I've been seeing Dr. Sundaram since late 2024. I like her and she has good knowledge and good interpersonal skills. Her nurse is always nice, too. I always have to wait in line to check in. The front desk staff is always different. Today the woman who checked me in had such a strong accent I had trouble understanding her. Their number one concern is insurance. You cannot be seen without it. I needed to pay a $150 deposit since I had a high deductible plan and my appointment would "definitely cost more than that." Always a new policy each time I come. The front desk does not welcome patients by name. They won't do bloodwork in advance, but the lab is just upstairs and they do walk-ins, so it's convenient. The checkout desk person Unica is fun and friendly and always uses my name. Overall it meets my needs as long as my doc is there. read more

I have come here for about 4 years and never had a problem. They also took care of my 92 year old mom with such kindness. My long time provider left after the birth of her child but everyone I have seen since has been good. I called this morning and got an appointment 3 hours later. I have noticed the overall staff does change frequently and I miss some of the old staff, but have not had any problems at all. I will continue here. read more

I have been a patient for many years. There has been a lot of turnover and I never seem to establish any provider consistency. I called today to schedule a physical. I was told that they do NOT do blood work before a physical and that insurance does not pay for it. It is the Clinic policy. I called my insurance and they DO pay for it prior to your exam. Why do I want to visit my doctor and they have NOTHING to go on. Blood work tells the doctor what your vitals are....I am over 60. They said that they would call me afterwards if something is wrong. What? I want to be able to discuss in person and get feedback. I am changing providers. read more

- Avoid This Place at All Costs I've been coming here for the past 5 years. While I was never fully satisfied, I tolerated it--until now. I'm done. This clinic is a complete rip-off. I came in for a recurring UTI, something they've treated me for before. Despite this, they "couldn't find" my past prescriptions (except the ineffective one from years ago). The doctor--yet another new face because staff turnover here is constant--took a guess and prescribed the ineffective antibiotic. I had to go digging through my own notes to find the correct one. Calling in to ask for the effective one to be prescribed, I was told I'd need to come in *again* (and pay again) or wait 48-72 hours for a callback--while in pain. Completely unacceptable. To top it off, I watched a woman get turned away for being one minute late to her appointment. She walked in before her 5:10 time but reached the desk at 5:11 after waiting in line. She was pleading, clearly distressed, and they still refused her. No compassion. No flexibility. Just rigid policy and cold service. This place doesn't care about your health--just your money. The fact that even doctors and nurses don't stick around for long tells you everything about their management, literally go anywhere else! read more

I have been coming here for years. My daughters were always treated with kindness and respect during all their pediatric visits. I have had a couple of providers, all of whom appeared to care about my issues and listen without judgment. They are very efficient, knowledgeable and have brightened my day on numerous occasions. Dr. Lo has also provided amazing care and provides a space to ask questions. Quality has plummeted, will be finding a new practice. It used to be great but not anymore, sad I'll have to leave. Ever since the practice came under Gladowski's management, good providers leave left and right. Even if you find a provider you like, if they are good, they'll be gone in a year for a better workplace. It's hard to get consistent care. The quality of providers is also pretty bad now. For ex, I once had a nurse review my meds list and ask if I take an EpiPen every day for my allergies. This level of incompetence is unacceptable in a healthcare provider. They have also started billing appointments with more lucrative insurance billing codes than in the past. Having the inside of your ears looked at in a 10 min appointment will be billed as 'high complexity exam" and cost hundreds after good insurance. They also have a "wellness center" and promote beauty treatments/procedures heavily. I am a patient of the regular practice and constantly get emails from them promoting their treatments which really just reinforces toxic beauty standards. I never signed up to these emails, they just send them to all patients. It is meant to capitalize on people's insecurities and gives them new ones. This makes me very distrustful of the whole practice and proves they care more about profits (promoting an additional revenue stream) than the physical/emotional well being of patients. Overall, this just isn't a good doctor's office anymore. Hard to get consistent care, hard to find a decent provider, costs a lot of money, and not a place I can put my trust in. If suggest finding a provider within one of the larger hospital systems or a bigger practice that has more accountability. read more

Everyone is always kind and patient. Never had any issues with anyone. My most recent visit was with Dr. Mauceri. My shoulder had been bothering me for 2 months. It took him all of 2 seconds to locate the exact spot that the problem was coming from and diagnose it as biceps tendonitis. An injection solved the problem and I am now pain free and doing well. Also had a specific question about energy and he sent me upstairs for a blood panel draw. I drive all the way from Louisburg to visit this office. read more

