here. Went to the main bar inside and order 2 tall drinks (vodka/soda) and the bartender tried to charge us $40!!!! That's just crazy money that doesn't even require an explanation. This just simply reinforces the reason why I avoid this place at all cost. read more

I visited here twice because friends wanted to meet there. the first time was dinner and had to hunt down someone to take our order for 6 of us. The girl took our order, waited 45 minutes for our food (they were not busy). Food arrived and we never saw our server and had to hunt her down to get our check. twice we went to bar to get new drinks. POOR SERVICE ! This week I met a friend there for lunch on patio, waited6-7 minutes just to get seated, then waited 10 minutes and no server so we left and ate somewhere else. Not sure who is running this place buts it's really gone down hill. The dinner we had was just mediocre and all 6 of us said we would never return. Poor Management! read more

Food is great for bar kitchen! We had the tacos, nachos, edamame, salad and fried chicken sandwich. Yummy! Service is always TOP notch with Chuck working the patio! We absolutely LOVE Chuck! The place is fun but the security guard checking IDs told me to tell my friend who went in before me not to snatch his ID. I was right behind him and saw it. That didn't happen. All the food was pretty good! Only giving 4 stars because the service was mediocre. But definitely recommend, it's a nice vibe here. Last weekend while visiting the neighborhood my friend and i did our usual bar hopping and ended up going to Alibi. While we had a wonderful experience at the previous bars at Alibi we experienced the opposite, i was pushed and kicked out of the dance floor by a staff member just because he didn't like us. When I confronted him about his action, no excuse was provided instead he raised his radio up and asked for us to get escorted out of the club. It's such a heavy feeling when the hurt doesn't come from the outside, but from someone within your own community. The place where you expect understanding, support, and unity suddenly becomes the source of pain. Being pushed aside by those who should stand with you is one of the saddest betrayals. read more

A super fun gay bar that serves excellent food during the day and has a great vibe an awesome music at night

Service was good. The bar and music can be fun, however the restaurant part is a hard NO for me. Maybe I should have tried a salad? The chicken sandwich I ordered was light on the chicken.- It was like a thin strip of turkey and heavy on the mayo and cheese. The bread was like not even real bread. Reminded me of high school cafeteria wonder bread bun. The sandwich was overpriced greasy, high carb garbage. I'm promising myself to never eat here again. read more

I don't go out but decided to go out with a friend. We were served by a gentlemen by the name of Taurus, who provided excellent service. Quick, prompt and patient as I do not know what are in cocktails but he went above and beyond to explain and make sure myself and my group were satisfied. Places like this is all about services and not always about atmosphere. Highly recommend and I am not "gay" but enjoyed not having to wait hours for drinks or fighting for the bartender. 5 stars read more

Oh no. I didn't expect this. The vibe was Wilton Manors usual and fine. The Tuesday Taco (3) platter was a little North of room temperature. After reading so many reviews mentioning this I assumed it would be fixed.... Beef slightly cooler than the room and corn taco shells the same. Clumpy, melded together rice and beans on the side.....the second entree was lime cilantro wings or something like that. Drowned in salt...too much. No fresh whip option like celery or carrots. The appetizer was tuna tartar....globbed in with GUACAMOLE. Just a culinary misstep. Atmospere 8....food barely a 2~ read more

I have been coming to Alibi since 2004. We dine in the establishment at least once a week, since we are Wilton Manors residents, definitely proactive at spending our monies here in the community. NOW... I am posting this because, the last 3 times we have been dining at Alibi the SERVICE has been UNACCEPTABLE and HORRIBLE. First, the food runner drops off the meal and RUNS away... Management. The proper way to "Service" is ask. " Is there anything else you need?"... Dont just run away... Because then the server that took the order NEVER comes back to make sure everything is ok... And this same experience has happened the last 3 times we have dined at Alibi.... We thought the first, even the second times may had been just an off night ... But three times in a row.. and you get this review of FAIR WARNING TO OTHERS .. ( if we even return to eat at Alibi, the ONLY server we will have is CHARLIE. HE IS STELLAR , the ONLY reason we will ever return. And MANAGEMENT.. I suggest you have a SERIOUS meeting with all your other staff to step it up in service... Because they are COSTING YOUR BUSINESS LOYALTY. And the DRAG show starts a half hour after it was scheduled at 8:30 and didn't start til after 9 pm . Get YOUR act together, be on time. Because once again you are a reflection of the establishment. ALIBI you are certainly not the establishment that we will be bringing our guests, our family, or friends or even ourselves. And we will no longer recommend Alibi to our Airbnb guests. We are taking our business to the other establishments that are ON POINT and are PROUD of service and being on time. You receive a ZERO on SERVICE. read more

First time back in ages and disappointing. Went Saturday night for the drag show and dancing afterwards. We have no issues with the quality of drag performers. However everything else sucked? Latino looking/younger bartenders lazy with poor attitudes. Drinks expensive even with 2 for 1. No call options for gin? Place smells like old beer/dirty mop/weed. People allowed to vape everywhere. Absolutely no production value for drag show; poor lighting, stupid/slow DJ, no video feed, nothing... People allowed to stand anywhere ordering nothing and not tipping entertainers while blocking the bar service areas. Needs more chairs for drag show. Dance music was antiquated or all Latino themed, not fun at all. read more

The food is delicious and this restaurant used to be one of my favorites I would frequent. I am upset at the end of my meal I was not provided with an itemized receipt, but just shown how much I needed to pay. I found out afterwards, after I did ask for my receipt and bill, I was charged $4.95 (pricey) for an iced tea, and a 3% surcharge, and some other surcharge as well. I got wings and found out I had to pay $1.00 per small cup of extra sauce; sauce and blue cheese dressing, total: $2.00. I figure, possibly, if a restaurant tells you how much you owe with no itemized bill, it makes me think "what charges are they hiding". I feel the merchant should pay the 3% surcharge (from what I understand their bank bills them) I really felt angry and ripped off. I will not, and other friends of mine I have told, will not go back to Alabi until they change these features. read more
