Can't say enough good things about Mike of George the Plumber's! Without a doubt, I will use Mike and this company for all my future plumbing needs. My garbage disposal inexplicably stopped working, causing my sink to back up with water and my dishwasher to stop draining properly. I contacted George the Plumber, and Mike responded immediately with the utmost professionalism and expertise. He worked me into his schedule the very next day, and he came by and gave my system a quick fix without overcharging for it. Many thanks to Mike and Wilfredo for their quick and helpful work today. I cannot say enough good things about this service today! Everything you'd want in a plumber -- including being responsive, communicative, honest, and fair -- you will find in Mike and his team. They will be permanently added to my list of repairmen moving forward. read more

Mike answered right when I called and sent James directly over to clear a really clogged toilet. The price was less than half what some plumbers in the area charge for the same work. It's a small problem for a plumber, but a big weight off my shoulders at the end of a long work day. read more

The outdoor spigot in our back yard had not worked since we moved into our home 11 years ago. James Mabie from George The Plumber carefully worked backwards from the spigot into the house and eventually solved the mystery of why the water wasn't flowing where it was supposed to go; and, more importantly, figured out where the water was going and helped us avert a disaster. James stayed in contact with me over the phone (I was away from home) the entire time, carefully explaining what he was doing and making sure it was good with me. We will call George The Plumber for all our future plumbing needs. James did not patch up the drywall that was cut away for the work. We will contract another professional to do that. read more

George The Plumber, Inc. was great! James arrived early (he called prior to make sure that was OK), quickly diagnosed the problem, and fixed my washer drain issue. Exceptional work and very reasonable rates. I am calling George The Plumber the next time I need a plumber! Thanks! read more

Mike worked with me to consider several options to a plumbing problem then sent an estimate for different approaches. James addressed the problem quickly, efficiently and at the estimated cost. I highly recommend George the Plumber as professional, courteous, and honest. read more

I called George the Plumber to deal with clogged pipes, but also asked them to help with a long lists of deferred maintenance. Mike came and fixed every plumbing problem I had, quickly and professionally. He snaked and cleared three drains in a bathroom. He cleaned and repaired clogged shower heads that hadn't worked properly in months. He replaced a leaky utility sink faucet. And he diagnosed a long-standing water pressure issue in our master bath. We're very happy with our experience and will call back Mike and George the Plumber the next time we need plumbing help. read more

Mike and his team are the absolute best plumbers in the area bar none. Mike has been servicing both of our homes here in Woodside for over 20 years and always co es through. He is responsive, honest and gets the work done correctly and always fairly priced. He has done hot water heaters, leaky facets, garbage disposals, clogged toilets, replaced all fixtures & many other jobs. If you give him a call you will be a customer for life. He is that good. And all his helpers are top notch as well. Recently his partner John Harper completed a hot water heater warrantee and while he was here solved another plumbing issue. Just outstanding! 10 stars read more

Best plumber ever in every respect! Perfect installation of kitchen faucet which came with inadequate parts. They supplied parts that worked at no extra charge. read more

I give the highest possible recommendation to George the Plumber team. We purchased a 1900 DC row house and had a few items that needed addressed, leaking faucet, rocking toilet, etc. They are punctual, professional, and high integrity. After an internal discussion of our completed work. The owner actually asked if he could double check our basement toilet repair-at NO CHARGE on a Saturday. He ended up working on it for more than an hour to perfect the solution to ensure a long-term fix. So happy to have them in speed dial if a plumber is ever needed. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. Mike, James, John and Sophia are always responsive, kind, professional and trustworthy. I recommend them highly and wouldn't use anyone else. read more

This review is for two separate service calls/repair experiences that we've had with George the Plumber recently (well, really Mike and James from George the Plumber :) TL;DR - both times were five stars + Our first service call with GtP was for an emergency service when we discovered one night that the sewer line at our house was backed up. When we ran the shower, water backed up outside our back door and came into the house. We got in touch with GtP the next morning, and they had James at our house within a few hours. Upon first inspection, James thought we would have to remove the basement toilet (original, from the 40s) and replace it (those things don't go back on once you take 'em out) to get to the backup. But it turned out that they were able to clear it without doing that and within a couple of hours, we were back in business with a totally clear sewer line. Bonus on this job for: 1) not unnecessarily replacing the toilet, which saved us hundreds of dollars, and 2) James cleaned up a very nasty sewage mess outside our backdoor which I appreciate maybe more than having a working toilet. Also, Mike (the owner) stopped by and checked in to see how things were going. Super pleasant and friendly. A month later, we had a non-emergency service call to replace our leaky kitchen faucet. Originally, my partner was going to do it but we discovered that the cold water shut off valve was broken, so decided to let the pros handle it. We had James back at our house within 48 hours of calling them this time. James was able to come earlier in the day than expected, and once again knocked out the job in a totally reasonable amount of time. He ended up replacing both the hot and cold water valves under the kitchen sink, installed the new faucet, and removed the old sprayer hose. In addition to being total plumbing pros, everyone at George is very friendly and easy to talk with. James explains everything that he's doing or that needs to be done, and they are up front about the (very reasonable) pricing. My background is in residential construction management/customer service and I've dealt with a lot of subcontractors who are great at the work they do but not at the people-part. This isn't the case with George's team. They're all awesome, and I'm so thankful to have found a reliable, professional plumber for our home. read more

Faucet replacement and fixing leaking bathtub. Professional, communicative, great work. Good service. Would call again.