I had been going here for years. Then I started getting nervous when each year I had to find a new Dr because my previous one would leave. My last experience convinced me I will never go back. Knowing that you can not talk about anything during the physical or you will be charged for different appointment I was very careful. When talking about getting my bloodwork I asked if I could add a Vit D and B12 because I had been deficient in the past. The PA told me they might charge me more and I agreed thinking she was talking about the lab. No, she meant the office! So they charged me simply for asking to add those to the blood test!! This practice used to be the best. Far from it now. The front desk staff are rude and unprofessional, and unfortunately, it only gets worse from there. Went in for flu like symptoms, and the medical assistant that took my vitals tried to take my pressure over my coat and seemed like she was sleepwalking. I saw Zachary Lo, who dismissed my condition as viral and told me to eat a bland diet. After leaving and knowing her was wrong, I went to an urgent care where I was diagnosed with Covid, pneumonia, and strep. How the hell can you miss all three? Needless to say, neither I nor my family have or ever will go there again. On top of that, when speaking to my cardiologist, she realized that Zachary took me off of a medication that he should not have. This place is only concerned with getting people to keep coming back and making those co-pays. As a patient of the practice for close to 10 years, I've watched the exceptional mind blowing attention to detail from the doctor go to now I'm on week three of simply just wanting a prescription refilled and getting the runaround. The front desk has been as helpful as they could be. Unfortunately, circumstances like this don't seem to be in their control. I've called numerous times I followed the correct procedure to ask for a prescription refill on the patient portal and here we are at week three and they can't do anything for me to get my prescription refilled. Doctor herself was OK, nice person, but I could not believe what they charge for establishing a patient, when you enter all your info in a tablet, so clearly it goes directly into their system. Generations Family Practice - NOT FOR ME I transferred from another local doctor in Cary as I experienced the same problems there that I got here. Rude and unprofessional front staff for starts. You can NOT talk to any staff regarding your results, etc. as everything MUST BE DONE through the portal. The problem is, it takes 3 to 4 days for anyone to respond to you in the portal. NEW PATIENTS MUST GO through and interview process with the PA before you can do ANYTHING with this practice. The PA sat with me for 30 minutes (no exam whatsoever) and I was charged $350! Getting a same-day appointment is nearly impossible when you are sick (what is the point of having a regular doctor?). I did schedule same day appointment with another PA (regrettably) and cancelled to go to Urgent Care instead but they insist on collecting $35 for a cancellation even though it was the same day. read more

High turnover in staff and the NPs seem inexperienced. I went recently with stomach issues and the NP wasn't confident in her diagnosis and looked like she was Googling my symptoms. We asked her to give us her thoughts based on her experience, and she couldn't. My husband and I walked out of there thinking that was a waste of time. After my last physical, part of my labs were lost with no explanation, and I wasn't asked to resubmit. My other lab results were never reviewed with me. I have been a patient with GFP for a couple years and recently became pregnant. I am now in the third trimester and had the symptoms of a UTI (which can be dangerous during pregnancy) and I reached out to GFP to get an emergency visit/a test quickly scheduled. The office staff I spoke with was unhelpful, didn't speak clearly, and left me on hold for nearly 20 minute. I was unable to get an appointment and no one reached out to follow up with me. I had a wellness visit with bloodwork in Sept 2022. I needed a prescription refill that I tried multiple times to refill in May 2023, only to be told by a rude staff member that I was required to talk to the dr, which I could do as a televisit. I tried arguing a couple of more time, but then scheduled it. After more than 30 mins waiting on the phone, the dr explained people were coming into their annual with too long a list so she was doing these "check ins." I was then charged a $200 office visit since I discussed "medical issues." She asked me questions! They refuse to recode as a wellness visit, even though I had no concerns, and no desire for the visit to begin with. Beware, seems unethical to me! Now I'm stuck with a $200 charge. read more

The office is in disarray, disorganized, and worst of all, argumentative. It completely explains the staff turnover they have. We had a billing issue and I thought I had properly appealed the bill but they did not see it that way and sent it to collections. I paid it when I learned it went to collections. The office then proceeded to bill me 36% of the original bill total as a collection fee. I called and politely requested they cancel it because of the misunderstanding and that we have been customers for 7 years. I was simply told, "No, unfortunately, we cannot cancel it as that is our fee". I didn't elect for it to go to collections. Furthermore, when I asked who the practice manager was, he would not tell me. I asked three times and he would only provide his supervisor's name. We have been patient with the staff for quite some time, this is the straw to break the camel's back. We are leaving the practice. read more

