Before the pandemic, I loved taking Zoe to storytime & baby time at the library. It was a great opportunity for her to engage with her peers, sing songs, play and hear great stories read to us by the librarians. Unfortunately, we've had to put all of that on hold for now, but this library hasn't missed a beat! Though the building isn't open to the public, you can still checkout books online and pick them up curbside. Best of all, they still have storytime for the little ones-- it's now online! The librarians sing fun songs & read wonderful stories; they even have storytime craft kits available for curbside pick up at the beginning of each month (while supplies last).

They allowed me to sign up for a library card quickly and easily during the pandemic. I can't wait to go here when distancing rules allow!

This makes the 4th one we have been to, Spicewood, Central, and Yarborough Branch have been previously visited. We want to see the differences and support the local library. This one had a larger outdoor area then most and even had a table and chairs outside to sit and read, not something we have seen anywhere but the central library. It also has some trails with art along it, as well as some interesting but creepy statues. A nice difference that makes it stand out. Inside they make full use of the space, they have a large kids area in the back and it seems very popular. Lots of Adult book clubs and activities as well as youth and children's events. It had one of the bigger collections of DVD's and Blu Rays for rent we have seen at any branch. It does have less computers for the public with only 6 or 7 but to be fair this is the first branch where they were not all full or close to full. In fact while we were there I think I saw one person using them. So it makes sense they focus on other things to match the area they are in. They have display caps with special displays like the picks of the people who work there, which is a nice touch. SHANA SAYS: I was impressed with the huge DVD and Blu Ray collection and I am not even a movie person, ask my husband as long as you have time to listen to him talk about it for awhile. The art outside was great, the fun artwork along the paths was unique and cool addition to this branch. They had some larger artwork in statues of some kind. I didn't get a great look due to looking at other things. This is extra nice all being outside for some fresh air and sunshine. They also have a large amount of adult and kids workshops and things to do! The bathroom was clean and they have a recycled reads area and a clearly marked hold area. They have board games you can rent and several other smaller touches that all add up. There was a cool display of cards that had a legal statement about how they don't wish to talk to you or give you consent in many many languages which was both awesome to see but sad we have gotten to that point. This location is not far, the closest one besides Spicewood Springs so we will be back to check it out more

This large round rock served as a guide for the Natives and Early Settlers by marking a very important low water wagon crossing. Today, the wagon wheel ruts are still visible in the area which played a key role in the Chisholm Trail Also known to some as the Round Rizzle (or Da Rizzle), it has become the second fastest growing city in Texas. Da Rizzle has one main street where you will find several eateries and bars. RR plays host to live music at venues like Juniors and The Brass Tap, just to name a couple. In front of City Hall you will find a splash pad, and, a stage for live music acts. Also, along the small stretch of Main St, you will see creative art sculptures that you will find pleasing to the eye. Da Rizzle isn't all about what you will find along Main Street. Heaven's no. RR is growing so fast it's hard to keep up with it all. Lots of nice eateries along 620, Gattis School, I35 corridor, especially in the I35/1431 area. There you will find lots of shopping and eating. I could list a bunch of businesses in this review, but, it's more exciting to venture out on your own and find your flavor. Da Rizzle carries its own unique vibe to the surrounding area. It is surrounded by fast growing communities like Georgetown, Pflugerville, and, Austin. All of which have an interesting history. Like the Capital city, RR hosts it's own festivals, just not near as many. Whatever vibe you're looking for in a Suburban City, you're bound to find something to fit your fancy in Da Rizzle.

I've met people here at the Starbucks inside and even browsed the store with friends to kill time. I know in this day of age, people are not reading books and magazines in paper form, but you can find some excellent gifts here. I've found some great gifts for many friends and relatives here. My niece loves the little collectibles they have here where it's a mystery what's inside of it. Check out the gift finder online! I always have a hard time trying to find things for people and it's a great tool to give you some ideas. You can even buy online and pick up in store. That's convenient if you know what you want and don't want to wait for shipping. The staff is friendly. I really don't need any help finding anything as I just wander around. The line moves fast to check out so don't let that deter you from coming. Parking is easy, but the parking lot is shared with restaurant and retail shoppers so during Christmas it can get crazy.
