He has not closely followed the protocol for Invisalign, but Dr. Mina has been an absolute gem: giving gentle encouragement or matter-of-fact redirection as needed. Everyone from the receptionists to the assistants are friendly, polite and professional. You can't go wrong with Kumra Orthodontics. I received excellent and reasonably priced treatment for realigning my upper and lower teeth to not hit (and prevent damage!) - and it was always such a nice experience. Good people who really care and really know their stuff. Whether you wind up primarily seeing the fabulous Dr. Mina or Dr. Bob (what a card!), you can't go wrong. Also loved that they can make their own "Invisilign," which is a more approachable option and works all the same. Also, the parking garage at 1160 19th St. NW is super close, very reasonable on Spot Hero, and likewise, super nice folks!! Cannot recommend Kumra enough! (DC-location patient).

Following several consultations with other (three) orthodontists in the area for my specific situation, I am now glad to say that I made a good decision to have Dr. Schwartz as my doctor. Dr. Schwartz is very talented orthodontist who cares about his patients and was always open to answer any questions that I had about my treatment. His practice uses state-of-the art innovative orthodontic technologies. Financial payments options presented by his staff were clear to understand and everyone at his office was very professional, super nice and ready to help. After he took off my braces, I was very pleased with the final results of the treatment! I would highly recommend his practice without reservations.

He is patient, kind, professional, and truly cares about his patients. Nina and the other dental assistants are also outstanding. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and consistently provide excellent care. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk, specifically Tifani Lively, changed my overall impression of the practice. Over time, her professionalism declined, and she repeatedly blurred the line between personal and professional interactions. On one occasion, she used my personal phone number, which was provided for my patient records, to contact me about personal matters unrelated to my treatment. After that, she contacted me several more times about personal matters. I chose not to respond to those communications because I wanted to keep our interactions strictly professional and limited to my care as a patient. I found this repeated contact to be highly inappropriate and a serious violation of my privacy. During another visit, while I was at the front desk scheduling my next appointment as instructed, she began discussing personal matters with me that had nothing to do with my care. This conversation took place during business hours and in front of other patients, making the interaction uncomfortable, unprofessional, and at times somewhat hostile in tone. I was scheduled for a retainer checkup on 8/5/2026 and confirmed my appointment the week before. Then, on 8/3/2026, I received a text message stating that my appointment had been canceled. No explanation was provided, and there was no attempt to reschedule. Given the repeated inappropriate personal contact over the weekend and the hostile nature of our most recent interaction, I am concerned that my appointment may have been canceled for reasons unrelated to my care and without Dr. Schwartz's knowledge. While I cannot confirm that this is what happened, the timing raises legitimate concerns. It is disappointing that the actions of one staff member overshadowed what was otherwise an excellent experience with Dr. Schwartz and the clinical team. I hope the practice takes these concerns seriously and reviews its policies regarding professionalism, patient privacy, and appropriate use of patient information so that no other patient has a similar experience.

Really appreciated the approach…read more We made an initial consultation appointment on their website. Very easy. I was able to submit all of the insurance and paperwork online in advance. So it made check in very easy. We met with Dr. Markova and got all of our questions and answered. We met with a staff member to go over pricing. It was very straight forward. They were able to put my teen's braces on the same day.

Updated Review - Hindsight Is 20/20: Buyer Beware…read more Looking back several years after completing treatment, I feel it's important to share my experience. My orthodontic results lasted only about 2-3 years after my braces were removed. After that, my teeth gradually shifted and gaps began to form, despite wearing my retainers exactly as instructed. When I returned to discuss the issue, I was disappointed that there were no meaningful solutions offered other than paying for additional treatment or purchasing new retainers. The retainers themselves were another frustration. I paid approximately $600 for each set, yet both broke much sooner than expected. When I contacted the office about a newly purchased retainer that appeared to be defective, I was told through the receptionist to see my local dentist instead. That response left me feeling dismissed, especially since the problem involved a retainer made by their office. Once my treatment was complete, I felt there was very little support when problems developed that were related to my orthodontic care. While the office staff was always willing to schedule appointments, my concerns ultimately weren't resolved, and I was left feeling that the only options presented involved spending more money. The office itself is attractive and offers plenty of extras, but I personally felt that those amenities were reflected in the overall cost of treatment rather than the long-term quality of care. In addition, parking is very limited and inconvenient, making appointments more difficult and expensive. Everyone's experience may be different, but mine was disappointing. I recommend researching your orthodontist carefully and considering not only the treatment process but also the level of long-term support you'll receive if problems arise after treatment. 2017 Initial Review: So excited I found VCO via google online. I had just moved and was in the middle of treatment for my existing braces, and she was one of very few who would take me in & continue my treatments. (Most orthodonists dont like to take on patients who already have braces) Her office is very clean, fun, eclectic and modern! Chrissy is wonderful, and she makes me feel comfortable to trust her with achieving my goals of a beautiful smile and straighter teeth. My monthly visits are quick and easy. They get me in and out. Chrissy always addresses my concerns, whether it's in person, email, or phone. Im excited to see my results in Nov - Dec timeframe!!.

But I also loved candy and stringy meat, so there was a whole mess of oddities happening in my mouth hole. It took me several years to get my teeth in order, and by the time I did, I was thoroughly scared of dentists. However, I'd already invested beaucoup bucks in my grill so I knew I had to maintain them, like an adult. Enter Arlington Dentistry. It's literally one block from my apartment building in Courthouse so that's a mega plus. The staff is always courteous and professional. They remember me each time--or at least they do a good job of pretending to remember me. I never have to wait in the waiting room for more than 5mins. I don't know how dentists work, but I have one regular woman (Dara) who cleans my teeth and lectures me. She's young and fun, and each visit I keep hoping she'll ask me to be BFFs. But she gets in there and does a thorough job. Then Dr. Joe comes in--I guess he's the head guy. He checks her work and makes sure nothing insane is happening. So if this dentist office were like Grey's Anatomy, Dara would be Meredith Grey, and Dr. Joe would be Baily. I love this practice because everything is no pressure (I have you read some of the reviews for other practices?!?!). I chipped a back tooth awhile ago and on my first visit Dr. Joe told me that I should probably get it filled, but that I could also just be really diligent about flossing and keeping it clean and they would just monitor it (that was 4 visits ago). Also, I've had this wonky whole in my gum since high school and NO dentists has ever even commented on it. Dr. Joe diagnosed the problem, determined it wasn't that big of a deal, but offered a procedure to correct it. Dental insurance is for suckers, so I pay OOP for it all. They're really good about working with me--like they'll give me a dental plan of action and the cost breakdown so I can kind of choose what I can afford in the future and budget for it. Also, they give free goodie bags after each visit (maybe it's built into the price) but it's nice because I haven't had to buy floss or a toothbrush in like, 2 yrs. Finally, this place takes appointments at 7:30am. I don't even have to take time off from work. Luvs it!
