Honestly, the actual dentist is great never a bad experience from her. however, the breaking point is the receptionists. they are have bad attitudes and don't really understand what they are doing its not helping that they schedule fillings months away only to cancel because "the doctor never comes in on that day" and it not only that. their ability to submit paper on time and correctly to your insurance is not good. they will submit the incorrect information then tell you its the insurances fault and leave you waiting for upwards of 6 months. the dental trained staff is AMAZING however good luck getting an appointment to go through paid for by your insurance. read more

Every time we are here, we wait 1-3 hours JUST to be taken back. We have an appt for 10 and aren't seen until 1230? They dont give time updates and when we ask how much longer, they're annoyed with us. That's extremely unprofessional. The office is clean, no bad smell, decorations are beautiful. Lady upfront thats short-I asked how much longer because it's been an hour and a half since our appt time and she took a drink of her soda and said "mhm" like, "yes, and?" Ummm yes and do your job and find out how much longer please. Thanks. My mom had extractions scheduled at 2pm, wasnt seen until 5pm. She was supposed to have general anesthesia, but the surgeon said "No, we can't do that today. I need to be out of here in 30min." The surgeon administered the local anesthetic very aggressively. When they were done, we asked for ice, but they didn't even have ice for her to put on her face afterwards. I do not appreciate that the doctor speaks condescendingly to his staff. There is no need to make the environment hostile. read more

They refused to provide the minimal service that I asked for but were more than happy to offer implants. $$$. I found another local dentist that understood what I wanted and could afford. I had to pay in full because Gentle Dental used up all of my Medicare benefits for nothing. read more

Went in for root canal consultation. I knew going in that a root canal was going to cost me $0 because thankfully I have some pretty stellar insurance. They wanted to charge me $350 which I said was incorrect. My insurance finally cleared it up after 40 minutes of waiting in the chair that I didn't owe anything. Finally the doctor comes in (an hour and a half after I'm sat down in a chair) and says she can't do my root canal here since they would need a microscope and they don't have that equipment. So ultimately instead of the doctor looking at my X-rays 30 minutes into me sitting down and telling me that they're unable to help me, i sat for an hour and a half only to be told that i took time off work to be turned away. @ Brenda, you were very nice about everything and i really do appreciate that. i didnt get the front desk womans name but she was also very sweet. read more

If I could give this office a 0 I would. I never complain but what they did to my husband was so unprofessional. Not only did they give him a appointment months later but when the day of his appointment came he left early from works drove up the hill from Ontario to ensure he didn't get there late, all this to have them tell him he would have to wait an hour! due to the doctor going to lunch. After a rocky road, getting started for my Dental treatments and insurance,, I went today, and Maria was very friendly and walked us through the process of the Dental procedure and expense. No complaints with the dentists there, but the front office is pretty much incompetent, lots of Billing errors, paid for Dental work at time of service, they billed me every month for 7 months after I sent them a copy of my receipt that I had already paid. Long wait times on the phone to try to resolve them. Usually you get a treatment plan after exrays at any Dental office you would go to, When I requested it they asked me if I would wait for it. Okay no problem. After 20 minutes I asked how much longer will it be? Office manager say she didn't know because they were real busy today. I swear to you there was not one other person in the place at this time. Since she didn't know how much longer it was going to be I decided not to wait any longer and asked her if she could email it to me when she was done. She said fine I will email it to you just give me a couple of hours. That was Friday morning. By Friday night I hadn't received anything. I knew they were closed on weekends. So I'll check on Monday, nothing, Tues, nothing, Wed? I better call them again, after some time on hold I talked to the office Mgr again and she said she had sent it yesterday, but under some other name. Indent, I looked again and found the email and when I opened it there was nothing there. So I call back and they put me on hold for 12 minutes and I finally hung up. I'm going to have to drive down there now to try and straighten this out again for a third time. read more

I work in healthcare so I understand how offices work. Unfortunately this was the closest dentist that my insurance took that was the closest to me so I took that risk of coming here. I had 4 wisdom teeth removed and was extremely nervous. I have had problems with the front girls because they lost my paperwork and didn't really try to to make an effort to help me when it came to transferring my paperwork, even thought I had it in my hand they didn't want to take it and had me drive back and fourth 4 times to one dentist to another. It's called a fax machine gentle dental. Anyways I got my wisdom teeth removed and they don't wait for you to wake up after anesthetic I didn't remember anything until I actually got to my bedroom. Secondly I work in a pharmacy and I put my store address on the paper and two hours passed and I haven't received not one thing. So my sister calls to verify the address and instead of the front worker telling her she said "it's the address you gave us" not once not twice but three times and gets an attitude because my sister just wanted to verify. Thirdly I had to call them AGAIN because they did not send a mouth wash and they tell me they did? And I ask them when did they send it because I don't see it sent and she gets another attitude with me? I don't see how it's my fault when you guys are the one who are not providing the correct customer service as well as sending prescriptions that are NEEDED. I will never come here again because the fact I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled, spent 1,000 dollars, and had to deal with two rude front receptionists as well as going out my way to make sure I get my medications is ridiculous. If you can't do your job correctly maybe that is not the right field you should stay in. read more

