Stay away. The office is only focused on how much $$ they can get from you. Sold my teenage daughter on $800+ glasses she didn't need then told me they could not reverse the order. Yes, I should have been more attentive to the situation but why would I think the office would think it was OK to sell a teenager, there on her own, such a purchase? Reflects on the intent and scruples of this operation. Ther are plenty of very good, reputable optometrists out there to choose from. This not one of them. Find another. read more

They are very attentive here. They take care of you. I love that they always know who I am, and I just started going. Dr. Amatuzzi is happy, friendly, and very easy to talk to. One other great thing: I went over the summer so I had my son with me a couple of times. They made it very easy to have a kid around. Both myself and my husband have had excellent experiences here and I felt compelled to write a review. Dr. Amatuzzi is upbeat, professional and knowledgeable. We found the machines and equipment used to be better technology than other optometrists we've seen. I have one eye that sees poorly and in the past I've had a hard time starting a prescription because the difference was too intense (headaches, dizziness). Dr. Amatuzzi realized this before I even mentioned my past experiences and I am in the middle of a three month program to gradually increase my prescription until my eyes can handle the full prescription. This is by far the best eyeglass experience I've ever had. I've been wearing my glasses every day, all day for over a month which is longer than I've ever been able to in the past 15 years. The staff in the front is friendly and very helpful, they are excellent at suggesting frames but also giving you your space. There is a great selection of frames and tons of sunglass options. They have high end pairs but plenty of less expensive options as well. You'll have no problem finding a few pairs that you love. We found their prices to be comparable to any other eye doctor we've been to. The office and boutique are clean and modernized. I've seen it quiet and also busy, there are always plenty of people (3-4 ladies helping in the front) and plenty of room for browsing. (There's a fish tank for the kiddos too). We happened to be there one day around Christmas time and the entire front staff were in holiday sweaters; it's just a happy atmosphere. We're thrilled with our experience so far (three appointments between the two of us, as well as one initial walk-in/browse and one pick-up appointment for frames). He can get lenses/frames ready next day if needed. Always plenty of parking on Main Street or just behind in the parking lot. Right in town if you're looking to grab a cup of coffee after. I would highly recommend Dr. Amatuzzi and his staff to anyone looking for professional, efficient, friendly and modern eye services. read more

Dr. Amatuzzi was friendly, upbeat and took the time to explain what he was seeing as he walked me through test results. I've never been one to write reviews but felt compelled to write one about Dr. Amatuzzis practice but specifically Dr. Maggiulli. I went in with an eye issue and without an appointment. Dr. Maggiuli squeezed me into her already busy schedule without hesitation. She was kind, helpful, and informative. The rest of the staff couldn't have been better. They were all smiling and friendly. I would recommend this practice to everyone and will be traveling past several other optometrist to go back. I'm happy to report because of Dr. Maggiuli I'm on my to a clear bill of eye health. read more

His team provides excellent consultation is helping pick the right frames and again takes the time to service your needs. Office overcharges for negotiated rates with VSP. They will tell you your co-pay is $475 and VSP statement will show out-of-pocket costs should be $225. Think this is a way to recover costs that they could have charged to patients if they had no insurance. Why take the lesser negotiated rates when you can rip off your patients and make them pay the difference? Also, you can have 2 sets of books. 1 with the money actually collected and a 2nd with the money you should have collected if you only charged the rates VSP mandates. Stay clear of this place! read more

Had a horrible experience with this place. About four months ago I bought 2 pairs of very expensive glasses and lenses here. Recently, I dropped the most expensive pair on the paddle court and they lenses and frames scratched. I call the office and they said they could replace the lenses under my VSP plan but could not do anything about the frames so I said fine, let's replace the lenses and I'll buy new over $500 frames. So a week later on a saturday I go to pick up the lenses and they say the Dr can't do them right now but likely later today and we'll call you later. They never called. then i call on tuesday, they're closed on Mondays and they say they'll call me back. they didn't. I call again today 9 days later and leave a voicemail. they call me back and say we're waiting for you to bring the old frames and scratched lenses back. No on told me this. I bring in the scratched lenses and frames and she says he can get to them in an hour so I go have lunch down the street. she calls me a half hour later and says you're lenses are too scratched and you need to buy new ones. i said this has been an awful experience and i ask her to refund me the money i paid for the frames which she did. will never go here again nor will any of my other family members. plenty of other options around here. read more
