I had a bad experience with the eye exam and the lenses I purchased. I had a severe reaction (flashing in one eye) to the eye drops the Dr put in my eyes during the eye exam. This was probably not the fault of the Dr but their on call Dr did not return my call that evening. I am also not happy with lenses. You can see a severe line where the glasses meet the frame. It looks terrible. I don't have a strong prescription and this has never been noticeable in any other pair of glasses I've had. The cost of polycarbonate lenses was $250 for just the lenses. This is excessive and the lab didn't do a good job. read more

The ladies that helped with my insurance and glasses were great. The young woman who tried to help me with contact lenses was very difficult to deal with both for myself and my son ( and on other occasions ). I tried to order contacts three months after my full eye exam and she told me I needed to come in for another eye test as my prescription could have changed. I told her the prescription says it's good for 12 months and I just wanted to order lenses and she said no...I will not return here. read more

Just sub par in every way...The glasses selection.. The exam. No thought into using any kind of tissue for your chin during the exam. Just stick your chin on the same bar everyone else has. This is the 2nd My Eye Doctor location I have been too and they just are incredibly mediocre. I miss the old days of decent, thorough optometrists who worked for themselves. read more

So i accidentally sat on my glasses this morning 3 hours before headed to Europe on vacation. The lenses came out and the plastic line that held them in tore on both sides. I drove to MyEye Dr literally as they were just opening up. I explained my situation and they immediately went to work on them and repaired them even though the frames were damaged. Good as new and the price... zero. Can't ask for better customer service. They are my go-to glasses place. Thanks for saving me before my trip! read more

This is the worst place, do not go here. My experience was awful. *They* were 40 minutes late for the first appointment and I had to re-schedule. The next appointment they brought me in right away, so I thought things would be okay. But no. The tech was done with me in 10 minutes, then she had me wait in one of the exam rooms, giving me false hope that the Doctor was on his/her way. From walking in the door to seeing the Doctor was an hour. By the time the exam was finished I'd spent an hour and 37 minutes in this place. Are you kidding me? DO NOT go to this franchise eye facility. When I was finished, I just walked out. I'm not trying to discuss the bill, pick out frames or *anything else* with these people, ever. I used to go here but there were 2 issues that really turned me off: when I asked them for my prescription they wouldn't give it to me! I didn't find any frames I liked there and wanted to go elsewhere. I instead let them talk me into buying the most uncomfortable, unflattering and expensive frames that I don't even wear. I just kept using my old glasses. The final straw was seeing how they handled their traffic during Covid (I had to call the number posted on the door so they could let me in, then I had to change out my mask, sanitize my hands, blah, blah, blah). When picking up the glasses described above, they wouldnt allow me in to check the fit. Instead they just cracked the door and gave them to me with gloved hand. Overkill. I want personal, warm service without the hard sell. Dont like being treated like another number. read more

I came in 10 minutes late due to scrambling out of my house with my 11 month old and then running into construction work. My appointment was at 10:05 and was being checked in at 10:15. I was already being asked the covid check in questions when an assistant came asking "who is this" and then got annoyed and said "she's late." I asked if there was a problem, the assistant ignored me and walked away, the receptionist stopped checking me in and informed me that they are going to ask the doctor if they can still see me. The doctor said i have to reschedule since its now past 15 minutes of my appointment. I spoke to the supervisor, who didn't even introduce herself so i dont know her name, but she said they have very strict check ins. She also informed me that i was almost 20 minutes late, since thats what her staff is telling her. God forbid anyone is ever running late, especially with a baby. read more

Consistent resistance to provide a copy of my Rx, especially the PD measurement. My insurance pays for up to $200 for frames. I selected one for approx $150...Later I searched the exact frame, online, and found it for $49. The exam was fine, however, the upsell process is not. Should my insurance co. pay $100+ for a frame that I could easily buy for $49? read more

RUDE front desk!!! I had two back to back appts, one for a minor. Both were confirmed via the same mobile number, the parent's number, made online and confirmed via two separate text "Y" responses......  Walked in, four people are standing behind the desk - zero patrons visible throughout the establishment. No hello, no nothing, I say who we are to the person standing there and the RUDE front desk person, sitting off to the side, not even the one right in front of me....says "you're going to have to be pushed back an hour because you didn't confirm the appointment" (no hello, no hey seems like something went awry, nothing but YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO stated abruptly).  Nah, I'm just 'going to have to' take my eyes back to my local eye Dr... the only reason we didn't was for ease of a Saturday morning appointment.  Stay local, this chain is a joke.  Four people, still standing there doing ??? ... If that's the way they treat you, no way you're getting my dollars. You lose the ongoing revenue of multiple contacts and glasses wearers, and I encourage all locals to stick with your local eyecare providers!!!! read more

I have been a client/patient for many years. The eye exam that Dr. Patel performed was professional, comprehensive and well done. My issue frankly is with the front staff. I asked the technician to duplicate the options from the glasses I was wearing. After the obligatory 10 day wait I picked up the glasses. When I got home I noticed that the finish on the glasses was not complete. I returned them and they were sent back. Another 10 days pass before I pick up the glasses and realize that the type of lenses were not the same (poly carbonate as opposed to a thinner material). The front manager informs me that she will personally handle the issue. Another 10 days and the glasses were wrong for the 3rd time! The edging was not finished correctly. Fast forward another 10 days and STILL no glasses!! I had enough and asked for my money back. Bottom line... the Drs are great, the quality control for the merchandise has MUCH to be desired. I will be looking for another Optometrist. read more

I was in search of a new eye doctor. I specifically chose this location (Ridgefield) because it came recommended by a friend. I made the appointment but when I got there I was told it was the 10th of the following mont. I had taken time off from work and it was literally a wash. I scheduled another appointment while I was there with a woman named Patricia at the front desk. We finally settled on another date Wednesday February 26th at 6pm. Well... last night I received a call at 6:10 pm to inquire about my appointment for Friday the 28th at 4:00pm. When I called to day to talk to someone about the apparent mistake, I was told there was no way the appointment could be for today. I decided to take my business elsewhere. I feel as a business, integrity from the beginning is key. I do not feel comfortable with this office handling any important paperwork of mine especially anything having to deal with my vision. This was definitely the most enjoyable visit to an eye doctor I have ever had! The technician, Emily, was delightful and informative. Doctor Bhatti was efficient, helpful, and energetic. The front desk staff provided great assistance and a thorough breakdown of my options. It's just a wonderful office top to bottom. I would never have expected to be inspired to run to yelp after an eye exam but that is exactly what happened. Highly recommend! read more

I visited the Ridgefield,CT office and was so happy I did. I actually had been trying to get in for an appointment since February. Before all the madness of Corona broke out. Unfortunately, there was a mix up with the date and I ended up canceling. Then I decided I would try Danbury, Newtown Roads location. There was a mix up there as well. TWICE! I was ready to just go to another Doctor or organization, but after weeks of being home on a computer for work, I needed to be seen. I called on a Thursday and was able to be seen on Saturday in Ridgefield. I was extremely pleased with the service from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. Dr. Bhatti is amazingly informal yet professional!!! She is thorough and talks you through the process. The front staff was thorough in ensuring I switched from my mask to the one they provide as well as providing generous amounts of hand sanitizer. They also made clear all instructions regarding what items I could take in with me. (If I take in my purse, it must stay on my persons at all times) I have not ordered my glasses that were ordered yet, but when I do, I will update this review and give a final grade. So far, I will be returning to this location and hopefully Dr. Bhatti will be there for a long time. They have a hidden gem with her and the service she provides. In my opinion so far, all other locations should be modeled after this location. read more
