Horrible. Money hungry rude staff. Dentist is totally clueless. Was trying to change dentists and this place seemed ok. I walk in and check in but they ignore me. I keep all the healthcare records in paper and digital form, and this discipline has helped me throughout my life. My treatment plan at the Choice Dental Clinic was devised on 11/10/2014, and my cart# was KH0031. My first appointment with Dr. Ally was on 11/18/2014, complete mouth debridement, eval/diagnoses. Dr. Ally told me we are considering a $30,000-35,000 treatment cost if you want your teeth straightened, including other work. The first appointment was on 11/18/2014, 2nd appointment was on 12/04/2014, and the last was number 7 on 01/28/2015. On Jan. 28th, 2015, crown porcelain was placed on tooth 30 (lower right jaw). During one of these visits, when I was getting my cavities filled, Dr. Ally didn't finish the job at once; he walked out of the room with one of his staff and started working on someone else down the hallway. I lay there in frustration then he came back and apologized; however, it was back and forth. I could hear the drill machines loud and clear from the room down the hall. No CDC guidelines were followed, and this practice is very unprofessional. Within a few days, I felt a sharp and burning pain in my upper right lip. I felt like a cut and later a nasty pimple. I discussed this with Dr. Ally, and he did apologize and nothing else. After this, I never went back there. I would like to see Choice Care Dental and other clinics around the United States follow 100% CDC guidelines and discharge their services with the highest degree of honesty and professionalism. Thank you, Choice Dental Care and Dr. Ally. Please provide clean and fair services to those who pay your salaries. People out there, please keep your records in paper or digital forms before throwing them away. read more

I was having really bad tooth pain on Friday, so I called the office to see what options they can offer. I was given the emergency number so I called. It wasn't late in the day, maybe around 6:30. I spoke to Dr Ally, who ended up being so rude. I told him what my situation was, and his response was "why did you wait until now to call me". Why give your number for emergency situations, and be rude when people call. He assumed that I didn't have insurance, and that I called him just for pain medication, which I explained that I didn't want. I just wanted to see if I can schedule an appointment to see what the problem was. He said that he would call me the next day to come in. I told him that was fine since I live within a few minutes away walking. He never called, so I ended up going to another local dentist. I will. NEVER consider coming here. read more

After my initial visit (cleaning and X-rays) I was poised to provide Dr. Ally's office with a 5-star rating, however I knew I had my wisdom teeth removal coming up shortly, and figured I'd wait until after to offer a more comprehensive review. I COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG! Dr. Ally's staff is sensational, hands-down amazing. His front office is knowledgeable, efficient and polite. His dental hygienist is compassionate and genial. That's where my positive review ends. I returned to Dr. Ally's office to have my wisdom teeth removed, and was told I would be given laughing gas to ease the stress of the procedure. I was given a couple minutes of it (didn't notice any changes) before Dr. Ally forcefully insisted he begin with the Novocaine shots (at least six). Again, I insisted that the laughing gas did nothing, to which he flippantly replied, "Most patients say that." I was then informed by Dr. Ally that he prefers not to have the laughing gas on the patient during the actual procedure. Here is where I am most frustrated. Clearly, when I'm the patient laying there with forceps in my mouth, MY PREFERENCES should be taken into account. They were completely bulldozed over. Bottom line--I was traumatized. I had my wisdom teeth yanked out of my mouth while completely lucid and aware of everything, including his having to stand above me to get leverage. I walked out of that office shaking and crying, and felt like nothing more than a nuisance to him. I wouldn't wish that office on my worst enemy. read more

Don't waste your money or time. I went there for a few procedures and now my teeth as well as my wallet regret that I did. The dentist is too rough and disregards your warnings that you are in pain. But the worse part is that he filled a cavity on a tooth that soon after I discovered needed a root canal. He referred me to a root canal doctor who did a great job, I went back to Dr. Ally for my crown- huge mistake. I was in pain for months after the new crown, I went to another dentist and they said he didn't put on or measure the crown correctly, that's why I was in pain and my gums bleeding around that tooth all the time. So I wasted $800 on that crown and had to pay another dentist for a new crown. Please don't go to this office!! read more

