My husband found The Great Outdoors Sub Shop, and it absolutely hit the spot. I ordered the turkey and cheese with the works (minus tomatoes), and my husband went with the same sandwich but built his own without the preset toppings. The bread is baked fresh in-house, and all of the fixings tasted fresh and high quality. I grabbed a bag of chips and a drink, and it made for a solid, satisfying meal. If I'm being picky, I wouldn't have minded a little more meat--but overall, the flavor was on point. The place was clean, with steady foot traffic from nearby businesses, which is always a good sign. The servers were ready to take on all the orders that came in. Bonus points: they also offer desserts and ice cream! Definitely a great option if you're craving a classic deli experience

One sandwich was the club and the other sandwich was the turkey pastrami. By my mistake, I thought that my was going to be turkey and pastrami. The sandwiches were subpar and the soup that I ordered for almost 6 dollars was just a cup not even a bowl with a few crackers. I requested additional condiments, which we never received.

If anything, that actually added to the experience for her. She liked the vibe and inside decor, not because she partakes in cannabis use, but she's not familiar with the 420 culture in the first place so it all kind of stood out. I agree with that as well. The design plays into the theme well! This of course extends to the menu as well. All sandwiches are named after different strains of weed. I got the Kali Mist - a spicy turkey club - on white and my mom got the KGB - a roast beef and horseradish sandich - on garlic herb. As opposed to small, medium, large, the sizes are nug, pinner, and blunt. We both got nug sizes since we weren't too hungry at the time but still wanted to try. Long story short, the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. They're all toasted so the bread provides a great, warm base. The avocado on the Kali Mist stood out for me, providing a nice rich flavor and texture amongst everything else. I tried a bit of the KGB as well and the horseradish gives a nice contrast to the flavorful roast beef. Overall, I would definitely come back again to try out more of the sandwiches.

This particular spot is a deli sandwich place; they do have some standout choices, but I was craving tuna, so I ordered their Pacific Blue (Tuna Melt). Loved that they toasted the buns; it was good but didn't wow me. They skimped on the cheese and didn't add the jalapeños I requested. Service was incredibly slow, but there was a huge rush-hour crowd, so I'll overlook it. All in all, the theme is cool. Loved that they had vendors and music available the day we went; it gave us an opportunity to have something to do while we waited. I did spot board games, but naturally didn't think we'd need them. The goo ball was overly buttery and definitely had peanut butter. It was good for the first couple of bites but I quickly tossed it afterward once it became too much. If a deli is your thing, give it a try. I'm sure on any other given day they'd be better at delivering a sandwich with everything.

Fantastic choice! The menu is very "urban hipster" vibes. Plenty of burgers, lots of fun appetizers, charcuterie, one of my friends has some dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her needs which made us all very happy. This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! If you're in the area already or if you're thinking of branching out for a nice new burger spot, this place is great and I will be returning. I live nearby so it'll likely become part of the regular rotation for us in the coming months. We are spoiled for choice in this area when it comes to good burgers being close to Grumps, close to Kincaid's, and close to Tommy's up on Camp Bowie. But this place competes on good burgers and if you're looking for a fun hangout atmosphere, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Easily recommended! Give them a try, I don't think you'll regret it! Cheers!

The ambiance is relaxed, making it a nice place to unwind. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so plan for that if you're visiting during a busy time. Service was on the slower side, and unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the deluxe chicken sandwich--it was overcooked and didn't live up to expectations. Overall, the wine selection and charcuterie concept are highlights, but the food and service could use some improvement.

The have a Fireman's Uniform on display, the tables are Dalmatian print to symbolize the dog at a Fire Station station, red buckets are by the cashier to help you remember they use buckets to put the fires out too, they also have rectangled windows that you would find on a Bunk Room. I was greeted right away by a Hispanic Female. She had a thick accent but was really nice. She told me to take my time since it was my first time here. The crew was all Hispanic. They had the place kept clean. I ordered a small Turkey Sandwich but, she gave me a Medium Sized Sandwich? I ordered a gluten free bread but was charged a 1.00 more . I didn't see that it would cost more and she didn't explain that either. The bread was flavorless but, full filling. I didn't feel stuffed afterwards. My friends bread fell apart and got messy. Not sure what happened? The Turkey was sliced super thin with a thin serving of Turkey. There was a surplus of Shredded Lettuce, the Mayo was sweet, I prefer sliced Pickles vs a small Dill Spear. My Potato Soup was warm delicious, loaded with Chunks of Potatoes. The Oyster Crackers were some of the best I've had. I got two packs for a small bowl of soup. The have a Coca Cola Free Style Machine. I was able to try a few drinks. Coke Zero was ok. I tried a Vanilla Coke Zero. It was delicious. It tasted just like a Vanilla Coke. I also tried a new Flavor Called Tropical Coke Zero. It tasted sweet with a subtle taste of Cherry and Pineapple. Restrooms are clean. Prices are high. It was like $35.00 for two people? It was pretty busy with steady customers coming in. I would definitely recommend this place. I think the Kiddos would love this place.
