I purchased a Huawei laptop a few years ago for work/school reasons. A few months ago, my daughter…read moreused a wet wipe to clean the keyboard and the laptop stopped working due to the keyboard reacting with the moisture. I tried flipping the keyboard upside down and using a blow dryer to dry out the remaining moisture but to no avail. At this point, I honestly knew that this would not be an easy fix because the parts for Huawei (Chinese owned) are hard to attained ( Trump blocked it), and I order to get to the keyboard, one would need to go through the CPU and mess with the tiny components/screws. Thankfully, Max was diligent and was able to not only figure out the setup for the laptop, but he also maneuvered in under the CPU to remove the old keyboard. Thanks for the great knowledge base and effort Max!!

I couldn't believe it took going to 4 different locations to finally find someone who could fix my…read morecomputer. Rick did a great job fixing it as fast as he could (obviously can't do much about shipping times). I will say that I had gotten the computer back and then had it break again within a matter of days, and Rick was great about re-replacing the broken part where a lot of other places might have easily just said "too bad." So I have to give him 5 stars purely on his character alone. Will return to again in the future if I have any other issues on any other Mac computers.

When I called to inquire about pricing for an SD card that had been corrupted I was told $150-200…read morefor an easy fix and upwards of $2000 for a deconstruction/more intense recovery. I stated that the photos were of a wedding and it was very important that they be recovered. The estimate I was given was $600 and I truly believe it was because they knew how important the photos were as other reviews have mentioned. I was able to talk them down to $350 and had no choice but to pay it, knowing it would be a simple recovery and that I was being charged twice as much as the original price I was told it would be if it was on the easier side of things. When I got the photos back the image quality had been affected and the file type had changed from RAW to JPG. As a photographer that needs RAW images to effectively edit the photos I brought the issue to their attention and they said that's all they could do. So not only did I over pay but they never mentioned I wouldn't be getting back the actual files that I lost in their true form. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and will not be giving them my business in the future.

The salesperson, Mark, told me that "all" my data was recovered from a flash drive I sent. Then…read morewhen I called again, he said: "most" or my data was recovered. When I finally got the chintzy plastic external hard drive with my recovered data on it, I found that SOME of my data was recovered. They charge $100 for the drive (you can get much better small, external drives in a metal protective case from Newegg.com (of the same size) for less than $60). Mark told me it was a 2GB drive. It is a 1GB drive. Mark is the reason for the low score. I asked for my flash drive back. It's been 12 days/2 weeks since I asked for it. No word at all from the company despite Mark's promise of a couple days. (I also asked for an estimate before the work was started. Mark said there was no way to do that. He kept saying that it would be at least $400. It sure was "at least $400". My flash drive is 128MB. File Savers charged $900 for this. I feel cheated. I was cheated.