I would totally recommend Dr. Ally for routine dental care. He always comes in and does the work along with his assistant and typically there is minimal pain (my first two visits this was the case, the latest one was the opposite so I'm not sure what I did differently). The signage outside isn't super obvious but it's the building behind Qdoba, you have to take the elevator up to his office. It's beautiful on the inside; it really looks state of the art. I am also perpetually late and they always accommodate me, for which I am eternally grateful. Best dentist I've ever been to and I grew up here so I've been through about four not including my orthodontists. Best. One. read more

For the first time, I actually enjoyed getting a cleaning. I am quite traumatized going to the dentist as a kid. Dr.ally was amazing. He made sure I was comfortable and didn't make me feel embarrassed at all. We even made small chit-chat. I was super nervous going to my appointment that I had trouble sleeping the night before. However, I was worried for no reason. I will definitely have my regular check-up from now on from this office. The staff was super nice. The receptionist was friendly. The office seems very clean. The building is a little sketchy with an elevator that I feel like if I get stuck in it, no one would save me. Whenever I go I just take the stairs to make myself comfortable. There are only two floors and one building which is the dental office. There is street parking nearby and a small garage across the street. I was a bit hesitant with the mixed reviews on Yelp, but I can guarantee I would recommend a friend to come here. Not many places accept my insurance. I am glad Dr. Ally does. read more

I love Dr. Ally. They are professional and friendly at the same time - can you believe they actually remember me and my kids? Probably because I am always late and back their day up - sorry.... Pros: ~The hygienist doesn't hurt my gums, which are sensitive. ~They are friendly to my kids. ~They give goody bags (this is new, this was a complaint I had at first, but got over it...then OMG I got a goody bag!!! I was elated!) ~They give both me and my kids tips and talk to us about how we brush and floss. ~They will take me and my children at the same time... Love that!!! I've been a patient at Choice Dental for about 8 years. I originally chose them because they were very close to my apartment... but since then I've moved twice, and I still go out of my way to see Dr. Ally. His staff his friendly and professional - it's nice to get either, but hard to find both! Even when I run late, I've never had to wait very long. They've made suggestions that have really helped me, without pushing too hard -- for example, they suggested I switch to a sonic toothbrush, but didn't make me buy the one they had on display. And they take the time to answer my questions thoroughly. The office space is nice, new and modern. The parking isn't the best, but I've always been able to find a meter spot, and there's a garage a couple of blocks away. Dr. Ally remembers me, even though he only sees me twice a year -- since starting as his patient I've gotten married and had two kids, and he remembers and asks about them! It's nice to be seen as a person and not just a file number. I highly recommend! read more

Very unprofessional office went there for a regular cleaning because my orthodontist recommended it. It was my first time there, the dentist told me that he needed to do a procedure on me before I could do my regular cleaning (a procedure I just did 6 months ago) that cost over $200, I told him no then he left. He then proceeded to inform the nurse to re-take x-rays that I already had sent to his office before the appointment from my othrodontist. The worst part was that I left work early and nothing happened. The visit was a waste of my time. Be aware of this place all they care about is making money, ripping off the customer, and using their insurance up. I will never go back. read more

Very professional and friendly service! the first thing that comes to mind that I really like about this office is the no wait time, they have NEVER over booked me with another patient. When I walk through the door I'm always greeted and attended to in a very timely fashion. I have never just sat in the waiting area wasting my time reading magazines. Also, I have never been serviced by Dr. Ally and not have his undivided attention unlike some dentist that service 2-3 patients at a time. It is super easy to make a appointment and they also remind me when my annual exam and teeth cleaning are due. Never had a problem with them communicating with my dental insurance Atena when setting up my payments and obtainng the cost for major dental treatments. I've had cleaning, several fillings, dental crown and bridge work in the past two years. I, like most people waited WAY too long as an adult to go to the dentist. After the first visit, it was clear that a lot of work needed to be done. I've ended up going there serveral times over the last few months for various procedures and it has always been as pleasant as going to the dentist can be. First of all, there are televisions in each room that help with distracting from all the work being done. The dental assistants have always been great with friendly conversation while waiting for the novocaine to kick in. Even when work is being done by Dr. Ally, they keep up a nice little banter that keeps your mind at ease while dental tools are in your mouth. Above that, I think it speaks volumes as to how mistakes are handled more than successes. Nobody is perfect and mistakes happen. They went well above and beyond expectations to fix a mistake that had happened to make sure that everything was right. I highly reccomend coming here! read more