I used to love this office until they started trying to nickel and dime me every time we come for cleanings. It's always oh you need fluoride and some bacteria flush that comes out to $100 that the insurance doesn't cover. Trying to charge me for my minor when the fluoride is covered by insurance. The last straw was when my kid needed braces they wanted to charge over $800 more than other places. I got multiple estimates from different offices and the treatment was the exact same at all of them. When I asked gentle dental why they were so much more they honestly didn't care that I could get it cheaper. We ended up getting the ortho at another office even though we had been going there for over 10 years. We finally decided to switch dentists and are very happy with our decision. New dentist just cleans our teeth and doesn't even try to up sell us on crap we don't need. read more

to get lower dentures and possibly a new upper denture: waited an incredible amount of time, the Dentist barely spoke under standable English, she was very rude and obnoxious as she informed my friend that they could not and would not help him get lower dentures as there wasn't enough bone for the lower plate to hang onto. She offered no suggestions on what could be done, zero. My friend has Delta Dental, however all she offered him was to send out his upper denture for re-alignment ( which he can do himself with an over the counter relign kit). The office staff seemed very nice, however that dentist has no class, no empathy for others and could give a damn about the lack of a lower denture for my friend. Needless to say, we left that office and will never return. read more

I made an appointment here simply because it was closest to my work. Unfortunately my insurance changed and the dentist I have gone to for years isn't in my network. The choices my new insurance gave me are all chain locations which I find to not be great and they always seem to try to up sell you on something, but I didn't have much choice so I went with what was close. I called for my appointment on March 26 and I had to wait until May 23. It seemed like a long wait, but I am a new, so I excused it. I asked just for a 6 month check up and cleaning, they asked if I wanted to see the orthodontist, I said no. I received an email confirming my appt and again was reminded I could see an orthodontist. I received a reminder text soon after asking if I wanted to see an orthodontist, I replied no. I filled out the necessary paperwork on line, was asked if I was interested in an orthodontist check up, I replied no. I received about two -three other texts and emails between when I made the appt and May 19 all reminding me of my appt. I received a text on May 16th asking me to send yes to confirm. I received an email on May 19 asking the same. I received a call around 3pm on May 19 and it was the office telling me that my appt had to be rescheduled because the dentist doesn't work on Fridays. WHAT?! I had been waiting almost 2 months and they call 4 days before to say the dentist doesn't do appts that day? I asked why was I scheduled that day and the woman said it was because I must have called the call center. When I said why have I been receiving confirmation texts and emails and just now I am being told there is no appt? She replied with I can reschedule you in JULY!!!! Nope! I won't be going there. If they are this incompetent with scheduling, I don't trust them to even look in my mouth! Complete lack of professionalism. She didn't even apologize, she just made excuses. read more

As always, I was greeted politely and professionally and asked to fill out a couple of quick update forms and the obligatory consent stuff... I don't think I waited more than 2 minutes before I was cheerily invited back. I was treated very kindly and professionally by my hygienist and finished in great time. I was supposed to get an exam in the same visit today but unfortunately, the dentist hadn't been able to get her lunch break by that time (2:30??) and I was asked to reschedule. I understand scheduling can be difficult with a lot of patients throughout the day and most certainly she deserves her lunch hour but, not my fault right? I drive clear across town to go here and now I have to do it again. Not the biggest problem in my day but aggravating nonetheless. The female orthodontist was the absolute sweetest! I got Invisalign with her in mid 2021 and finished at the end of 2022. She was always so sweet and seemed to genuinely care. Other than that, the girls at the front desk are always so rude and their appointment system sucks! They cancelled/tried to reschedule my cleaning three times before I just said forget it. Also, the ortho is only there one day a week on Thursdays which is a bummer when you need to have check ups often and the ortho is out or on vacation, etc. Plus with the amount of people that need to see the ortho, it was a bit of a struggle to get an appointment. I should have been finished with my Invisalign in June and I didn't get them off until the end of December because my check up appointments where I would get my next set of aligners continuously got pushed back throughout my time. I recently went in for my retainer check up and the female orthodontist does not work there any longer. They now have a male orthodontist who was definitely not as friendly. He had an attitude as if my appointment was an inconvenience. He barely looked at me when he spoke and quickly stuck his finger in my mouth and said it looked good and to come back in 6 months for the next one. I am so glad that I am finished with my ortho work because I definitely would not have wanted to have him doing my check ups every few weeks. read more

This place is a joke. Quoted me $620 for a single molar extraction. Said the only anesthesia they do is intravenous sedation. When I questioned the oral surgeon about that and explained that I'd had an extraction done previously right next to the one due to me removed and had a local, he was super vague and evasive with the explanation. "Well we don't know if there's fragments there or this and that blah blah blah" When I explained the situation to other dental offices and called my insurance, they all said that was odd and recommended calling around. Extremely unethical practices being done here. Do not recommend. If they quote you some astronomical amount, go elsewhere. read more