The lack of communication with the billing department is horrible I reached out about an appointment I could not make it to due to having Covid and a few months later had a 75.00 no show fee on my credit report. Not one letter or call in reference to the fee as well as no returned called from the manger of billing Jessica. All my years of going to a doctor or a specialist I've never had a missed appointment or a charge, but what do I expect when I never receive a call for the medical care that was set up by the doctor. DAWN EVANCHO IS THE BEST!!! I'll start out with the pros! I've been fortunate enough to have 2 of there most amazing doctors come from this place. I moved here from Kansas City a few years ago, and didn't even realize how awful my family doctor was in KC. When I first moved here I made an appointment with Carrine Woodworth, she was amazing. She found out I had a few different health issues that my doctor in KS brushed off completely, and she was proactive about it. When I heard Carrine was no longer there, I had almost looked for a new office to go to, until I met Dawn Evancho there! She's just as AMAZING! She is a great listener, and makes you feel at ease. I recommend her to everyone. The front desk service is also very amazing, professional, and helpful. Okay now onto the cons. I've been coming here for the past few years, and there have been times that I come in and wait quite a bit past my appointment time. There's usually a good reason why though, and they've always been apologetic whenever it happens. If you want to go in and out of urgent care on Saturday, forget about it. It's great if you need to be seen last minute on a Saturday and can't get in on Monday. But if you can, try to book an appointment instead during the week, it'll save you time. read more

This has nothing to do with they practice themselves. I was directed by the receptionist to make an appointment online. Their website is so beyond useless I cant even make an appointment. I have filled out the same form, 4 times. They keep asking for the same information you just gave them, over, and over, and over. There is NO way to skip information that is not relevant to you (i.e information about your kids even if you don't have them, they are required forms). They have "Patient initials" sections that are just check boxes on the forms. Its an absolute joke. read more

I saw Kelley Johnson NP today and went for establishing a new patient / PCP as well as obtaining my birth control prescription. Kelley was rude to me regarding my medical history and made me feel uncomfortable when discussing options of care. She neglected to review my assessment of mental health forms I was made to fill out and she jumped to conclusions about my mental health with barely knowing me. She prescribed me a completely different drug than what I had specifically requested and it has different dosages than what I am used to taking. This alone is enough to make me feel like she wasn't listening to me. I found her to be unwelcoming and incompetent. I do not recommend seeing Kelley Johnson NP. read more

Generations Family Practice cancelled my appointment because of delayed opening for snow, but never called me or notified me, so I drove to my appointment to find a closed office. Intake staff is rude and unhelpful. Made an appointment for physical and back issues. I arrived 30 minutes prior to appointment at 9:30AM, only to be told I have to pick one or the other to discuss when I arrived for my appointment. They mentioned no such thing when booking my appointment. So I waited around two weeks for nothing when I could have booked a second appointment. I mentioned this to the nurse who got all defensive, and says, "Well you didn't speak to me! I didn't make your appointment." Dr. still comes in 20 minutes late, takes barely 5 minutes to examine me and sends me on my way for blood work. I sit in their waiting room another 30 minutes if you can believe it to get blood taken. At this point the office manager, Emily, comes out and calls me back and leads me surreptitiously to a room where I think I'm about to get my blood work performed. She begins talking to me very patronizingly, "So I understand you have some complaints?" I say, "I was expecting to discuss my back issues and get my physical". Emily responds very curtly, "well I have a staff member in my office right now crying and I'm just trying to understand why". Overall, extremely unprofessional office filled with immature and untrained staff and indifferent doctors. I was a first time patient and the Doctor didn't even introduce himself. Please do better for your patients. This office prioritizes profit over patient outcomes and you feel it with every interaction. UPDATE: The day following my appointment, I received no less than 3 different marketing emails (e.g. Quest Diagnostics) from medical or pharmaceutical companies. Apparently Generations Family Practice seems to sell personal patient information to marketers, further evidenced by the medical and pharmaceutical commercials playing on the TV in the office lobby. read more

