Easy electronic ID application! Just need ID with the utility bills with the current address. Options for free membership or additional electronic options. Love the interior, architecturally modern and energy sustainable looks like. Lots of spaces for teens, kids and adults. Love the several outside seating area and has large kiddie playground too on the side. Very friendly staff! Respectful guests inside!

I was a member of the old Cedar Park Library back in my days of living in Buttercup Creek. Since my wife and I love libraries we choose to come see this one and check out the new stuff they offer. Large area, a lot of it still open on the outside, where I assume more buildings or things tied to the library will be built in the future. Parking is kind of all over the place and pretty fair distance from the main building so be prepared to walk some ways. A weird bit is as of now there is no drive thru return, something most libraries have, but there is a walk up one and a series of boxes for holds outside. You can also find holds right inside on a series of hold shelves. The place is very nice, the front desk is round and when we were there had 2 people manning it and a lady helping greet and answer questions near the door. They have a coffee shop and rooms you can reserve for research on when we were there a group was using to watch a movie. Woodworking and more are all options and there is at lease one large play area outside for kids and families. It is a two story building and quite large. SHANA SAYS: It's Cute and has friendly staff as well as being well equipped. I am so glad it is here and that they have different tiers of cards, including a free one with limited access for people outside the Cedar Park city limits. There is a paid one with yearly fee to access everything for non residents and we made get that later. So as Shana stated they had options. we took the free card for now which allows you to check out 10 books a person and no late fees. No access to the stuff like wood working or various other extra's but we can buy a card later. We looked around, checked out a few books and we will be back. It is impressive and we are both all for more libraries. Support them and check it out yourself.

This is a beautiful modern library with a large meeting and performance space and many smaller meeting spaces. It appears to be in a sustainable architectural style with large natural landscape areas and a creative playground. Follow them on Facebook to learn about upcoming events and also the Cedar Park Library Foundation for ways you can support the library!

The kids section of the library is amazing, interactive and very well thought out. They have different kind of play are for different ages. I like that it's in own spot and you don't have to keep telling your child to not talk too loud, of course inside voice. They have baby reading time TTH& Sundays. The outside play area is also amazing.

Nice Job Cedar Park. The library is our local resource as well as a third place. I love that this library has many options for families from coffee to play structures indoors and outdoors. This library's Reno makes coming to the library even more enjoyable to my children and I.

The new library lives up to the hype! It's a beautiful building and while the area around it is still under construction, you can already tell it's going to be the cool place to be when it's done. The kids area is perfection, rivals the Thinkery for its STEM explorations and play areas. My older kid went nuts for the large comfy "circle seats" set into the walls of windows. There are also areas with computers and laptops, and a big private room as well. The big play area is tucked at the back of the kids section; you can spot it but most of the distractions are obscured from the book section, which is great if you want your kids to focus on books first and play afterwards. There's also a decent nursing room with a comfy chair and footstool and frosted window for privacy. There's a door off the back of the kids section that leads outdoors to a water play table (kids might get wet!) and small play area where my kids particularly loved the bird structure that "poops" (has a tiny chute from mouth to...you know). Be aware that older kids may find rocks to send down the chute. Big ones won't fit, but the ones that do might bump a little on if they're close to the exit hole. Honestly, I have no idea where these kids found the rocks because they weren't in sight from the area, so probably an uncommon occurrence. If you walk back through the library's bottom floor you'll pass through the lobby with its stunning modern staircase and head down the hall past the Makerspace rooms, which look amazing. There were so many different craft machines. I think I spotted a Cricut, sewing machines, and 3D printer, and so many more I didn't recognize. Looks like you can reserve these for use. My crafting self was drooling. At the other end of the hall is a small Red Horn coffee cart (local place), then uou can head outside to the other, larger bird play structure. This one might get rough for shy ones 3 and under with all its steep hills, rope courses and climbing opportunities. Big kids and more adventurous young ones will love it. The play structures themselves are all so unique and beautiful. Street parking is plentiful but hard to get during rush times. The lots are a bit of a walk right now, but you can see them already building out a paved walkway from the closer one! Well done, Cedar Park!

Absolutely LOVE the new library that opened this month after anticipating it for over a year. Excellent layout with many reading rooms, quick nooks, a playground and interactive places for young children and a Makerspace studio with sewing machines, 3D printer, etc. I am so impressed by all the offerings of this brand new location and will visit a lot more frequently now!

