The front desk ladies are nice and kind the waiting room is normal it's all a front when you get in their they put you in little rooms that barely fit the machine too check your teeth and only have room for one guess seat i got my cavity recently filled and there were doing a good job so I thought after we got done they didn't tell me about how long I should wait to eat something they didn't even give me the courtesy of telling me when the anesthesia wears off I had to ask and after I left I didn't eat anything until the anesthesia wore off and I started checking my teeth and they chipped my tooth I have 4 pointy teeth and they chipped it they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me the doctors don't care about you they just care about themselves and getting paid the worst type of car the worst quality the only good thing about this was the process to get an appointment don't recommend coming here no matter how it may seem. read more

I wanted to find a new dentist near me and went to this office. The initial exam I was told I needed my root canal to be redone and was quoted a price of over $2000. I told them I wanted a second opinion and to speak to my insurance. My insurance (who is in network here) told me that my copay for this procedure was $500 and definitely suggested that I get a second opinion which I then scheduled with another local office. In the meantime my dental cleaning appointment came up so i decided to just go in the office and get that taken care of while I wait for my second opinion on the root canal. I assumed it was a standard (included with my insurance) cleaning. When I arrived, I was told that the dentist wanted me to get a deep cleaning which would cost over $500 . I declined and said that I'd like to speak to my insurance, as well as get more information on the procedure and whats involved in a deep clean (as I've never needed one before) before proceeding. I wanted to just get my regular cleaning taken care of. The hygenist refused to clean my teeth unless I would pay for the deep cleaning so I left. There's no communication about procedures, no justification for pricing and never have I heard of an office refusing a basic procedure such as cleaning. There are alot of dentists out there who scam patients and prey on folks who are not knowledgable about what is covered and what is not - this office is unfortunately one of those. Back office personally and rooms for Handicap people on wheelchairs. America and Miguel were owesome taking care of my mom. Doctor was rude and so was the person translating. She wasn't translating what the doctor was saying or explaining. The space is not handicap friendly, not enough room to get in with walker or wheelchair. My mom hurt her back when the doctor put the bed down and she didn't notified my mom when she was doing this, and cause for my mom to hurt her back and both knees. I had informed to the people in the back about my moms condition and of course they didn't listen only miguel and america did the translator ans Dr just business as usual and only care about $$$$. They also schedule a follow up appointment without checking with us first. I wouldn't go back even if they pay me. read more

Marketing photos are fake. Building is old, rooms are so tiny, feels like getting a procedure in a closet. Been to several cleanings, each visit no doctor takes a look at your teeth. The list goes on. Suggest to look elsewhere. read more

Had an appointment. Got there 20 min early. People came in after I did with later appts and they brought them back. While I sat there for 45 minutes being completely ignored. Not only did they fix my sisters meth mouth in 3 months or less- they had an amazingly successful visit with my six-year-old grandson, who is terrified of the dentist as he had his 2 front teeth pulled at two years old from bottle rot. The staff here is amazing and RESPECTFUL of my request to avoid fluoride. And my grandson decided he wanted to pass his own teeth at the end and she taught him and helped him. At his other than us, it is always confrontational as they do not like my daughter-in-law's decision not to use fluoride. That confrontational beginning has always made all of his dentist appointments terrifying. I convinced her to bring him here and she is so happy she did! read more

To all of you seeking professional dental service, please be advised to avoid Gentle Dental in Indio. They are not gentle or professional. My daughter, a special needs adult was seen by Dr. Yvette Janku and was treated like a second class citizen because she has Down Syndrome. She refused to treat my daughter because according to her these individuals are too difficult to work with. She recommended sedation dentistry at Loma Linda to a patient with heart conditions. When we sought treatment at Loma Linda Hospital like she recommended because for some reason she thought jasmine could not receive regular dental procedures because she is a Down Syndrome adult. BS. When we went back to explain that Loma Linda was not taking new clients, she simply refused to see her. We spoke with the office manager to ask for help and am still awaiting a response. Every doctor has the right to not see certain patients for many reasons but to simply turn a patient away because they are disabled I believe is against the law. I advice Gentle Dental to consider who is under their employment and how those employees can cause irreparable damage to their business. I will be contacting the dental board about the discrimination my adult daughter received by doctor Marquez at Gentle Dental. Then we will proceed from there. Martha the dental assistant definitely is not gentle, try to avoid her, Dr Pham is a competent doctor but doesn't fulfill her responsibilities, there's a reason she has bounced around from practice to practice. Dr Pham seems to overcharge and under deliver, very disappointed if I could give zero Stars I would, unprofessionalism and crowded , no bueno. It might not be her fault for overcharging her patients it could be Matt he's in charge of that department . read more