James came to our house, diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote. He was courteous and professional. It was a great experience and this company will now be my go-to! read more

Perfect plumber I called these guys based on the reviews on yelp. Luckily there was a cancellation so it worked out great. Mike showed up on time, was polite and professional and got the two jobs I needed to be done efficiently without padding of time or extra charges. I've tried many different plumbers and generally had okay to good experiences, but this was superior service so I'll be sticking to them for all my future plumbing needs. All they need is to take credit cards to get to a five-star rating. read more

This is the plumber you want working in your house! We only regret that we didn't know him when we originally moved into our house and had work done by someone else. Mike, George's son, has done numerous repairs for us including changing an outside water line and repairing indoor plumbing. He is meticulous, responsive and always does the job well. We really appreciate his excellent customer service and the high quality of his work. George the Plumber is our forever plumber. read more

We have a history of being plagued with pinhole leaks, and needed a section of pipe replaced in our basement. I was able to receive an estimate after sending in pictures, and when they arrived they also saw indications that a linked section was likely to start leaking - this is typical, you fix one spot and it starts leaking nearby! For just a little more, they replaced that section too! They arrived at the time I was expecting, and were done by the end of the window in the original quote, which really helped my schedule for that day a lot! read more

Very pleased and continue to have high confidence in this service. Mike is excellent.

They gave us knowledgeable and careful service, diagnosing and resolving several problems that another plumber didn't. We emailed to get an appointment and heard back promptly. They showed up on time. They were tidy and polite. I'd recommend them highly. - Trisha read more

It has been a few years since my last review but I had to come back to reiterate again how great it is to work with Mike, James and the rest of the team. We have unfortunately had a number of issues recently with our plumbing and Mike is always my first call because of the combination of great work, responsiveness, and genuine care for the customer. Mike has gone out of his way a few times to find an open slot in the schedule to help us take care of an urgent situation. His team is great at explaining what the issues are and work that needs to be done in a simple and straightforward way. I wish every home repair experience was as great as working with the George the Plumber team. Thanks guys! read more

Mike & his crew came over to do what I thought would be a simple task. Replace our big old hot water heater with a new, energy efficient one. Problem turned out to be that in the intervening 23 years, the old unfinished basement had been nicely finished and the water heater was tucked away behind a wall. At first blush, it looked like there was no way to pull out the old water heater without costly, messy demolition. But they found a way. With lots of muscle, sweat and patience they wrangled it out of there and squeezed the new one in with no need to disturb any of the new structures. They are the best! read more

Whatever goes wrong in my house that involves water, inside or outside, I call George the Plumber. So I can say that this is a great company.......that I recommend unequivocally. read more

Definitely made my day. I frustrated and was looking at very long wait but after trying one more call to George the Plumber I got very lucky. The Plummer's came quickly to assess and low and behold they could repair it right then. I am over the moon. He made me feel that all things were possible and doable. They were professional quick, I learned a lot, and ultimately more affordable than I expected for this speedy excellent service. I really felt in good hands. And I have a plumber for life! read more

This company is comprised of a great agreeable team. From scheduling, to ordering parts, to sorting ideas, being prompt and professional as well as evaluating options and installation. Mike Xeron has helped us before and, as always, this most current situation was handled with sensitivity and professionalism. We discovered a good bit of water in our basement one night. I left a message with Mike and other plumbers in a desperate attempt to get someone out right away. Mike was the only person to say he could come out - and he came first thing in the morning (even though he was leaving on vacation that same day). He diagnosed the problem (crack in our main water valve) and was able to have one of his team members - John Harper - come out to repair the problem within a couple of hours. John and his assistant took care of the issue and advised me on some other, more minor, issues we were having. Mike will always be the first person I will contact for plumbing needs! read more

I don't write a lot of reviews, but after a lot of bad experiences with other plumbers I wanted to make sure to get the word out on my experience. Mike came and quickly addressed the three issues we were having, a stopped up garbage disposal, stuck valve on a bathroom sink, and a shower valve that only did cold water. He was extremely professional, fixing the disposal when I was more than ready to have him replace it and give me advice on how I can avoid issues in the future, replacing the valve, and saving me a ton of money on my shower valve. I found Mike extremely personable and easy to relate too, eager to answer any questions I might have. I can't recommend them enough! read more

I had a really positive experience with mike. I was concerned about having somebody in my home. But mike wore a mask. I called him and left a message. He returned my call within a few minutes. He said he could be at my house within an hour. He showed up about ten minutes later, since he happened to be working in the neighborhood. He was courteous and personable, and explained exactly he was doing. He promptly fixed the problem with my toilet. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely hire him again if I need a plumber, read more

I'm thrilled to find George the Plumber. I was struggling to light the pilot light on my hot water heater. Someone suggested I call George the Plumber. I called, and over the phone, Mike patiently and slowly talked me through how to light the pilot. He assuaged my fears and helped me trouble shoot. I could not see the pilot light, so we planned an appointment, even though his truck was going to be serviced. After truck repairs, as scheduled, and with very regular updates on arrival times, Mike arrived to help! I am so happy to have hot water again! Thank you for the wonderful customer service! read more

Mike to the rescue!!! This past week temps have been the lowest in years. As I write this, the current temp is 14F with a -1F wind chill. Trying to find a competent and educated plumber, when freezing pipes and broken boilers are all over the news is extremely difficult. A friend recommended George the Plumber, so I gave him a call. As a matter of fact - I emailed him. Mike, George's son, replied almost immediately and to my surprise told me he could fit me in the next day. (We had no hot water for 2 days, which means no showers!) Mike arrived on time and took care of business. Now my family doesn't stink anymore. Thank you so much, Mike!! read more
