Out of courtesy, I checked in with the front office notifying of my intentions to visit a friend. Mom and I visited with our friend for well over an hour and then excused ourselves. Overall, I am pleased with the quality of care our friend receives. There seems to be plenty of food available, activities for the residents to participate in, and so much more. Their experience at the Oakes has been better than we ever expected. They are treated so graciously and both of them say that their only complaint is that they didn't move here sooner. Both of them are really happy. The staff is excellent. All of them go out of their way and treat everyone especially nice.

Everyone here has been helpful and kind with helping her adjust. This place is clean and pleasant and lively, and truly a good place to be. They have events every day so the residents can keep busy all day if they choose to. They have bocce ball they have concerts. They have gardening. They have a sports bar. They even have a movie theater. There is something for everyone here. They serve three meals in the dining room, which are exceptional. The residents have choices of six things so they do not have to eat something that they don't care for. There are residents here who actually placed themselves here, because it's a really great place to be when you need a little help. I am so glad that we placed my mother here. I do feel that this place is a godsend.

If your family member has DEMENTIA or ALZHEIMER'S. go look in the rooms and bathrooms. it s a DUNGEON and OUTHOUSE for a restroom. the residents have a 8 by 12 foot room to sit in. no tables , no magazines . 1 tv with 6 chairs, none facing the tv. There are 22 residence in what they call the memory care unit. 2 nurses for all 22 of them. NO ONE CARES the only GOURMET MEALS they get is.... corn dogs with tater tots, grilled ham and cheese sandwich, cold scrambled eggs and toast. IF you LOVE your family member......... please, please, please do not put them in memory care unit at park place care center, 121 fm 971. Georgetown Tx. Krista Deleon is the administrator... she needs to be FIRED! It took a week for my family member to get milk with her meals. I asked they put some light bulbs in the bathroom. must be a 20 watt bulb in there. on April 14, 2025 she said the light bulbs would be replaced. on April 17, 2025 nothing has been done. she claims in a email , THEY do thorough room checks every morning. that is a LIE...............

I get a sympathy card when we have lost a pet but they can't send one for a person? Not one administrator contacted us after his passing. This facility also has difficulty with securing and keeping employees. My dad would wait patiently daily to be changed. Unfortunately he would sometimes go more than a week for bathing due to a shortage of employees. This should be your last resort. We attempted to get him in another facility twice but we're unable to do so.
