It's really hard to find honest mechanics these days, but after speaking with the gentleman (come to find out it was the owner's son) on the phone, I immediately felt at ease. I brought my car in, and they diagnosed the problem. They let me know it might take some time since the part wasn't in stock. After I explained my situation to the owner Mr. Mahida, he told me to give him until the end of the day...which I really appreciated. By 5 PM that same evening, my car was ready. It wasn't cheap, but it was absolutely worth it for the peace of mind knowing my car was in good hands with honest people. I also really appreciated that they didn't try to upsell me on any services I didn't need. They did an amazing job, the service was excellent, and I would definitely recommend South Bay Euro Car!!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience…read more I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change with Sam, and immediately afterward my car began leaking a significant amount of oil onto my garage floor. Prior to the service, I had never experienced this type of major oil leak. Because the amount of oil leaking was alarming and made me feel unsafe driving my car, I stopped driving it and took it to another mechanic that was located closer to me for an inspection. Upon arrival, they immediately noticed the excessive oil leak. After inspecting the vehicle, they determined that oil had leaked throughout the engine bay, saturated the drive belt, and was actively leaking onto the floor. They advised me that continuing to drive the vehicle could have resulted in serious engine damage and that I was fortunate the vehicle made it to their shop. According to the second mechanic's inspection and written findings, the excessive oil leak was caused by a broken oil filter O-ring associated with the recent oil change service. As a result, they had to replace the O-ring, perform another oil change, replace the oil-soaked drive belt, and clean the oil that had been sprayed throughout the engine bay. This left me with hundreds of dollars in unexpected repair costs that I would not have otherwise incurred. I documented everything with photos, videos, repair invoices, and written findings from the second mechanic. When I contacted Master BMW and spoke with the owner Sam, instead of accepting responsibility for the findings, I was told that my vehicle may have already had an oil leak. However, the second mechanic's inspection, diagnosis, and written documentation identified the oil filter O-ring from the recent oil change was the source of the leak. Sam offered the option of having my car towed back to his shop (Master BMW) for inspection, but after experiencing a major oil leak immediately following the service, I no longer felt comfortable having additional work performed here. Once I re-did my oil change with the second mechanic (in order to identify the leak), I was then told that because I had not returned the vehicle to Master BMW for them to inspect, they would not provide a refund for the oil change, reimburse me for the resulting repairs, or take any responsibility for the damages. To make matters worse, I had already been without transportation for several days and was informed that the owner, Sam would be out of town until the following week. I could not wait another week without a vehicle, so I had no choice but to pay another shop to repair the damage so I could safely return to work. What disappoints me most is not that a mistake may have occurred - mistakes can happen in any business. What is disappointing is the refusal to take accountability after another mechanic identified and documented the source of the leak, as well as the unwillingness to work toward a reasonable resolution despite the additional expenses, lost time, and inconvenience this situation caused. I've uploaded for reference on how bad my oil was leaking.

I don't usually write reviews, but Roberto's Auto Repair absolutely earned this one…read more I originally found them after asking ChatGPT for recommendations on a trustworthy mechanic to diagnose some steering issues with my car, and Roberto's was the first recommendation. From my very first phone call, I had a great experience. I called on a Thursday, and they were able to get me in the very next day. The receptionist was friendly, welcoming, and made the entire scheduling process incredibly easy. When I dropped my car off on Friday, I explained the steering concerns I'd been experiencing. They listened carefully, assured me they would thoroughly inspect everything, and later that afternoon called to let me know they expected to have the car ready by Monday. What impressed me the most was their honesty. After inspecting my car, they told me they couldn't find anything that needed to be replaced regarding my steering concerns. They easily could have recommended unnecessary repairs, and I never would have known the difference, but they chose to be honest instead. That kind of integrity is hard to find. They also performed a wheel alignment, topped off my tire pressure, and even identified a completely separate issue that will need attention in the future. They gave me a quote for that repair without any pressure or sales tactics. To top it all off, my final bill was nearly $200 less than I had originally expected. Finding a mechanic you can genuinely trust is rare, and I feel like I found one. Roberto's Auto Repair has earned a customer for life. If you're looking for honest people who do quality work and treat customers with respect, I can't recommend them enough.
