The first time I went it was fabulous, Amber was great! Made another appointment when I was due for another cut(appointment made 2 weeks in advance). The stylist wasn't there because "she doesn't work on Tuesday". They said they tried to call me the day before but I had no missed call or voice-mail from the salon. No legit explanation as to why I wasn't called in advance, I even verified they had my phone number. I just moved to the area in the last year and was going to use them as my salon but the poor customer service changed that. I'm a Pharmacist so I have a very sporadic schedule so I can't just "come in tomorrow" as the other stylist suggested. Ridiculous read more

I went in to get my hair straightened. Crissanne straightened my hair several years ago and I was happy with the results---straight hair for about four months. It was worth the money. I set up an appointment last Friday to get my hair straightened again. I had a wonderful time visiting with Chrisanne as she worked with my hair. She was very careful about telling me not to get me hair wet or wash it for three days, and when I did to use the special shampoo I purchased at the salon. Four days later I washed my hair with the special shampoo, and my waves came back at my neckline. My hair was smoother, but when it dried I had very fluffy hair! $300 for hair straightening and fluffy hair?? I was surprised and left Chrisanne a message telling her what happened and that I would like to visit with her about it. A few hours later a pleasant message came back from her. "Hello, hope you're doing good! the keratin complex is a smooth system not a straightening so you have movement and wave still. To get optimal results in straightening always blow-dry with a flat brush or round brush, you should notice a decrease eon blow-dry and time and frizz. How was your length? I wouldn't mind taking a look at your hair Saturday morning at 9 if that would make you feel better!' So, I replied, "Oh. I went in to get my hair straightened like the last time, not just smooth. Were the same chemicals used last Friday as when my friend and I last came to your Salon? Because my hair was very straight even after I washed it that last time. I did not have to flat iron my hair at all because it had been straightened , like what I thought I was having done last Friday. Yes, I would like to come by at 9 o'clock on Saturday to have at looked at. l Thank you." Crissanne replied, "Yes ma'am same process and same product, it is a smoothing system this time and the time before. I am sorry you are not happy with it. I will see you Saturday morning." I did not expect anything free or redone, I just wanted to visit with Chrissanne. I replied: "Wow. I really did not expect such a defensive and final decision without even seeing me. I would have like to have a positive relationship with your salon, but if this is how customer QUESTIONS are dealth with, I doubt if that is possible. If this is the only solution, I most certainly will post this situation and the way the salon handled it on my Facebook page." If you want your hair done Rosie is the one to go to. She is awesome!!! She can cut and color and if you want an up do or down do she is the go to!!! Love her!! And I can't forget about Bibi she can thread like no ones business.... She is very good I will continue to go to her unless she moves and I may have to track her down.. read more

I got my haircut here with Amber. She was great. She was quick and knew what she was doing. I got 7inches chopped off and my hair is thick! I loved the quality of the time she spent on my hair was great. For me I am used to paying 20 for a hair cut that comes with shampoo conditioner haircut and style but I paid a did my research bc I was chopping a lot of hair off and I wanted to best. So I am the worst when it comes to changing hair stylist. I called and cancelled before I actually just showed up as a walked in. I was pleasantly surprised and have now found my new stylist for sure. Rosie is the bomb. She basically just did her thing....and her thing was perfect. I wanted to reshape my brows so I let them grow out for as long as I could (& what seemed like forever) and I searched for someone that would do a great job reshaping them. Bibi is AMAZING. I am from out of town so I searched for salons near me and this one popped up so I thought I would try it. I walk in with black hair I wanted to go back to medium brown hair but instead I walked out with the roots of my hair very light brown almost like a rusty color and the ends of my hair jet black still I wish I never came here I mean the people were very nice and all just wish I went to a different salon for what I wanted done. read more

New to the area and was very nervous about trying out a new place. After a long day of searching and reading reviews I decided to give Genious Salon a try! I was very pleased with being able to get in the same day. The young lady who did my hair was very friendly. I had taken a picture in to show her how I wanted my hair done, the hi-lites turned out great but my cut was quite a bit shorter than I wanted. I also tried brow threading, which I can say I was very happy with and will most likely go back for! Overall the experience went well. Although, when it came time to pay I was shocked!! A cut, hi-lites and brow threading cost $160!!?? I know cheap hair isn't good hair...but!!...I just think that's a little too much!! read more
