I originally visited this office back in 2022 and had a negative experience at that time, including waiting over two hours despite having an appointment and receiving an uncomfortably rough regular cleaning from Dr. Cuestas. Due to that, I switched to a different dentist. Unfortunately, that provider is no longer available and the new office does not accept my insurance, so I reluctantly returned here due to the convenient location. As soon as I arrived for my new appointment, I remembered my previous issues. I waited patiently, but once again had to wait 1 hour and 49 minutes before seeing the doctor. After taking X-rays, Dr. Cuestas told me that my teeth were in great condition. However, unlike most dental clinics, they only offered polishing without any scaling on the same day. Dr. Cuestas said she would submit a request for deep cleaning. I asked if a regular cleaning would be possible instead, since deep cleaning didn't seem necessary for my condition. She replied that even for regular scaling, they had to get approval from Medi-Cal -- which I later confirmed by calling Medi-Cal directly was not true. About a month later, I received a call from Valerie at the office. She started off politely, but the conversation quickly became confusing. She contradicted previous information, didn't answer my questions directly, and ultimately said I could now receive a regular cleaning without a deep cleaning. When I asked for clarification on when this policy had changed, she avoided the question, so I requested to speak to someone else. Dr. Cuestas came on the line and did apologize for the long wait and the confusion. She said she would now proceed with the regular cleaning if I still wanted it, and then added that if I was unhappy with their service, she wishes me the best -- essentially encouraging me to go elsewhere. I find this office disorganized, with very long wait times and inconsistent communication. I also feel they were unnecessarily pushing for a deep cleaning, which could be motivated by higher insurance reimbursement. For reference, my husband suffered tooth damage from a deep cleaning at this office in 2022. I also found Dr. Cuestas to have a rough and uncomfortable technique during cleaning. I would not recommend this office, especially if you value transparency, gentle care, and reasonable wait times. read more

That is the 2nd worst dentist I've ever been to. First she accused me of not flossing, in a stearn voice, like she was scolding me. I had a dentist back in 05 put an excessive wmount of posts in where he pulled 2 teeth and the dentist at LC, right away, upon seeing them, accused me of not going back to get work completed. When I explained there was no more work to be done and that dentist had ruined my mouth, she snapped at me stating she refuses to be held liable for the posts and aI can't sue her for them. Huh??? Then she 0ut 8n a request for a deep cleaning that my insurance denied. She also said my teeth were fine. I went to a different dentist the next weeek and was told that one, the only reason deep cleanings are needed is when the gums are receded and mine weren't. I also had a bad filling that needed replacing and 3 molars that need root canals ( this 5he reason for all the pain). In fact ine molar was cracked severely. DON'T GO TO LCDental!!! read more

From the minute, I walked in Valerie at the receptionist desk was wonderful just like when I spoke to her on the phone I felt like she actually cared about what was going on when I got there they were all so nice that I didn't even know I was at a dentist office The dentist when they came in was so courteous and so caring about what to do that. I thought I was in the wrong place. My last dentist was not as caring. Let's put it that way. The Dentist herself Dr. Cuestas was unbelievable. I felt like she cared more about my teeth than I did When I said to her I can't believe how much you really cared. She's like she was so nice. I felt like I didn't know what to do. She looked at the x-rays and shook her head as she decided what to do. Never once stopping to think about what I couldn't do she kept telling me what she could do. I left there today probably having the best dental experience I've had in a very long time and I would recommend this Dentist to anybody thank you LC dental Studios you guys saved dentistry for me read more

I absolutely love my new dentist, LC Dental Studio. I've been to a few dentists in the area and none compare to this doctor. They take my insurance and have reasonable out of pocket costs. Dr. Luz operates from a high standard of care combining traditional medical standards with a holistic approach, which I really appreciate. I've had dental issues for 20 years and not one dentist has resolved anything for me. All of a sudden, just one visit to LC Dental Studio...boom all of my issues are diagnosed with an actual treatment plan. So far I've had root canals, fillings, and cosmetic work done which they did the absolute best job. The cosmetic work is the best I've ever seen. On top of that, the staff is full of the nicest women you will ever meet. I kid you not, it's like going to a family gathering with all of your favorite aunts and cousins. Finally, a high-end dentist who cares and does what is best for the patient's health. read more

My dad is 93 years old and was having trouble with his dentures. I called about 15 places nobody would take him in. I finally called LC Dental Studio and they gave me an appointment within that same week. The staff was beyond friendly to my dad. They were accommodating. He is hard of hearing and they were so patient with him. They helped with his current dentures and will be taking care of new ones. I have to say that they made my heart so happy-seeing how they treated my dad! The staff here is beyond amazing! I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. read more

Do NOT go here. They are scamming people. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. They didn't know what they were talking about and it ended up costing way too much money for just a cleaning when I have good dental insurance. read more

Amazing, Caring and Affordable dental care. I found LC Dental after a bad experience with my prior dentist and Dr. Cuertas is very compassionate and considerate assuring the best care possible. I came in after needing a crown for years and she achieved nothing short of a miracle. My crown fit perfectly, is the perfect color and really is a lot better than the tooth I had originally. Thank you so much Dr. Cuertas. You and your team are awesome. read more

i would go somewhere else. worst dental experience. unprofessional and ghetto. had to go to another dentist to have my partials remade because they weren't measured correctly and did not fit. telling me over and over that I just need to leave them in and my mouth would adjust. new dentist was shocked. read more

This place is an absolute joke. I would highly recommend never going to this place. Most terrible experience I've ever had. The doctor doesn't even speak English. She's all over the place. So unorganized and feels like you're not in good hands what so ever. She didn't even finish her job correctly with me. Also while taking x-rays , they had to do it 5 times because they couldn't get it right. She blamed it on her system and said it was erasing the x-rays. Even asking for water they gave me water out of the bathroom tap. It's disgusting and absolute joke. Never go to this place, and if you do please share your experience here. This place needs to be reported. read more