The library is very easy to find right off of S. Bell Blvd. Parking was difficult on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of different parking lots. The have a playground right in the middle. Not sure if parking was difficult because of the playground or people at the library. I was able to snag a 15 minute spot since I was only going in to make copies. Plenty of handicap parking, but not one was available. Approached the front desk and the gal guided me to the stairs or elevator, stating the printers were right above her workstation. Opted to take the elevator, found the printer. You have to log into a computer that's near the printer area, then you have to put your money in the coin/bill dispenser, then you go over to the printer. My first copy, scanned in black-and-white, even though I had chosen color. I approached, the girl asked her to help, she said I couldn't get my money back. She explained the process and was having a little bit of issues as well with the printer. I had change coming, I pressed the coin release and it said disabled. Went to ask another girl and she says you have to log off of the computer in order to get your change. Walked away a little frustrated. I asked if they had directions for all of these steps, received no answer. I went back to print my receipt and there were just lines on the receipt. She said yup that's a problem we're having.

Great new space! Adult and YA books upstairs, childrens downstairs with a really cool play area. Elevator available. Big makerspace, lots of collab rooms. Huge outdoor space. Tons of little quiet reading spots tucked away. Super bright with tons of windows. Can't wait to use it more!

We are trying to hit every branch of the Austin Public Library, we use a app for a wheel to spin to…read morepick the next one. This makes the 4th one we have been to, Spicewood, Central, and Yarborough Branch have been previously visited. We want to see the differences and support the local library. This one had a larger outdoor area then most and even had a table and chairs outside to sit and read, not something we have seen anywhere but the central library. It also has some trails with art along it, as well as some interesting but creepy statues. A nice difference that makes it stand out. Inside they make full use of the space, they have a large kids area in the back and it seems very popular. Lots of Adult book clubs and activities as well as youth and children's events. It had one of the bigger collections of DVD's and Blu Rays for rent we have seen at any branch. It does have less computers for the public with only 6 or 7 but to be fair this is the first branch where they were not all full or close to full. In fact while we were there I think I saw one person using them. So it makes sense they focus on other things to match the area they are in. They have display caps with special displays like the picks of the people who work there, which is a nice touch. SHANA SAYS: I was impressed with the huge DVD and Blu Ray collection and I am not even a movie person, ask my husband as long as you have time to listen to him talk about it for awhile. The art outside was great, the fun artwork along the paths was unique and cool addition to this branch. They had some larger artwork in statues of some kind. I didn't get a great look due to looking at other things. This is extra nice all being outside for some fresh air and sunshine. They also have a large amount of adult and kids workshops and things to do! The bathroom was clean and they have a recycled reads area and a clearly marked hold area. They have board games you can rent and several other smaller touches that all add up. There was a cool display of cards that had a legal statement about how they don't wish to talk to you or give you consent in many many languages which was both awesome to see but sad we have gotten to that point. This location is not far, the closest one besides Spicewood Springs so we will be back to check it out more

The Georgetown library is a wonderful place to be. Getting a library card is easy. You just need to…read moreshow your identification and proof of residency. The card is free. You can check out books or music. There's a lot of places to sit in here and I see people sitting and enjoying each other's company. Some people are studying on their laptop. They have a wonderful sweet lemon kitchen area to get some food and drink drinks. The people who work here are very kind and helpful. You can check out the availability of your book online and reserve it, and they will put it in a special place for you. However, I love going through and just looking through the books and finding my book myself . There's something special about a book! When the book is due to be returned, they generously text you and ask if they can extend the rental, the avoiding charges for forgetting to return a book! There are events that are held at the library, such as concerts and other gatherings. They are posted in the front of the library. You should go look at them. This has become my new regular place. I am now reading a book series and it's so nice that I don't have to buy the book. I just read a book and I bring it back and I get the next one and in the meantime I'm certain to make a new friend! They have a children's section that just looks amazing. They even have a Jeep in there for the children to play! It is modified to be completely safe. There's no risk here. They have an elevator so you don't have to take the stairs to the second floor if you don't want to. When I was there, they were having a sculpture sale and it was just beautiful sculptures all over the library just wonderful. I highly recommend this library.
