WORST AUTO REPAIR SHOP EVER!!! We had a very disappointing experience with Sam at this mechanic shop. We brought our car in for repairs, but after their work, the vehicle had additional problems that it did not have before. Instead of resolving the issue, the situation became even more frustrating. When we raised our concerns, the mechanic was unprofessional and yelled at us rather than addressing the problem respectfully. I expected honest communication and quality workmanship, but unfortunately received neither. I trusted this shop with my vehicle and left feeling frustrated and unheard. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience. I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change with Sam, and immediately afterward my car began leaking a significant amount of oil onto my garage floor. Prior to the service, I had never experienced this type of major oil leak. Because the amount of oil leaking was alarming and made me feel unsafe driving my car, I stopped driving it and took it to another mechanic that was located closer to me for an inspection. Upon arrival, they immediately noticed the excessive oil leak. After inspecting the vehicle, they determined that oil had leaked throughout the engine bay, saturated the drive belt, and was actively leaking onto the floor. They advised me that continuing to drive the vehicle could have resulted in serious engine damage and that I was fortunate the vehicle made it to their shop. According to the second mechanic's inspection and written findings, the excessive oil leak was caused by a broken oil filter O-ring associated with the recent oil change service. As a result, they had to replace the O-ring, perform another oil change, replace the oil-soaked drive belt, and clean the oil that had been sprayed throughout the engine bay. This left me with hundreds of dollars in unexpected repair costs that I would not have otherwise incurred. I documented everything with photos, videos, repair invoices, and written findings from the second mechanic. When I contacted Master BMW and spoke with the owner Sam, instead of accepting responsibility for the findings, I was told that my vehicle may have already had an oil leak. However, the second mechanic's inspection, diagnosis, and written documentation identified the oil filter O-ring from the recent oil change was the source of the leak. Sam offered the option of having my car towed back to his shop (Master BMW) for inspection, but after experiencing a major oil leak immediately following the service, I no longer felt comfortable having additional work performed here. Once I re-did my oil change with the second mechanic (in order to identify the leak), I was then told that because I had not returned the vehicle to Master BMW for them to inspect, they would not provide a refund for the oil change, reimburse me for the resulting repairs, or take any responsibility for the damages. To make matters worse, I had already been without transportation for several days and was informed that the owner, Sam would be out of town until the following week. I could not wait another week without a vehicle, so I had no choice but to pay another shop to repair the damage so I could safely return to work. What disappoints me most is not that a mistake may have occurred - mistakes can happen in any business. What is disappointing is the refusal to take accountability after another mechanic identified and documented the source of the leak, as well as the unwillingness to work toward a reasonable resolution despite the additional expenses, lost time, and inconvenience this situation caused. This time I'd like to give them a shout out for helping me with upgrading and sourcing the parts I needed for the radiator service in an urgent timeframe. My cars radiator decided to fail on me yesterday and I have my car back today with an upgraded CSF radiator and new hoses OEM which Sam had to go out of his way to get them from Orange County. Just came back from getting my car at Master BMW. In short, I found my mechanic. I previously went to a (unnamed) great shop on Hawthorne. They are trustworthy and give good service, but because of their operating structure (mechanics on commission) and location, they are overpriced. Before that, I went to Southbay Eurocar in Torrance. That place had no service or accountability. I'm shocked people go there because it's not even cheap, why??? I digress, but wanted to provide context that I was stuck between an expensive shop and a shady shop. But back to Master BMW. What would you do if you were skeptical of past shops and went to an overpriced one because you trusted them. Then you found a shop that was as trustworthy, 40% cheaper, and repaired things and did positive things no other shop does. Well I did, and I'm writing this review for this shop. When I dropped my car off, Sam went through my car and showed me other issues the other shops I just came from never bothered to tell me. He showed me that I had critters living in my engine block and told me how to prevent them so they don't chew up my wires. I went in for control arm replacement, engine gasket (oil leak), heater hose/flange (coolant leak), battery replacement, air filter, drive belt replacement, alignment...yea I had problems and he took care of all of it. He was nice about it, but asked when was the last time I went for servicing- was a while. Haha When I got my car he told me he had to put in extra gas (that he didn't charge me) because I was on fumes. He also cleaned my engine block. Who does that!!!! And he turned my car around the next day. Above and beyond service at prices below the other shops (let alone the dealer). Why leak this gem, because Sam is awesome and he deserves your business. I am going to keep my 11 year old bmw for years longer thanks to Sam, let that sink in. read more

Sam took in my Mazda CX-5 and replaced the rear swaybar + installed underbody braces. I had a hard time finding a shop that would install the aftermarket parts that I have, but he was very nice and accommodating to me. Other shops were giving me 6-7 hour estimate for the job. Called quoted me $135 for my Bmw. Picked up my car was charged $160 and it took 3 hours. Whatever....that's not the worst part. Immediately noticed my car running differently. Check my invoice says they used a different oil weight than anyone else has used changing my oil. Starting getting white smoke on cold starts and felt more friction in my engine when accelerating then coasting. A month later was going to have my friend change my oil and check out my car since I was having issues. my friend Checked my oil it was black. Which makes me think he didn't even change my oil or filter just topped me off and charged me. Don't trust him!! -Charged me a different price then what I was quoted in the phone -didn't even do the work he charged me for and I feel like he really messed up my car. read more
