Ok, so this was the appliance service we called first to repair our refrigerator. The gentleman was…read morevery pleasant and was here the next day as promised. He took our refrigerator apart and determined that our fan motor was out and he needed to order one and would let us know when it was in to reschedule a time to install it. So we waited for a return call (crickets) ... and waited .... (Crickets). So my husband called him back again after the second week. He said the fan motor would be in Monday and he'd call and set up a time to repair it. Again (crickets)....we waited (crickets)....and waited (crickets). We tried calling numerous times with no response so called Circle N Appliance and they were in and out in a day. (You know where I'm going with this, right? Skip A-1 Appliance and go straight to the Cs for Circle N Appliance.) I gave A-1 Appliance 2 stars because he showed up on time and he didn't charge us anything but left our refrigerator in pieces. Why he didn't just tell us he couldn't fix it is beyond me. I mean, we wouldn't have been upset and we would have had our refrigerator up and running much sooner. ‍

I have been very pleased with all of my interactions with Greg Biggs, regarding my HVAC needs. It…read morebegan with my refrigerator freezing, with the result of it no longer cooling my food. I contacted Biggs Service Co, and spoke with Greg, who asked several questions and then very accurately diagnosed the overall problem and what to do to get my refrigerator working again. He did not come out at that time, because he had been able to solve the problem over the phone. It would have been an after hours service call (it was a weekend evening) that would have cost a pretty penny I am sure. Greg did recommend that he or someone come out to further establish why the refrigerator froze up, sometime the upcoming week, during work hours. Other companies I had called that evening, before Greg, told me they would come out for "X" amount of money - nobody else gave me expert advice over the phone for free, essentially fixing my refrigerator at no cost! I did have Greg come out to look at the refrigerator, as well as my furnace and A/C (with winter fast approaching). He examined the furnace and A/C carefully and determined they were both in good, working condition. He did not do a full examination of the refrigerator because it was working fine now (b/c he fixed it over the phone). He advised me of what he thought may have caused the refrigerator to freeze and stated he would be happy to come out if I had further problems with it. Greg was polite, friendly, accommodating, skilled, and efficient. He explained everything very carefully. He is very honest and has a lot of integrity. I will most certainly keep his information and have him as my go-to HVAC/appliance/plumbing/etc. person, from now on. I was very impressed!

A bad wind storm we had knocked out our power and was flickering off and on. I didn't know it…read morewould destroy my oven but it did. The range top kept working but I couldn't use the oven at all. I kept getting an error code. I called Direct Appliance after a couple other places refused to even come out where I live, about half the distance to the Boys Ranch. I talked to Bryan and he came out to check my range and said a part was fried and he would need to order the part and it would take about a week to get it and then install it. He gave me the price, I gave him half the cost so he could order the part after making sure he could get the part. My electric range is a smooth top and at least 17 years old and was new when we got our home. A week later he came out to install the new part and now my ranges' oven is working like new again. Getting it repaired was much cheaper than buying a new stove. Bryan was very nice, worked clean, had reasonable pricing for his work and most of all trustworthy. If you have an appliance problem and live outside of Amarillo like I do in Valle De Oro he will travel out here. Direct Appliance will be my go-to service when I need work done next time, be it washer, dryer, frig or stove.
