Beautiful space with many reading spaces for both #young & #old, who enjoy immersion in the worlds of adventure, found between the covers of #books, #journals, #newspapers &/or periodicals. Only 1.5 blocks off #Austin Ave in downtown #Georgetown, this #library is a hub of activity for all, with lots of parking in a dedicated lot or public parking, just across the street. Children & moms seem to enjoy their dedicated space. The #LittleLemonCafé offers #scrumptious grub with a #smile, too! I highly recommend visiting & picking up a short read while here... and enjoy the beautiful #sculptures as you enter or depart! It's def a great place to enjoy a respite from the hot & humid #Texas weather!

I love suburban libraries because they're large, new, and have extra features. There is a cafe with drinks and desserts, painting and sculptures on display for sale, teen space, plant cuttings sharing station, fast public use laptops, water bottle filling stations, and numerous cute reading nooks.

The women behind the main desk are friendly and very willing to help you out if you have any questions or are looking for anything specific. Very clean and organized space. Still pretty underdeveloped area in the Co-op so there is always plenty of close parking. Happy to see they took covid protocols seriously as well. I'm still getting used to a smaller town and smaller library so I wasn't over the moon about the books they have, but it fits the community needs as a whole well. What I mean by that is there is a large children and YA section and also a fairly large more current fiction section. I read more nonfiction and memoirs and classic lit. A lot of the classic lit authors (like Kurt Vonnegut) are sprinkled in the YA section which is a bit confusing. Hopefully they grow and add more sections and choices in the future. Love using the Libby app with my Central TX digital library card from this library. You can even renew your books online on the library website which is very convenient!

The staff is excellent! They are always so sweet and helpful. They offer a late night during the week if you can't make it before they close and the book drop off is convenient if they are closed. Check out their events page! There is usually something going on for the kids or even adults. Be sure to renew your library card annually by showing your driver license or bill showing you still live in the area.

When we arrived and paid our admission fee, we immediately were met with 2 hosts that kind of went over and explained everything you would be seeing. The funniest part is when an elderly white lady tried to explain to me their new traveling exhibit. It was a hip hop exhibit and she was explaining how interesting it was. She was like 70 and I am sure she is bumping Biggie and 2 Pac on her way to work. The 1st floor was just the presidential Limo, some campaign exhibits, a gift shop and the hip hop exhibit. When I think about LBJ, I am pretty sure Hip Hop is far from the top of the list of things associated with him. However, as a kid from the hip hop generation it was cool to see Run DMC's Adidas, Slick Rick's Kangol and other artists out fits. The 10th floor (I think it was the 10th) had a replica Oval Office, lots of gifts given to LBJ during his presidency and other exhibits as well. I enjoy going to the different Presidential Libraries and Museums and this one is pretty nice but nothing that will wow you.
