Fast, professional, competent. Submitted a request for quote online to replace all the hardware on two exterior doors. They responded within a few minutes. After a brief exchange of messages and a short phone call, Omar, the tech, was on his way. Turns out only part of the hardware had to be replaced and we would have him re-key everything else to match the new hardware. He had to return to the shop to get the hardware and texted pictures of the two options so we could choose. After he returned to our house, he wrote up the detailed estimate and had me sign. The quote included one hour of labor but he had to add another half hour because he had to enlarge one of the existing holes so the new hardware would fit. Total cost was just under $400, and total time from arrival to receipt was about 2 1/2 hours (labor was 1 1/2 hours). Trip charge, hourly rate, and each re-key price were good, hardware seemed a little high. They use Kwikset lock sets that have the smart key feature. Next time might go get the hardware ourselves. But worth the money to have it done same day and done right. We would definitely call them again if we need locksmith services. read more

My friend was in a bad accident. While house sitting, I accidentally closed the front door behind me (the door automatically locks). Since I was on the phone at the time and had no other choice, I was able to call a locksmith. What made me a tremendous fan of George's was what happened next. I was dog sitting and lost the key to my friend's house, I called many companies and none of them wanted to help since it's not my house. Finely I found "George DFW Locksmith" he was very nice and friendly over the phone and said that first he is coming and we will find solution, when he was on the way he asked me to get a hold of the owners and send him an email with their picture ID and consent letter for the service, by the time he came they already sent the letter. He got into the house quickly and since I had to lock the door later on he even rekeyed the lock and gave me 2 keys. We called to have Georege install a new more complicated cylinder into a new lock on our front door, which one company had no idea how to fix the lock. George came out and had no problem fixing our new lock for our front door in about 20 minutes. He is very personable and knowledgeable. Our door had new paint which he was very careful not to scratch. We will never call anyone else if we have problems with a lock. I am giving all the information to our large family in case they need a locksmith. He deserves a 10 star not a 5. Long story short. Was on a phone call, stepped out of the truck momentarily and My kid locked my keys in my truck, while helping get all his back to school gear out. I totally recommend using George for any of your locksmith needs. He was punctual, professional and thorough. My door knob lock was broken, and he quickly removed the bad part and replaced it. One night before going to bed when I was locking things up, the deadbolt in my front door lock wouldn't lock. Not good. First thing next morning I read reviews here about George, called him and he was at my house in 30 minutes and had fixed my front door lock and re-keyed my back door lock in about an hour.