I was terrified after years of neglect with my teeth, this place went above and beyond and explained in detail exactly what was going to happen, they listen to my concerns and i am just blown away. the dentist she was absolutely the best ever. the assistant was so great and cared about my fears and I really appreciate that so much. this place does have the ability to arrange sedation. I finally feel confident that this place will listen to me and what i have to say and the dentist knows what she is doing and their couldnt have been a better place for me to have gone. Superb, Excellent. I was there towards the end of the day and they were not in a rush and very thorough. one of the test that they were wanting to do i told her that i dont want that today and it was absolutely no problem . I was a new patient. Staff was cordial. My Exam as a new patient was fine. Dentist explained results. I agreed to have a couple of things done. Declined other recommendations. Made appointment for a cleaning. That's when it went downhill. They called to cancel my cleaning. Receptionist would call me to reschedule (their equipment was down). 3 weeks later I went into the office after not hearing from them. Gave me an appointment for the following month. I said no to this appointment. I would go elsewhere. Receptionist said but you already paid for it. Plus I had also paid for the work on my two front teeth. According to dentist I had cavities on my two front teeth. My two front teeth are fine! Nothing wrong. I reported then to my credit card company which launched an investigation. This happened months ago and I just got a credit from the dental company. Needless to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND GENTAL DENTAL. read more

These guys are very unprofessional. The X-ray tech was very proficient and personable. And that was it. I sat in an exam chair for over an hour. The office manager popped in after 30minutes and explained they were "a little behind" and would be with me in a few minutes. 20 minutes later I asked and was told they were running behind and it'd be " a few more minutes" After a total of 65 minutes, I just walked out. Two hours later the office manager called to offer an "apology." But we tried to remake history by falsely claiming he popped in "a couple of times" and that others informed me of the delay. This was not true. So the apology did not serve his company well. I understand delays, especially during this pandemic. It's the COMPLETE lack of communication beforehand, during or after that I found frustrating. I'll never go back. read more

Very upset. My husband went here a month ago and got temporary crowns put on. Before he left, he spoke to the receptionist and was given an appointment for today, Sat April 2nd at 11am to get the work finished. He was given a business card with the appointment written on it. We also received an automated confirmation text from them 2 days ago, stating the appointment as Sat Apr 2nd 11 am. We live almost a 2hr drive away and when he arrived, he found the office closed! I called the head office and they said his appointment is actually on Sat Apr 30th 8am. We never did and never would agree to an appt on that day/time! They could not give an explanation as to why this screw up happened. Given that we live so far away, and gas being so expensive, this screw up by them is entirety unacceptable! I've filed a formal complaint and am demanding a significant discount on his dental bill. read more

I called to make an appointment for my child and spoke to a Maritza. Not sure on the spelling or correct name due to nobody wanting to provide me her name. Well she was very rude and unprofessional. Not helpful. Very condescending. She was laughing when I became upset due to the poor treatment. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that there was no supervisor available. I ended speaking to Erica who was very helpful and was able to take care of my appointment. Maritza should learn from Erica and treat patients with a little more compassion. read more

I thought I was only going in for x-rays and cleaning. I was told I needed pockets filled, and now have a 1000 bill. That is alright, but the "money man" was a lot more gentle than the dentist was. It was a fairly uncomfortable visit, both times. The dentist was from an Eastern European Block country, and I think their training must be much different. She was very heavy handed, pushing down on my jaw and gums, and I was sprayed twice in the face so that I was pretty soaking wet during the visit. She didn't warn about shots, and just stuck that needle in. Very different than any experience I have ever had at a dentist. I won't be going back. The staff was very nice though. read more

The front office are kind and courteous, the dental assistant is fabulous, the doctor is super nice, and the hygienist was very professional and skilled.