The doctor knows what he's doing but he doesn't care if you're in pain. His assistant is the worst. She inflicts pain even when she knows you are hurting and in pain. After doing a crown they put in a temporary crown and that kept hurting so I went back to them. As I went there, She took out the temporary crown with a tool before I even got the chance to even sit down bc she knew she had put it wrong. The doctor came in and yelled at her and told her to take measurements again. She doesn't give any proper advice when asked what to do for sensitivity. Always just wanting to get done with work n go home before 5. They have top notch stuff but not that good personal skills. 3 months later I was still having continuous pain to a point where my jawline was hurting. So I decided to go to another dentist and with a review I found out that this doctor had left a huge chunk of cement within my gum line. They didn't check to see If the crown fit right nor did they take an X-ray to ensure that the crown was put in correct. In my opinion they just overcharged and do not know what they are doing. I just had my appointment canceled on me in a very unprofessional way. This, combined with the poor quality of service I received during my first (and only) treatment, make this the worst dental practice I have ever visited. Here are the details: I had made an appointment for early this morning. My schedule is quite tight these days and this was the only time the dentist had for me so I actually ended my family's out of state holiday trip early so that I could be home and able to attend this dental appt. I have a young daughter so it is always a challenge for me to get us all up and ready and out the door for early appointments. So after all that i was sitting in the waiting room, waiting for Dr Ally to see me. He kept me waiting for twenty minutes past my appointment time. At some point he came out into the reception area and greeted me and then went back to do whatever he was doing. I am always congested in the mornings and asked for a tissue and blew my nose a few times while in the waiting room. At twenty minutes past my appt time Dr Ally sent someone out to inform me my appointment was cancelled because I was sick and Dr Ally did not "want to be contaminated." I have several issues with how this went down. First of all, this was never expressed to me as a policy. Secondly, Dr. Ally sent someone else out to cancel my appointment and this lady was so shy or scared that she was whispering. I literally had to strain to hear her. I think that he should have come out and discussed this with me directly. It felt like he was getting someone to do his dirty work. And thirdly. no one asked me if I was actually sick. I am not sick, I am just always congested in the mornings. I need to add to this that the quality of service I got when Dr Ally actually saw me was not great. He talked to his assistant the whole time he was working on my and the discussion was kind of annoying. He was talking about some woman in his life - maybe his wife - and how she wanted to join a gym for the new year but he had told her that she shouldn't bother. Ugh. He also didn't give me enough numbing medicine at first and I had to get his attention to express my pain. He then gave me so much numbing medicine that the entire half of my face was numb and actually drooping for the rest of the day. I couldn't feel my eye for the entire day. It was weird and I have never experienced anything like that before. I am new to the area but I believe there has got to be a better option than this. read more

Following that, I literally watched him work on a patient WITHOUT CHANGING HIS GLOVES... Is that even legal?? After all of that, they refused to honor the promotion they advertise, and didn't take my insurance (even though their front staff said they would when we called). It took us 3 phone calls to get an appointment here as they don't answer their phones during business hours, ever. Makes you wonder how they stay in business at all. I have been going to Dr ally office for a long time and he took very good care of my teeth. Until he told me I had to get a root canal on all 4 of my teeth at the top and I did not need root canal on all four plus that was one mistake that Dr ally made, then I had to get crowns on all 4 of my teeth in the front so he put my crowns on in 2011 and in 2013 my tooth in the front came out and I was extremely mad. So I called his office and ask to come in and he checked my mouth and I asked Dr. Ally could he fix it and he told me no and I would have to pay for it to be fixed, at the end of the day he put the crowns in my mouth so he should have fixed the issue. So I had to find another dentist and that dentist fixed my tooth with no problem. The dentist I go to know still does not understand why he did not fix the issue. That is a bad and unprofessional dentist in my opinion. So I don't abs will not go to his office again. read more