I have been a patient at Generations Family Practice since 2015 when I moved to NC. To date, my experience with this practice has been WONDERFUL and I always receive top-notch care. I like that the practice has expanded its offerings over the years and have been impressed with how they manage the changes and growth without sacrificing the quality of care provided to patients. One such offering I recently took advantage of is the addition of their "Keto Program" and it has truly been a LIFE-CHANGING experience for me. As a 52-year-old woman who has had a lifelong struggle with weight, I had all but given up on ever arriving at a healthy weight. With ~200 lbs. to lose and little hope left, I had resigned myself to experiencing the many negative health conditions that inevitably come with morbid obesity. Through the years I have tried countless different programs and tactics to lose this stubborn weight. And people wonder why insurance is getting ridiculous... I called and asked about the charge and they said "it was the maximum United Health Care would allow them to charge". I recently made a mistake, and it turned out to be a pretty big one. I was tired of driving over a half-hour to go to my primary care health provider, so I decided to switch to a closer place. My mistake was choosing based solely on proximity, not quality. I chose the absolute closest place to my home, which was a clinic right across the street, Heck, I could walk there if needed. I made an appointment, transferred all my records, verified them with my insurance company, all the necessary but time-consuming stuff required to change providers. Then, after the appointment, they didn't call in any of my prescriptions, which was weird because that was the primary purpose of my visit. Puzzled, I called and left messages, and they called and left me messages back. Sometimes they were voicemails, sometimes they reached me directly. The story was always the same: they would call them in tomorrow. Which would have been fine, but it was always tomorrow, and they were never called in. After going back and forth over five times in the course of a month and a half, I started to panic because I was running out of some of my meds. Running out of a blood pressure medication could actually kill me. That got my attention. So, I made the difficult decision to give up on them and start all over. I was determined not to make that mistake again, so this time I did a ton of research and found a place that was great quality, but still not very far from my home. Generations Family Practice. I did all the same things again - transferred records, brought in my prescription bottles, came in for an initial appointment, all that. This time was different. Very different. They renewed my prescriptions during the appointment, while I was there. They asked lots of good questions and gave reasonable suggestions. They showed me their patient portal where you can log in, see your history, send questions to your doctor, and see upcoming appointments. The PA I saw was the best I've ever seen, and spent lots of time with me, not just on the first visit, but every visit since then. That's astonishing. They also accept walk-ins, and are open for that purpose on Saturday mornings. So, if you suddenly come down with the flu and need a fast prescription for Tamiflu, they've got you covered. I like them so much that I've since transferred my daughter there too. As for the place across the street? They still haven't renewed my prescriptions, and it has been four months now. Something tells me it isn't going to happen. read more

Other than Dr.cox, the rest of the staff both medical and admin suck and are liars. We have been going there since their old small office and we realized that if you don't double-check the bill, they will play around with medical codes and charge you for things that you never requested. It's true. Again this is not for Dr. Cox who is an amazing guy!. Also, just recently, we called bc we thought one of us has covd19 so they just asked us few questions on the phone and told us to go to another facility for testing. This morning, we get a bill for telemedicine for $200?! I mean really, you are gaming the system? since when a simple call to see if you are conducting tests become telemedicine. Thieves! As a typical guy in his late 30s, I thought I was invincible and as a result hadn't gone to the doctor in several years. Well in late November I came down with some pretty serious health issues, and finally went to Generations, based on research that my wife had done and proximity to our home. I had my appointment with Dr. Chad Cox, who was absolutely amazing. He showed true concern and compassion for what I was going through, thoroughly listened to my history and concerns, and helped me understand what his diagnosis was and the next steps. Acknowledging the acuteness of my conditions, he quickly got me referred into a specialist the next day, which was tricky considering it was the week before Thanksgiving. He was aware that I was having a lot of anxiety and fear about my symptoms and was very reassuring that the "horse is still in the barn" with my condition. The specialist treatments went well and I was on the road to recovery, which took several weeks. I went back a month later to finally get a physical. I had sent Dr. Cox a list of my questions / concerns in advance (both related to my November condition as well as number of "deferred health maintenance" items that had come up over 6 or so years of not going to the doctor. It was clear that he had read my questions in advance, and spent the time to talk through all the questions that I had, in a very reassuring and plain English way. He also took the time to meet my wife and talk through some of the questions that she had too. I simply cannot recommend anyone more highly than I would Dr. Cox, hands down the best primary care physician I've been to! read more
