Rosie has been a stylest for a long time and the initial impression of her was a good one for sure. Towards the end not so much. I had a bad experience a few times and I am extremely disappointed. Will not be coming back. read more

The first time I went it was fabulous, Amber was great! Made another appointment when I was due for another cut(appointment made 2 weeks in advance). The stylist wasn't there because "she doesn't work on Tuesday". They said they tried to call me the day before but I had no missed call or voice-mail from the salon. No legit explanation as to why I wasn't called in advance, I even verified they had my phone number. I just moved to the area in the last year and was going to use them as my salon but the poor customer service changed that. I'm a Pharmacist so I have a very sporadic schedule so I can't just "come in tomorrow" as the other stylist suggested. Ridiculous read more

I went in to get my hair straightened. Crissanne straightened my hair several years ago and I was happy with the results---straight hair for about four months. It was worth the money. I set up an appointment last Friday to get my hair straightened again. I had a wonderful time visiting with Chrisanne as she worked with my hair. She was very careful about telling me not to get me hair wet or wash it for three days, and when I did to use the special shampoo I purchased at the salon. Four days later I washed my hair with the special shampoo, and my waves came back at my neckline. My hair was smoother, but when it dried I had very fluffy hair! $300 for hair straightening and fluffy hair?? I was surprised and left Chrisanne a message telling her what happened and that I would like to visit with her about it. A few hours later a pleasant message came back from her. "Hello, hope you're doing good! the keratin complex is a smooth system not a straightening so you have movement and wave still. To get optimal results in straightening always blow-dry with a flat brush or round brush, you should notice a decrease eon blow-dry and time and frizz. How was your length? I wouldn't mind taking a look at your hair Saturday morning at 9 if that would make you feel better!' So, I replied, "Oh. I went in to get my hair straightened like the last time, not just smooth. Were the same chemicals used last Friday as when my friend and I last came to your Salon? Because my hair was very straight even after I washed it that last time. I did not have to flat iron my hair at all because it had been straightened , like what I thought I was having done last Friday. Yes, I would like to come by at 9 o'clock on Saturday to have at looked at. l Thank you." Crissanne replied, "Yes ma'am same process and same product, it is a smoothing system this time and the time before. I am sorry you are not happy with it. I will see you Saturday morning." "Come in with it dry please!"" I replied, "Okay, thanks! Will do!" Crissanne replied, www.behindthechair.com/displayarticle.aspx?ID=1520 Just wanted to send you some information about the product I used on you both times, always has been a smoothing system. I'm sorry the results varied. i'm curius to see you hair and know why. The thing I can think of is maybe the color penettration for the previous application helped add more conditions to the hair to lay it down more." I replied, "I got lots of compliment son the streak!" Chrissanne: "Good :)" Me, "Hey Chrisanne, I had an eye appintment at 9:15 Saturday. May I come by after that? Probably about ten am?" Chrissanne, "I will check tomorrow and let you know." Me, 'Okay.' Chrissanne: "We could also possibly do Friday night, I will check the books I the morning and let you know our options." Me, "Okay, thank you" Chrissanne: "Could you send me a picture of it so I can see what it looks like? It's driving me crazy because I've never had a complaint on keratin." 2 on Saturday.: Me: "Okay. Sounds good!" Chrissanne: "Hello, so I spoke with my boss and there is really nother I can do for you, I followed the keratin driectiobnns like I always do, I cannot redo it for free not can I offier you a refuld. I hate that you are not 100% satisfied but there is nothing I can for free about the keratin! I did gave you a week grace period on your haircut if it was still too long and I will do that for you saturday if you would like. If the haircut was indeed a fine length then pelase let me know and I will take you off the books." Now, I am annoyed. I really jsut wanted to visit with her for more information. I did not expect anything free or redone, I just wanted to visit with Chrissanne. I replied: "Wow. I really did not expect such a defensive and final decision without even seeing me. I would have like to have a positive relationship with your salon, but if this is how customer QUESTIONS are dealth with, I doubt if that is possible. If this is the only solution, I most certainly will post this situation and the way the salon handled it on my Facebook page." Chrissanne: "I apologize if you took it defensive but yes that is allI can do. I really liked you and I am sorry for any inconvenice this has called and absolute if you feel the need to spread it around that is your choice." Me: "I really like you too. I do choose." Chrissanne: I will cancel you appointment for Saturday." Me: "Yep" Crissanne: "When you berate me on social media, please make sure to say it was the keratin complex..Which is a smoothing system...I'm not trying to be rude bit the litature and explanation of the service I provided I was not able to convince you of the service you purchased. Maybe someone else can and you will then know what I did nothing wrong therefore there is nothing to fix!" Me: "Defensive:" Chrissanne: It's my business of course I care! Defensive not really, I can't make everyone happy." ******* more about read more

I am from out of town so I searched for salons near me and this one popped up so I thought I would try it. I walk in with black hair I wanted to go back to medium brown hair but instead I walked out with the roots of my hair very light brown almost like a rusty color and the ends of my hair jet black still I wish I never came here I mean the people were very nice and all just wish I went to a different salon for what I wanted done. read more

New to the area and was very nervous about trying out a new place. After a long day of searching and reading reviews I decided to give Genious Salon a try! I was very pleased with being able to get in the same day. The young lady who did my hair was very friendly. I had taken a picture in to show her how I wanted my hair done, the hi-lites turned out great but my cut was quite a bit shorter than I wanted. I also tried brow threading, which I can say I was very happy with and will most likely go back for! Overall the experience went well. Although, when it came time to pay I was shocked!! A cut, hi-lites and brow threading cost $160!!?? I know cheap hair isn't good hair...but!!...I just think that's a little too much!! read more
