    Great Hometown hardware store. Staff is knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. They'll have what you need in a pinch.

Now the lower end vacuums…read moreappear to be garbage, very cheaply made and they are selling them at prices that don't reflect the quality. It looks like they all the cheaper model are plastic and look like crap. Who designed these things? It looks like a lot of stores are selling inferior stuff. Target is the same. Customer service I had recently was mediocre at best...guy talking fast and not really interested in me probably because I wanted something affordable. After looking at the cheaper vacuums, I decided to go else's to Auburn, Rocklin or Sac.

Out the door I go and we have our local cable service tech install it. Once installed, the tv will not turn off. We use the remote, turn it off, and 5 minutes later the tv comes back on. We have Beam tech come out, $140, and he isn't able to fix the problem. Now I have to go to LG and have them repair it. This tv is used in the bedroom for my ill husband so I plug it in and then unplug it in the middle of the night. Trying to get LG to come repair has been a nightmare. I went to Beam owner, asking them for a refund, and to have them honor the product they sell. No, they don't refund and once out the door I have to deal with LG. I am sorry I've learned a $1650 mistake by not asking, but I trusted Beam. It is now August 2, 2024 and STILL can't get LG to come fix TV. I keep Beam informed all along of no progress and they just say they are sorry. Owner did send back my $140 check saying he was sorry and thanks for my business. I went to Target last week, spent $380 on a Samsung tv. The clerk said she'd help me take the tv to the car and any problems bring it back in 30 days! Replaced the LG with new tv as we had to alleviate the stress with this and have a working tv. The LG is in its box awaiting a repair tech. We shop local and am so sorry Beam fell short on all accounts. I walked in, gave them $1650 and I walked out with nothing. Seven weeks later, I have no working LG tv and no assistance from Beam or LG. Something is terribly wrong with this customer service.

    Read the reviews and still decided to come and do business. Yelp shows open until 5. Their website…read moreshows the same. Arrived at 430. Door closed. Gate closed and shop went home for the weekend. What kind of customer centered business closes with no sign or notice and during their normal hours. Now I have to wait until Monday for a part I should have ordered online if that were the case.

    If you arrive at Standard Appliances, expect SUB-standard help…read more I went into Standard Appliances to purchase a ductless mini-split system which would comply with my Title 24 report. I provided this report to the owner who was working at the counter at the time, and he assured me that he could absolutely read the report and had a unit that would fit those specific requirements. He was extremely confident and sold me the mini-split unit. Fast forward to after installing the unit and having the required HERS report done, I was informed by the professionals that this unit did not in fact meet the Title 24 requirements that were provided to Standard Appliances. I spoke with the owner afterwards to let him know this, with the sole purpose of letting him know they may want to pay a bit more attention to the details of the Title 24 report provided to them for the next customer (or victim). The owner proceeded to yell at me and complain that he did nothing wrong, because he is not an engineer. I never asked him to analyze anything as an engineer, I simply asked to buy a unit that was up to the specific requirements for which he had replied confidently he knows exactly how to read these reports. If you prefer to not get yelled at and treated extremely poorly, take your business elsewhere. The owner will yell at you for 5 minutes straight while not listening to any word of reason from you. There are plenty of appliance stores that sell identical products to that of Standard Appliance, and you will be very happy you were not verbally abused.
