What an amazing company…read more Let me explain my experience before Year Round and what led me to Year Round Pools - I arrived to my house, unannounced after rental season, and found my pool water cloudy, sand on the bottom and a leaky filter cap which the service guy ignored. I immediately called my previous pool company and they told me the water was not cloudy (it was me), a dirty bottom is normal and they tried to fix the cap with silicone and if that didn't work we might need a new filter. It didn't work and it would take 4 days to come back out to check it again. I immediately called Year Round Pools. They said somebody would come out, and would try next day but couldn't guarantee it as it was late in the day. Well, first thing the next morning, John came out and replaced a simple O ring that fixed the problem. He was efficient, helpful and took the time to explain and answer all our questions. That was it for me. I called Year Round back and asked for estimate for services. They came out the very next day, sent a quote and we signed up. That very day, they came out to test the water and lo and behold, it was cloudy because the previous company did not maintain the right chemicals (so I'm not crazy Ray). Mind you, I didn't mention the cloudy water to Year Round because my previous pool guy told me I didn't know what I was talking about. When Year Round got back to us, same day, with the issue, a quick Google search confirmed the issues they identified do indeed create cloudy water. So now it was confirmed. Now Year Round is fixing it. Their communication, customer service and expertise is exactly what I was looking for. I now have the confidence, whether I'm here or not, that I have professionals taking care of the pool proactively, efficiently and to the highest standards. I can't tell you the peace of mind it provides owners who are not always here. From maintenance, to service to customer service, I highly recommend Year Round Pools.

We still need to complete landscaping before we can close our permit. At this point, if you are assessing Hilltop, I think it's safe to consider them. Write down the names and contacts that the people you are dealing with. It gets confusing over time. For example our Project Manager sent us some initial kick off emails and answered a few questions but after that we are dealing with different people to resolve our issues. The Project Manager was not part of our issue resolution. Some of the people we dealt with early on in the process e.g. permitting you will ended up dealing with them again, later part of the process. 8/8 Update: Salt Cell installed. Hilltop sent someone in pretty quick (same day) after we reported the issue. They also sent another trainer few days later per our request to show us the salt cell operations and cleaned out our filter (pretty dirty from the additional pavers work that had to be done). Failed Electrical because fence repair was not done (no one told us that this has to be done before scheduling electrical inspection). Hilltop took responsibility and resent inspector few days after we had fence work done. Passed inspection once the fence was done. 7/29 Update: We were told we are ready for Pool School so we scheduled it. Turn out there was no salt cell installed. This was not communicated to us ahead of time until the Pool Technician is at our house. Frustrating nevertheless. 6/28 Update: Hilltop sent Pavers subcontractor back a couple of times to repair our pavers. Work was completed to our satisfaction. The time loss of course is not recoverable but our priority is quality. ----- Before 6/28 - The design team did a good job working with us meeting our impervious restriction. I am appreciative of that. The installation of our in ground pool started on March 11th. Payments have been made in full but project is still not done as of today, July 8th. Pavers were installed beautifully the first time but we were told that they had to be removed for bonding inspection. Pavers redo has been a nightmare. Unleveled pavers, sharp and broken edges, poor quality overall. We expected better from Hilltop. We reported the issues to the company and were told they will redo pavers and get this right. Came home from vacation, expecting a nice rework. Unfortunately, we were once again disappointed because they were not redone at all - even though we were told it was while we were away. Due diligence and communication have been poor. Today, we once again reported the issues to the owner of the company and project supervisor. I will update review and let you know if the company follow through with a redo and takes care of things like the owner said they would the last time. Here are some pictures after the company said the pavers were redone and "looks" great.

They tore up the yard, which is normal, but then spread all the dirt over 50 feet of my yard whereas the contract is supposed to be 4 ft. My husband saw what he was doing and ran out to stop the workers - of course it was the owners brother. This cost us an additional 8,000 for sod and installation. That was the beginning of the sh*t show- if something could go wrong with the build they sure figured out how to do it (wrong). They broke part of the concrete in our driveway, and since it's in the contract...they are not responsible for any damage to your property. Installed pebble tek while we were out of town, although they said they would call; then when they put the hose in the pool and let not telling anyone. We got a call from our neighbor that our yard was flooding. We have now waited over a month for them to fix our hot tub, heater is putting a code out and they are not responding to any calls or texts. I could go on, but just heed the warnings when you see several bad reviews about this company. It's true and go somewhere else.
