Tai Chi classes - With its roots deep in Taoist philosophy, Wu style Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese internal martial art. Study of this art improves internal awareness by focusing on concepts of balance and centering which benefit many facets of life. Its slow and gentle movements help to focus the mind on purposeful interaction with the body. Tai Chi (pronounced "ty jee") increases mind body connection, reduces stress, improves balance and, according to Chinese medicinal philosophy, increases longevity. Geoff Thompson has over 30 years of martial arts experience and has been studying Tai Chi since first learning Wu Style 37 Posture Taiji Quan, while living in Beijing in 1984.

I was a member here for several years. The reasons I left are as follows: 1) lack of cleaning in…read morewomen's area and other areas. Lying on the floor of the women's area was disgusting. It was very inconsistent. 2) Lack of working equipment in different areas. The theater room, the cardio room, the women's area- always multiple machines out of order. 3) lack of bands and other equipment. Their bands are personal use not commercial use so they break down quick. Other gyms in town have commercial grade bands and they work and last better. 4) number of members. There's just too many for the space. It's maxed out and not a good experience.
