Preston Ford is #1 in customer service and support! I got a super great deal on my Bronco Sport…read moreand I'm very pleased with it, thanks to my representative who helped me pick out exactly what I wanted. Great experience in every way!

Hello, I bought a…read more2023 Mach E and the buying experience was good-pretty standard. I love the car. I brought it in for its 10K service, which is essentially a tire rotation. I was told the aftermarket wheels needed a "key" to remove the lug nuts. After some time, one of the mechanics was able to find a key that worked and did the rotation. because of the key issue I was at the dealership for over an hour. I was then given a quote for new wheel nuts with a new key, and was told they could only be ordered in sets (key and nuts). I made an appointment, showed up on time, and then waited 1 and 1/2 hours to be told (information was unclear) the parts were never ordered or were ordered but didn't fit. I had just wasted 1 and 1/2 hours. From my perspective Preston should've comped the set. After all, they sold me the car (incomplete at that) and we weren't talking about a lot of money. I was told I'd get a call the same day to resolve the issue. I never heard from them again, and that's after calling and leaving a message, and after filling out their customer service survey and giving them honest feedback (and providing my number and email address). In the end I went to a tire shop here in Easton (Spurry Tire), took the guy five minutes to find a matching spline. Which he then refused to charge me for (that's customer service!) It's a shame that a simple service visit tarnished what had been a favorable opinion of the dealership. FYI, it does follow the car not being detailed when I picked it up after purchase, but that's another story.

I went in for a service bulletin (just a system update, something even I probably could have done,…read morebut I lack the access to the giant Mazda computer) and they told me it would take about half an hour. After reading the previous review, I was sure to mention that this was the only thing I needed done, but things seem to have gone smoothly and I was back on the road within an hour. Wasn't bad, wasn't exceptional, but hey, now my headlights don't flicker.

Thank you Update: 9/3/25 - More than six months after I purchased the car, I STILL do not have my permanent tag. I've never ever had this sort of horrible customer experience with any other dealership. If I could give Preston Mazda zero stars, I gladly will. I've contacted the dealership several times over phone and email, only to be first told that they are having paperwork issues at their end and then 'waiting for a document from Mazda to get it finalized'. And this has been going on forever. I spoke to Selbe Hubbard (the person's name mentioned in the response below) several times and still no resolution. To say I am incredibly frustrated with this awful customer service is an understatement. I was informed by my DMV that they will only renew the temporary tags twice which I already did. I will not be able to drive the car once my current set of temp tags expire soon if I still do not get the permanent plate. If you are considering buying from Preston Mazda (or any other Preston dealership), I would urge you to learn from my experience. Stay away and save yourself the frustration. MY EARLIER REVIEW BELOW: I purchased a new 2025 Mazda 3 Premium Manual from Preston Mazda in March 2025. While the sales process was smooth, the post-sale experience is incredibly frustrating. Four months later, I still haven't received my permanent license plates. My temporary tags expired, forcing me to take a full day off work. I had to go to the Delaware DMV, provide additional documents, have my car re-inspected, and pay out of pocket for new temporary tags. This is a process the dealership should have handled. I've attempted to contact Preston Mazda multiple times for an update and reimbursement, but they have completely ignored my emails. I have no information on when I will receive my permanent plates or any kind of resolution. If you're considering buying a car from Preston Mazda, be prepared for a frustrating and unsupported experience after you drive off the lot.

My temporary plates expired, and I had to alert Preston multiple times and request new temporary plates. One manager simply hung the telephone up on me. In addition, I had to submit documents to the dealership repeatedly. There is no customer service, as Preston simply wants to make a sale. On multiple occasions, I received inaccurate and false information from the dealership. DO NOT purchase from this dealership!

In 2022, I traded a vehicle while buying a new one and they sold the trade before I signed the papers on the new one. They took 8 WEEKS to pay off my trade. They paid off everything except $600 and admitted it was a clerical error on their part. I called them twice a week for 6 weeks after I realized the trade had an outstanding balance. They kept telling me they would take care of it. I ended up calling the bank, explaining the issue and they confirmed I would get the title if I went ahead and paid the $600. Only after I threatened Preston Auto that I would pay it off and keep the title, did they send the bank the money. It also took 3 trips to get me my second key fob after initially sending two young guys (one with his pants hanging down around his buns) to my house to unsuccessfully program it. I'm guessing one or both were children of the owners/managers. The service department in Hurlock was terrible too. The short guy was rude and condescending. Their "best" sunroof service guy damaged the car when it was being worked on so I got to know them pretty well. I will travel across three states to avoid buying from them ever again. If only I could give them zero stars.
