Our initial elation was tempered a little when we uncovered some badly patched areas that we thought might not be able to be repaired. But then we contacted Hardwood Perfections. They came out quickly and advised us that indeed they could repair all of the damage and could do it on a timetable that fit perfectly into our plans. The floor refinishing crew did amazing work. After pulling up all of the damaged materials they rebuilt portions of the subfloor and then laced in new oak boards in a way that matched the existing floor perfectly. Next were several rounds of sanding to remove the old finish and even out everything. On the third and final day they applied Bona Natural water-based sealer followed by three coats of Bona matte finish. The results were stunning. Hardwood Perfections completely transformed this living space into something beautiful and amazing. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was flawless. All along the way we were advised of what was happening so there were never any surprises. Hardwood Perfections finished the job a full day ahead of schedule, did amazing work and stuck right to the estimate for services. Everything was fantastic and I heartily recommend them to anyone seeking to have old floors refinished or renewed. Hats off to Slav, Silviu and William for their truly amazing work.

Getting refund for range and sealing off rooms, but would rather have had the work done right than discover what wasn't done. As for the refinishing, they nailed the loose boards I identified and sanded/sealed. Looks good.

He was professional, prompt & communicative. Pricing was very reasonable, so we decided to move forward. It was 5 day job performed by Jose and his assistant. Jose was highly skilled, experienced & knowledgable with the flooring. It felt as though they treated this project as their own home. They were timely, communicative & very thorough with each step of the process. It's very rare a company would go above and beyond, which European Hardwood Flooring did. For example, we originally had a small piece of a baseboard missing prior to the project starting. Since we had extra baseboards, Jose asked and helped us fill in the gap as he was putting them back on (was not originally in scope). It just shows they care & have pride in their work. The hardwood looks so much better now, and we are so glad we went with European Hardwood Flooring for this project. I would highly recommend this company for hardwood flooring needs.

He was friendly and polite. He did fine laying downing the flooring over our old hardwood floor. It was a 2 day job and both days he came much later than he told us he would. Towards the end of day 2 he was running out of time to finish. He was also not very good with the quality of the finishing. He had to cut a couple of floor registers because the trim he put in was too wide for the registers to fit back in place. The edge was jagged and he tried to cover it up with caulking. It looked very messy. Because he was running so late a couple of older employees came in to help him. They were good at cutting the angles on the trim. There was a large gap between the end of the floor planks and the door going into the garage. They filled the space with clear silicone. It looked very messy and as time went on it looked dirty because it was sticky. When the owner asked for final payment I paid immediately. He also asked if I was happy with the job. It told him about the registers and the gap by the garage door. He said not to worry and that he would make it "perfect". Over the next 2 1/2 months Dymitry, the owner said they would be there soon to fix it. They never followed through. Finally an appointment and time was set but once again they failed to show up on time. I waited over 2 hours. Dymitry always texted that he would be coming so I was very surprised that the person who showed up to make it "perfect" was the same young guy who had made it messy in the first place. He did smooth out and paint the registers. The gap was filled with black silicone and still looks messy and unfinished. I would not recommend this company.

The new floors made the kitchen look much better. About three years ago, we hired Joey to replace the carpet in the living and dining rooms with hardwood. Another job, the results being outstanding. He blended the new flooring with the kitchen floor such that it looks as though it was done at the same time. In September 23, we hired Joey again to install hardwood in our Master bedroom and office. As before, he used a dustless vaccum system so there was little dust after he was done. and he blended the new wood with the old so it's impossible to see where the new and existing joined. **Very disappointed with the durability and repairability of Gaia flooring**…read more We had Gaia Red Series Torre flooring professionally installed by Lane Hardwood in 2023, and unfortunately, we have been very disappointed with our experience with the product only about three years later. We have experienced significant flooring issues, including damaged/broken planks and, in a separate area near the sink, flooring that is now bulging and cupping. I understand that the causes of these issues may be different, and I am still working to determine exactly what caused each problem. However, the repair process has been particularly frustrating. Because of the interlocking installation system, we were told that individual damaged planks cannot simply be removed and replaced. Instead, large sections of the flooring need to be removed back to the wall in order to access and replace the affected area. As a result, we received repair estimates from Lane Hardwood of approximately **$2,450 for 142 square feet** and **$5,600 for 331 square feet**. I understand that not all types of damage are necessarily covered under a manufacturer's warranty. My concern is that a professionally installed floor that is only about three years old can be so difficult and expensive to repair when localized damage occurs. Gaia presents its flooring as a premium, durable product with a long residential warranty, so I expected better long-term performance and, importantly, better repairability. At this point, based on our experience with both the flooring issues and the repair process, **I would not choose this flooring again.**
