I gave this 5 stars because it is such a nice idea. I love the idea of involving my 6 yr old grandchild in something healthy and useful in life. I figured someone would show us what to do. No ... we went to a table and everyone has to read the long directions and make it themselves. I asked for help and the man couldn't answer. We were down a screw and there weren't others. I wish they would have posted step by step directions with a picture or sample of each step. We used a screw at one point, instead of a nail. It didn't matter in the whole scheme of things but we didn't know that and thought we might have ruined the whole thing. .. a little stressful as we wanted to have a good experience with our grandchild. After we put the wooden BBQ together we got to paint it. There weren't a lot of colors but it was only a BBQ. There were decals to put on it when it dried. So thank you Home Depot for doing this. It is wonderfully kind and it could be even better. I suppose we'll get better and better if we keep doing it. We'll try again.

They promised to come in and address what they committed prior to me purchasing to what was actually done .. that never happens. Sadly, this is the final text they sent to me, which could easily be interpreted as a mild threat: "And next time, before you share you address, do your research.. that way a person and/or company that you are not happy and satisfied with DOES NOT have your home address." They always give you the sales price IF you tell them. But this happens ALL the time. There's just no way this is not on purpose. It's shady and dishonest, and we're done. Goodbye Target.

The parking lot was pretty full, as was the store. It did appear that all the checkout lanes were open. I was overcharged for what I bought, as some of the items were on sale. So now I will need to go to another Target to get the overcharge refunded. This experience will keep me away from Target, so that is a good thing. The cashier was friendly, though. Customer Service from the Walnut Creek store tried to say I did not receive the discount, as I had to buy two. Well, I did buy two of the items and my receipt reflects the full price charged, not the price on the shelf. But at least I got the store to admit to the price on the shelf. It seems the store could have looked up my receipt to see what happened. I am still waiting on my refund, though. 12/28 Now I am told the items I bought were not part of the sale, and the shelf tags were removed. I found the ad that ended 12/27, and it is clearly listed on sale. Then the sale price had been confirmed with me yesterday when they didn't think I bought the required quantity. I tried to point out that this is a new sales week and last week's promotions would have ended.
