I just love Gene's.. Judy is the best, and I can tell she's smiling as she talks. I wasn't quite sure what to get, and when I said "maybe Lillies" she quickly directed me to a gorgeous arrangement on their website that was reasonably priced, so I splurged for the bigger arrangement. Five Stars! :-) read more

I called this florist today and even though it was already midday in Florida, a beautiful bouquet was delivered to my aunt the same day! Barb was extremely helpful over the phone selecting the floral arrangement and birthday message. My aunt let me know that the driver even waited for her to get home so that the flowers wouldn't be left on her porch in the heat. I would definitely use this florist again! read more

I don't often write reviews but I have to recognize this excellent/ customer service focused floral shop. I am not from the area and I wanted to send a friend a "thank you" bouquet. I thought it would be a long shot but I asked to use the "Busy Bee Pitcher" with a smaller version of the flowers shown in the "Summertime Sensation Basket". The friendly woman I spoke to said no problem. The flowers were delivered on the same day as my phone call at 11 AM and they are stunning. Trying to attach a photo. read more

I had literally called almost every flower shop in Naples for a same day delivery and none could accommodate- all slots were full-- My final call was to Gene's Florist and Barb answered. She quickly assessed my request for same day, double-checked with her coworker and was creating the most unique flower arrangement as we spoke. Not only did Barb deliver the highest degree of customer service with unbelievable efficiency, but a product that brought joy to the recipient.. Kudos to Barb and her coworker for going above and beyond.. Great experience that is very much appreciated. read more

Dependable with pretty arrangements. Use every year for a relative's birthday and she loves them.

I haven't received customer service this excellent in a long, long time. From the order to the delivery, it was such a positive experience. I called to order a specific arrangement, wanting to know if they had the flowers in stock or would make any substitutions. Marci understood exactly what I was looking for and assured me they had everything needed for the arrangement to be delivered the next day. The morning of the delivery, she texted me a picture of the arrangement even though I hadn't asked her to. It looked beautiful! A few hours later, I received a call from the delivery person. He was concerned that nobody answered the door and wanted to ask if he should leave them or not. He offered to wait a few minutes while I got in touch with the recipient. When I learned that she would be gone all day and evening at her birthday celebration a few miles from her home, I called the delivery person back and asked him if he would be willing to bring the flowers to the party. He agreed wholeheartedly! Once the flowers were delivered, he texted me a big thumbs up. I will use Gene's 5h Ave Florist exclusively from now on when sending flowers to someone in the Naples area. read more

Gene's went way above and beyond for my recent mother's day delivery. Unbeknownst to me, my father's medical condition precludes my parents from having flowers in their home due to the risk of introducing a fungus to his compromised immune system. So when the Gene's delivery arrived, my mother had to reluctantly ask the delivery man to take the flowers back; perhaps donate them to a local hospital. He did that. But in addition, later that day he returned unexpectedly with a delivery of beautiful orchids (which do not carry the same medical risk). Mom was thrilled, and so am I - not only by the beautiful flowers, but by the personal service and creative attention to detail that solved the problem and added an unexpected splash of color to her Mom's day. All on their busiest day of the year. Thanks Gene's! read more

This is simply the BEST florist in Naples! They have the most extensive supply of fresh cut flowers... if you give several days notice you can get Tulips any time of the year from Holland! The owners- Bud , Mark and Barb are so great to work with! Eric is awesome at helping me put together bouquets! Everyone is super friendly! I have purchased many "modern" vases from them as well! I highly highly highly recommend them!!!! I have had them do my flowers for me... but I also enjoy arranging my own bouquets as well... see photos!! Thanks so much!!!! read more

I just hung up the phone after ordering some flowers on the phone. The woman who took my order was very rude. I asked what the bouquet would be like for the price range I ordered and she named,. in a bothered tone, some of the flowers they carried. I just felt she wanted the call to be over. After the call was over she neglected to hang up and I over heard her discussion she was having with another clerk about my call criticizing my method of ordering. I was calling from California and chose this florist because of its Yelp ratings and praise that it got for" being friendly" on the phone. I don't think so. I came away feeling mistreated read more

I called this florist based on the kind reviews and over the top customer service. I was still shocked how pleasant and helpful they are. Ordering flowers last minute for Father's Day and they place me on the phone with the Floral artist herself. She had amazing ideas for different price ranges. We decided to go with orchids and planters so he may have them for a long period and choclate. They are delivering today!! And so gracious. Exceeded my expectations! I was super behind on ordering Mother's Day flowers so I decided to look for a local store to see if they could get flowers to my mom in time. I don't live in the area. I ordered a beautiful arrangement online and the earliest day for delivery was Tuesday. I figured it was my own fault I waited so long and I told my mom her gift would be there Tuesday and apologized for the lateness. Around 10am my mom sent me a picture of the unbelievably gorgeous arrangement that was just delivered. They made it there before their expected date!!! Thank you so much Gene's for making two people really happy this Mother's Day. I will definitely be using you again. read more

I just had a disappointing customer service experience with Gene's Florist. Disappointing as I've used them in the past with good results. Bottom line: If you aren't able to deliver for a special occasion, at least alert the customer or the person you are delivering to. That didn't happen and whoever I spoke to was pretty indignant about it. Ordered flowers to be delivered for my mom's bday. Day comes and goes and mom says nothing was delivered. No call or email to me, no call to her. Nothing. So I sent an email after hours that she didn't receive her flowers. The next morning I get a call asking when my mom will be home to receive her delivery (how am I suppose to answer that question?). Why not explain what happened first? When I asked why it wasn't delivered, they said they tried to deliver but security wouldn't let them in. (OK, plausible, I guess, although in the past they have left the flowers at her door no problem). They also said they called my mom but she received no message from them. She told them that herself and was met with...silence. If you can't deliver for a special occasion, at least alert the customer or the person you are delivering to. That didn't happen. Bad experience and I'll have to find someone else to help for next time. read more

Gene's is my go-to for family in Naples since I moved. They are always incredibly helpful coming up with great arrangements for occasions which I am not the most savvy. Called Gene's yesterday, last minute... because I'm a terrible planner: Me - "Is it too late for valentine's delivery?" Gene's - "Nope! We can do it." Me - "Whew! I need something for my mom for Valentine's Day, but not roses - something fun and different than the usual." Gene's - "Got it covered." Boom! Mom sends text with photo this morning of the flowers, they're impressively beautiful and she loves them. And they've outdone themselves each of the past dozen+ orders for me and always come through with my last minute orders. If only they were in Ohio too... read more

Lots of places can arrange and deliver flowers well. The best among them understand the importance of service. Gene's 5th Ave. Florist gets it! We called a few days before Christmas to ask if there was a way to add a grocery store gift card to the centerpiece arrangement we wanted delivered to my husband's mother. I'd buy the card and have it awaiting pick up at the market. Could the florist swing buy, pick up the card and tuck it into the arrangement? Barb cheerfully said "Absolutely! We'll pick it up today, deliver the flowers and gift card tomorrow, and send you a confirming email so you know it's all taken care of." For a small service charge, Gene's made this happen - even at a super busy time of the year. Wow! Now that's service! Next time I need flowers in the Naples area there won't be any question about who gets my business. Thanks, Barb! P.S. Yes, the email confirmation showed up as promised! And moments before, the gift recipient called to gush over how lovely the arrangement was. Nice, nice, nice. read more