The female dentist there told me I had 14 cavities, all of them in the back of my mouth, which was quite surprising because I've never had any cavities. After I had 4 fillings they scheduled me for more procedures. I wanted to go get another opinion because I figured if I had 14 cavities, then my mouth would've probably been very sore. So I went to a different dentist to get checked and it turns out I have zero. I was pissed. They were using me as apart of their scam just to get money for procedures and I fell for part of it and got 4 fillings. I'm glad I didn't go back and get more. I reported this office to the board. read more

I recently went to LC Dental Studio after finding them through my dental insurance company. Dr. Cuestas told me I had some small cavities that needed to be filled. When I went back, she allegedly filled three cavities, while hurting me in the process. I'm still sore five days later. When I left, they told me I had six more cavities to be filled. I immediately knew I'd been scammed because I haven't had a cavity in years. I went for a second opinion and was told I have no cavities. read more

I switched to this office because of a dental emergency that my prior dentist could not help with, and I am sure glad it happened because I really do like this place. Dr. Cuestas and her staff have always greeted me with kindness and have deliberately made sure to make me feel welcome. I incredibly trust coming here because of my experience: after an impact that left me with a cracked tooth, it became apparent that I needed a root canal. However, the incident and sudden appointment were on the day of an important flight, so I waited until I'd be back in town. Several months later (and another dental exam determining I needed a root canal from a second opinion), the pain subsided, but I came in for a root canal anyhow. Dr. Cuestas, upon examining my tooth again, saw the beginning of healthy remineralization (I saw the X-rays to prove it), and told me that she could not in good faith do the procedure since the tooth was filling in its crack. I feel totally safe and taken care of at this office. (PS, the front staff are nice here, a rarity at most medical/dental offices. This place is absolutely worth trying). read more

I have been to LC Dental 3 times. The first time I was seen by Dr. Cuestas and she took care of me with exam, xrays, cleaning, and she was very nice. Staff was great also. Then she asked me how i liked it, and when I said it was great she asked me to post an online review so I did, praising her work a and giving it 5 stars. But the next time I came in to have a couple cavities filled, and Dr. Cuestas was abrupt and rude. Her english speaking difficult, she acted impatient when i could not understand what she was saying. She also could not understand what i was asking her to look at on one of my teeth and brushed me off with apparent irritation. Luckily the staff was far more patient and also could speak english more fluently so they listened and said they would relay my concern to her. But the following visit her demeanor was even worse. The cavities she had filled were very uneven and changed my entire bite so I could not chew my food without clashing painfully, but when I tried to ask her to adjust them, she actually acted offended and told me it was not her fault, rather it was mine for saying there was anything wrong when there wasn't! It was bizarre, intimidating and left me with quite a bad feeling.I believe a dentist should have the decency to listen to their patients' concerns, and to acknowledge those concerns with professionalism. Since then I have switched to a different dentist's office, one that's everything i could hope for-- with an amazingly competent, caring, professional dentist-- and I am SO glad I did! read more

I went for the first time to LC Dental today, and was very impressed. The office was spacious and super clean. The staff were all so courteous and kind and helpful. They were all very attentive too, and so was the dentist, Dr. Cuestas. This will be the dentist i choose to go to for my future work. The dentist examined me and i had xrays and a cleaning. She was thorough i and i felt well taken care of and like i was in good hands. Overall a great experience! read more

Dr. Cuestas and her team are amazing. I had a lot of work done here(10+cavities/root canal referal/deepcleaning) and they all made me feel like a friend of the family from the beginning. Everyone in this practice takes a lot of pride in their work, and it shows. It was super easy to make an appointment with them as they do a good job of informing you of up coming appts via text/call. This did not feel like your typical dentist appointment, I started to look forward to them! read more

Horrible place to go to unless you need basic general dentistry done. Dr. Cuestas is NOT qualified or experienced enough to do extractions, bone grafts etc... I was sent home with NO prescription or infection fighting pills. I had to call 3 days later to get a script filled because they packed & stitched my bone graft wrong. They missed cavities on my teeth, insurance would NOT go back & cover the $ on that tooth, so I had to pay out of pocket because of their mistakes. I ended up going to a specialist and spending 6k out of pocket to correct her mistakes. After simple fillings I was even in pain after visiting her office! She was rude asking if I did drugs, and NO I did not! Twice I went in and waited 45 minutes to be told there was no staff?!? Many dental hygienists had quit on her so there was 1 gentleman working there, yet my insurance still got billed for those visits. I went back many times in pain and they would make things worse each time. I ended up with a pocket of air in my tooth because she did the deep filling incorrectly. I ended up getting this fixed at a reputable dentist after it crumbled. A tooth extraction took over two hours, I was in severe pain crying and almost passing out, she told me I'd had enough novocaine shots & they couldn't give me more. She continued on and when I asked for any sort of pain help and she ignored me. Emergency services was almost called to her site, it was THAT BAD...I got a raging infection since no prescription was supplied and ended up at the ER, did a follow up with her 3 days later, and she manually took the dissolving stitches out, applied tons of rough pressure to the extraction site, and I almost threw up, the pain was horrible. She was condescending and rushing me because it was the day before the holiday and they all wanted to leave the office early. No care plan was EVER given, I never knew what was going to be done at each visit, only Spanish was spoken the ENTIRE TIME, until I mentioned I knew Spanish somewhat , then they magically only spoke English around me. There are so many terrible things that happened here that I cannot write about them all. Please DO NOT use her unless you have to and your dental plan does not accept anyone else. You WILL be sorry. read more