If I can give this place one star I would.. I needed a dentist ASAP for 2 root canals cause the pain was unbearable. I told the doctor I have a cavity closer to my front teeth and the assistants and "DOCTOR" said it's stained? How if you don't know or feel the patients pain..? I knew it was a cavity, I thought I was wrong because I'm not a "DOCTOR" or can read the x-rays right..assistants and "DOCTOR" said the root canal is traveling to the other teeth causing my front teeth to have pain. The following appointment I had come to find out they told me I have a cavity and it wasn't stained. I told the "DOCTOR" you and your colleagues are giving me wrong information because I told you it was a cavity.. why would a stain cause me pain..?????My appointment was at 4:30pm they didn't start on me till 5pm mind you they close at 6pm I know how it is In a clinic working with a doctor they are just trying to go home and rush with the work you have. The "DOCTOR" injected me to get numb and she poked my lip drawing blood I told her "you poked my lip" told me with attitude "No I didn't!.." I told her " yes you did why is there blood on my lip?" She knew she was wrong and wiped the remaining blood off my lip. Drilling my teeth rushing through the work, the next appointment she was drilling my teeth and got my lip which turned out to be a sore in my mouth...??? I'm sorry but Dr. Platon does not know what she's doing.. very rough and only doctor there so be prepared to sit on the chair for about 30 mins to an hour till she gets to you. They rescheduled my sons appointment 3x. Very unprofessional. My son really needed to be seen by a specialist and it took them over a month to even get me an appointment just for them to cancel it and reschedule 2 more times and then cancel those as well. This is ridiculous. Maybe get a calendar and be more organized. read more

Completely unprofessional. Cancels appointments with very little notice, however, if you want to cancel and don't give a notice they want to charge you a cancellation fee. Make no mistake, they can cancel whenever they want but they don't offer a credit to you. They also like to charge up front for work they haven't done yet, so that when they do cancel on you, you're stuck and just have to get the work done whenever they feel like honoring your appointment. What a complete and total joke!!! Wish I would have read the reviews before I came here. Now I know why they only have 2.5 stars. Should be ZERO!!! read more

There are so many kind and knowledgeable individuals on staff that treat their patients with the utmost respect and professionalism. Aimee is the best and most gentle RDH I have ever met. She educates me on all my Dental matters in a easy to understand kind of way. She informs me of my Dental options to maintain my teeth (which she so thoroughly cleaned) with products offered by the office. Thanks to her I am well educated care options from Perio Protect to Oral-B toothbrush products. Thank you Aimee for taking the time to explain and answer all my questions so well. Dr. Platon leaves no stone unturned with her Dental checkups and I greatly appreciate her for being thorough and professional. Her work is flawless and her chair side manner is extremely welcoming. I feel like my oral care is in great hands with her. Thanks Dr. Platon Ally is hands down the most thorough DA I have been around. i waited months to get in with these guys and i live 2 hours down the hill. i show up to my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT and the office is closed?? no call, no email, NOTHING to reschedule with me before i made the trip when they had PLENTY of time to do so??? and after i told them my dental situation and how i needed to be seen asap? they canceled my last appointment months ago 3 days before i had to go in and now im sitting outside an office that says its open online and even scheduled people for a day they apparently aren't even open. absolutely beyond livid right now. everything on their pages says open so why did i have to drive up to find out that's not the truth. i chose this place because i thought they were better than the dentists everywhere else. i guess i was wrong. EDIT in response to the response left on my review: I was not sent a single call text or email since the scheduling of my appointment so the claim that you call text email is in fact not true. I called myself to follow up after not hearing anything for a good long while and was told my appointment was still confirmed meaning you guys had multiple times to tell me while i was on the phone with you that your office was in fact gonna be closed the day YOU scheduled me. And as per my original view, i showed up on my SCHEDULED appointment date to an apparently closed office with NO warning. NO call NO text NO email. I couldn't even get a call back after leaving a voicemail that day trying to figure out why no one called to tell me the office was going to be closed. Why they bothered to schedule people on a day they knew they would be closed is beyond me but i have a feeling that's why it takes months to be seen because they have to make up for all the appointments they messed up. I was very sad and disappointed at the lack of sympathy and understanding that doctor Ana Platon showed when I visited the office two days ago. I broke a tooth while I was overseas and went to see the dentist there. Since I was only there for one week I didn't have a chance to go back and I needed an adjustment when I went to see my dentist her assistant told me that she couldn't a see me because I didn't have the work done there that I needed to go back where I had it. I told them that I was five thousand miles away and I couldn't go back just to have an adjustment; to please check it....they adamantly and rudely say no! I usually get here at 12:00pm for my appointments and I don't get seen until 12:35-12:45 (which I'm always a sport about while waiting in the lobby, you'll never hear me complain about it) today I got there at 12:20 for my 12pm appointment and they said they couldn't see me because is was late and they rescheduled me for next week. I wish they held themselves accountable about seen us on time as they do about us showing up on time even when they know we're going to sit in the lobby for 30-40 mins past our scheduled appointment time...they could've easily been accommodating. read more
