My first experience I took myself and two young toddlers and it was hard, but we also had just moved from out of town, and it was a lot of change for us. My hygenist I think was Amanda and she was amazing, great with my kids. My second experience was amazing. My hygenist, skye, was so sweet, efficient and was amazing with my kids. Dr. Evans was very professional, honest and great with my kids. He understood that my kids needed to have a positive experience and he was so sweet with them. Skye did such a good job accommodating us and was able to get my little one to get her first x rays and my other's first teeth cleaning and walked them through it so beautifully! Dentist talked to me for less than 2 minutes, they couldn't specifically tell me where my cavities were or the decay in my mouth. The employee who took my X-rays at the beginning was super nice and informative. The people working at the front desk were also super nice and attentive. The hygienist struggled to answer my questions, and overall I felt like a dollar sign rather than a person... I don't usually leave negative reviews but I unfortunately won't be returning. read more

Oh my goodness how grateful that God guided me to try out Gentle Dentistry! I am for particularly grateful for Dr. Goold and Amy, one of his dental assistants! I had been in so much pain after another dentist in another town filled in a cavity. I thought something was seriously wrong with my teeth as a whole. Amy was so wonderful and put me at ease immediately with her friendly personality and Dr. Goold quickly saw the problem! It was not nearly as bad as I thought. They took advantage of me. They made me feel comfortable and then charged me through the roof. They had me sign and pay $600 UP FRONT for 3 appointments. Then AFTER all the appointments are done they informed me that I owed another $840. My insurance didn't cover it and they admitted that they were at fault by missing the fact that I had a waiting period in my insurance. I never write negative reviews, but I've never felt so taken advantage of by a business. I've been wracked with unbearable anxiety for 2 months trying to get this company to help me. One employee was extremely apologetic and acknowledged their fault in all of it. She told me that their insurance expert had been working from out of town, and that the waiting period very clearly should have been seen in my file. Another employee coldly told me that I had no options besides a payment plan, despite everything. I'm a young single mom, and I told them all that it was the first time I'd been to the dentist in a very long time, as I have anxiety. They reassured me that the $800 would be covered by insurance but then had me sign a document saying that I was going to owe this money no matter what they said. They waiting until all my services were done to let me know I owed more. I didn't have any cavities. I didn't need any major work. I had one deep cleaning, and 2 check ups. My financial responsibility for this is now $1,440.00. No mercy. read more

Truly phenomenal customer service from initial call to the end of the visit. Everyone I encountered made me feel like we were already friends. The receptionist was terribly helpful, doing research for me. The hygienist was so friendly and personable it felt like we were catching up on old times. I have been to multiple dentists in my life and hadn't ever enjoyed any of them. I always associated the dentist with pain. Even cleanings can be painful, but then I found Gentle Dentistry and Dr. Evans. I recently had a root canal started by him and it was the least painful dental visit of my life. I have had simple cavities that hurt way worse than this root canal. He constantly asks if anything hurts, he explains what is being done, and he is friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Evans. read more

What a great experience! After having a very unpleasant ordeal at another dental office in town, I was a bit anxious about finding a new dentist. Dr Evans office was recommended to me by a friend, so I gave them a try! The front desk staff was friendly, the hygienist that I got was Meghan and she really was one of the best hygienist I have ever had. She listened to my concerns from my previous bad experience, she was very compassionate and very professional. The dentist came in for my exam ( It wasn't Dr Evans) and he just sat down for a few minutes, and wanted to know what my concerns were. Just taking the time to ask me, I felt totally relieved, I was in good hands. Coming from a very negative experience from another place to this office was the best thing I could have done. So we had a pleasant visit. HOWEVER, they are crooks. My children have always had their six month checkups, braces, etc. We went here for regular check ups. My kids weren't experiencing any pain or anything. They said my daughter needed sealants, my one son had 8 cavities, and my other son had 14 cavities!! After my insurance my expense would have been 1,600 dollars. I couldn't afford that so decided to wait. During the next six months until their next checkup we switched insurances (since it obviously didn't seem to cover much) and as a result had to swap dentists. Thank goodness for that!! It never occurred to me to get a second opinion, the new dentist said my daughter already had sealants and didn't need them and my sons had two, TWO, cavities. I was appalled that Dr. Evans was so willing to not only rip me off but give my children painful and unneeded work in their mouths involving its own side effects. Wow!! I wouldn't send soul here and I HIGHLY suggest a second opinion!!! For shame read more
