Although Tucker had already earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate, he was still quite shy and skittish--traits that aren't ideal for therapy work. When I explained this to Jacob, our trainer, he immediately began working closely with us to address Tucker's challenges. I was so impressed with the progress that I continued enrolling him in additional classes. Thanks to Jacob's patient and dedicated guidance, I'm thrilled to share that Tucker has now earned both his AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen (CGCU) and AKC Community Canine Advanced Good Citizen (CGCA) certifications! Every staff member I encountered at Fido's was kind, professional, and supportive. I highly recommend Fido's World to anyone looking for quality training. In fact, Tucker is now signed up for their Agility class--we're excited to continue the journey! The.

He was not visible in the cameras for the first few days so I'm guessing they forgot to let him out. I've recently heard so many horror stories about this place but this was my first and last terrible experience. It's clear the owners do not care about the dogs or customers, they don't even bother to answer emails about complaints. Update: after sending a complaint via fb, I did finally receive an email back. Although they were sympathetic I will still never board my puppy here again. Since we love the trainer, we will still take our puppy to training with the trainer at Fido's. I wish Gainesville had more options for dog boarding. In the future, we will be driving a ways for an accommodating and caring boarding facility.

I can say I tried, but the efforts on Tailwaggers did not…read more It's going to be easier to just number the numerous mishaps that have happened to me... 1) purchased bandanas from them, for my dogs, and wrote a check... got a call a week later, from the person at the front desk (I will let this person remain nameless) that I made the check out to the wrong person, and I need to give them another one. Checked my account, the check had been cashed... ok, simple mistake (but they add up). 2) called to book my dogs for a 3 night stay. The (nameless) front desk lady could not get the dates right the first three times I said them. Annoying, but I can brush that off too. As soon as I get off the phone, she calls me right back and says that I had just left my credit card there. Nope, can't physically leave a credit card there over the phone. I called to make the booking, didn't go there. Now I'm starting to think, "what the heck..." 3) go to drop my dogs off on a Saturday. I arrive 10 till acceptance time. Nobody is there. Cars are piling in to drop dogs off and pick them up. 30 min passes, nobody is there. People are calling Tailwaggers to report this issue, but there is only a message machine. There is no alternate number to contact. I ended up having to find alternate care for my dogs bc I was going out of town and already late. This not only was super inconvenient, but it made me sad for the animals in the facility that had not been fed or let out to use the restroom. I understand people can be late for work, but the fact that there are living beings in the building and NO WAY to get in touch with anyone to let them know nobody is there, is beyond me. While waiting, I spoke to a few other ladies who had not been pleased lately. When I called after my trip, to find out what had happened, Shannon was the only person who talked me into giving them another chance (management should praise her for her efforts). 4) the final chance... drop my dogs off for a 4 night stay. Pick them up to find out one of my dogs was only fed half her food (with verbal AND written feeding instruction), and she had blood on her back and ear. I called to speak with the owner and was told she would call me back. The next afternoon, I called back... was told she was in a session and would call me after she was done. Called again the next day... "oh, she's in a session...". Nope, I'm done! The owner CLEARLY does not care about her customers, the care of the pets or her front desk staff that can't get much right. It's three, going on four, days and I still haven't received a call. When I asked the (nameless) front desk to explain why my dog was only fed half her food, and why she had blood on her, she literally said, "I don't have an answer". I have no doubt that this place has been amazing, especially after reading the reviews. BUT, from my discussion with other ladies in the parking lot, and my own experiences, it's going down hill. If you love your pets like children, enter with caution or consider another boarding facility.

The rotating staff, management and vets that came in after Vitali, et al, left were abysmal. Many/most of the old clients left after terrible experiences, some truly heartbreaking. We, too, left & took our dog to a vet across town, with whom we had no problems. The new vet was nice, competent, we liked him well enough, but it was inconvenient. A friendly letter to old clients announcing a new owner/vet encouraged me to @ least give BBAH one more try. I went to see Dr. Hall w/my 11 y.o lab mix and really liked him. I liked him enough to let him do a knee surgery that she needed. He recommended a less expensive, more conservative surgery due to her age, which I appreciated. He did a great job, was nice, friendly and responded well to questions. But hey, it's still an expensive surgery, so I thought maybe it was just good business for him to be nice pre/post-op and follow-up. Recently, however, my old girl developed a rapidly growing lump on her belly. I took her in, expecting the worst. Initially, he recommeded, not surprisingly, surgical removal. We talked a bit and I expressed concern about repeated anesthesia at her age. We talked about the risk/benefit and we mutually decided to take a step back and go for a "wait and see" approach. He made sure that I was comfortable monitering the growth, even though removal might be the "ideal option". If it grows, we'll remove it, if it doesn't, and its not bothering her, then we'll continue to moniter it. I now feel comfortable he's not just being nice to me (& my dog) because he's looking to do a money making surgery. He recommended the "text book" right answer (surgical removal b/c it grew rapidly), but listened to and considered my concerns and together we came up with a plan of care with which we all feel comfortable. Dr. Vitali left some huge shoes to fill, but I think I have found a vet I am really beginning to trust. I can attest to Dr. Hall's surgical skill thanks to my dog's successful knee surgery. More importantly, perhaps, I am beginning to trust him as a good, honest, thoughtful vet that genuinely cares about my dog. That, as most pet owners know, is a trait that is priceless! If you left BBAH for the same reasons most of us did, consider going back :-) I'm a new fan.

We arrived at 12:10. The place was deserted and the employees were on their cell phones. I was told that they couldn't see my pup because they don't take patients after noon on Saturdays. We were only 10 minutes past the cutoff. Staff was on site and not busy, but still couldn't tend to my injured pup. What does that tell you about how they treat animals? If that's what they do in front of a customer, imagine what goes on behind closed doors! Run, don't walk, away from this vet clinic who clearly does not care for the well-being and health of animals.
