Dr Mun's was patient and has a huge amount of experience. He explained everything very well. His solution covered more of my gum than my initial doctor and the price was half of what the original a doctor charged!! It even beat many Mexican periodontists that I got a quote for. The actual appointment was VERY smooth. The worst part was the initial sedation when they inject stuff with a huge needle but he used a two step process to minimize the pain and discomfort. He is very professional al during the procedure and it was very smooth and easy. I would highly recommend this place.

Rather than checking the same X-rays first, he did a new set of X-rays and this incurred an unnecessary charge. The receipt I then received had incomplete information so it was difficult to file a claim. Returned today for a new consult. I arrived 5 mis prior, waited 20 minutes at reception and then another 25 mins in a chair. If I had not said something about waiting for 45 minutes, I could still be waiting. No one alerted me that Dr. Birdy was running late and so I just sat there wasting my time. I get emergencies, but the decent thing is to acknowledge the delays. I do not have confidence in this practice. The people there may be talented but book on the assumption that your time will not be respected.

When I raised questions about potential causes the doctor was just very impatiently said "blame your parents for bad genes" A bit suspicious but I understand these things are better be treated at early stages and can be hard to tell by the patient. So I went to another 2 dentist places for a second and third opinion. Both places confirmed I am good and no need for any surgery The routine cleaning was pretty good, but the random thousands dollars of unnecessary procedures was just not acceptable, and when I was trying to discuss the potential complications, the doctor just said, "it's laser, very safe " Anyway, I'm not a professional dentist, maybe it's a edge case and can have multiple interpretations, but I feel being pushed and almost threatened for doing their surgeries.

He explains the procedures extremely well - before and, most importantly for me, while he's performing them. I don't get overly nervous about going to the dentist, just a bit tense, but knowing what's going on with the procedure really helps. I also really appreciate not being lectured (as I have been with other dentists) about not going in as soon as I felt there was something wrong with my tooth (the extracted one). Surprisingly, I'm not at all worried about going in for an implant (I'll update after I get it). The rest of the staff have also been really friendly. The reception staff are very welcoming. I really have nothing bad to say about the place.

I wish I could give this team more that a five star rating! They were professional, kind, responsive without any hesitation. The thought of having teeth yanked out of my mouth is a thought that strikes fear into my heart. I…read morehave had braces and my orthodontist (back in Hong Kong) said that I have to have my wisdoms removed ASAP or I'd wind up undoing all the work that he's put in over the one and a half year that I've had braces. He actually mustered up the humour to say that my wisdom teeth were a "ticking time bomb." That left me very worried, but since I was told this information a week before school started again, I put this off until the end of the semester. Since I usually get most of my dental work done during my visits to Hong Kong (since most of my patient files are still there), I was at a loss for who I should see for wisdom teeth removal. It didn't help that my parents were also warning me that I may experience permanent nerve damage should the operation went wrong. Quite predictably, the recommendation for Dr. Chow came from the family dentist (in Vancouver), who without hesitation, issued a referral to Dr. Chow, reassuring me that Dr. Chow is one of the best in the field in Vancouver. He wasn't kidding. Dr. Chow is incredibly efficient, from the initial consultation to the subsequent operation, he was always very assuring, and took the time to form concise and informative answers to the concerns that I had. I should also mention that he managed to remove all four of my wisdom teeth in half an hour, which seems really fast. I was unfortunate enough to have a complication of a swollen jaw, which prevented me from closing my mouth for about a week following the surgery- that made talking quite difficult, and they "Why the long face?" cropped up in pretty much every conversation with family, but Dr. Chow's staff of nurses were incredibly helpful throughout the process, having provided reminders before the consultation and operation, and even managed to decipher what I was trying to ask them over the phone following the operation, when my jaw was completely swollen. To explain how hard that is, imagine not being able to make a "sh-, ch-, t-" sound when you're talking. I would say I'd come again, but considering how this is a dental practice, that's probably a bad thing, so the best I can do is recommend Dr. Chow for dental surgery.

I had an agonizing root canal situation--the kind that even hospital morphine couldn't touch. I was in absolute misery. On that particular Saturday, Dr. Winter offered to meet me at his office that very evening or even on the Sunday, just to help me get out of that excruciating pain. What's even more remarkable is that he was even ready to arrange for his staff to come in as well, making sure he and his team could take care of me outside of normal hours. It's incredibly rare to find a dentist willing to go so far above and beyond, especially outside regular hours, and to bring in extra help just to ensure a patient is okay. Dr. Winter not only resolved the issue, but did so with a level of kindness and compassion that is truly extraordinary. If you need a dentist who genuinely cares and will go the extra mile, Dr. Winter is the one.

Lower Right: Dr. Winter did not inform me that the bridge made by the lab was too long and didn't fit. Instead of returning it back to the lab, he proceeded with its installation by adjusting one of the existing teeth and slicing the side of another one without asking for my permission or even informing me. When the job was done, the bridge was sitting lower than the original teeth used to be, creating quite a visible gap with my upper teeth, and leaving me with pain, which I never had on this side before, and which he was not able to address despite many adjustments he made. The only response from him was: "Just avoid eating on this side." Common sense tells us that one doesn't go to a dentist to do a major work in order to acquire permanent pain. I would never recommend him as a dentist.
