They requested that I email the updated insurance information which I did. The following morning my daughters showed up for their scheduled appointment and were told their appointment had been cancelled because Blu Oasis didn't have their insurance information. The staff member told my daughters that a voicemail message had been left advising of this. This was a complete lie. No voicemail message had been left and Blu Oasis had received the insurance information via email. I called to ask why they cancelled the appointment and they couldn't bother to answer the phone or return my voicemail message. I scheduled with another dental practice in La Quinta and would suggest you do the same. Blu Oasis is rude, unprofessional, doesn't tell the truth and has no consideration for their patients' time. All they had to do was ask my daughters for their insurance cards when they arrived but they turned them away and lied about notifying about the appointment cancellation. Stay clear of this place!! What I don't understand is when I'm there, the receptionists take the calls so I don't understand why they don't take mine, and I call during business hours or leave a voicemail if I know they're out of office. I'm only finishing my regiment and then I'm not coming back. I'd rather not struggle so much when trying to make an appointment, especially since the drive is so far from where I live. Due to that, I switched to a different dentist. As soon as I arrived for my new appointment, I remembered my previous issues. I waited patiently, but once again had to wait 1 hour and 49 minutes before seeing the doctor. After taking X-rays, Dr. Cuestas told me that my teeth were in great condition. However, unlike most dental clinics, they only offered polishing without any scaling on the same day. Dr. Cuestas said she would submit a request for deep cleaning. I asked if a regular cleaning would be possible instead, since deep cleaning didn't seem necessary for my condition. She replied that even for regular scaling, they had to get approval from Medi-Cal -- which I later confirmed by calling Medi-Cal directly was not true. About a month later, I received a call from Valerie at the office. She started off politely, but the conversation quickly became confusing. She contradicted previous information, didn't answer my questions directly, and ultimately said I could now receive a regular cleaning without a deep cleaning. When I asked for clarification on when this policy had changed, she avoided the question, so I requested to speak to someone else. Dr. Cuestas came on the line and did apologize for the long wait and the confusion. She said she would now proceed with the regular cleaning if I still wanted it, and then added that if I was unhappy with their service, she wishes me the best -- essentially encouraging me to go elsewhere. I find this office disorganized, with very long wait times and inconsistent communication. I also feel they were unnecessarily pushing for a deep cleaning, which could be motivated by higher insurance reimbursement. For reference, my husband suffered tooth damage from a deep cleaning at this office in 2022. I also found Dr. Cuestas to have a rough and uncomfortable technique during cleaning. I would not recommend this office, especially if you value transparency, gentle care, and reasonable wait times.

She said I need an extensive cleaning and do not qualify for the basic cleaning my insurance covers. Finance lady came in asking for a large amount of money in order to move forward. I got up and left without services. The following day I paid out of pocket for my previous dentist who no longer took my insurance, and he confirmed I do not have gum disease or 2 cavities. This placed straight up scammed me. Shortly after this happened I was in contact with my insurance stating Carol Cabanas submitted thousands of dollars of claims. Insurance was notified of their discrepancies. I do NOT recommend this facility. This is one of the reasons why people avoid going to medical/dental appointments. Scams everywhere guys watch out.
