I want to say a special thank you to Josh -- the ASL wizard. I lost hearing in one ear recently, and Josh made the whole place feel like home instead of an audio-free bunker. If you're hard of hearing and someone signs, bring Josh into the loop -- he's your person. (He wasn't the one we bought from, but he still earns top marks.) We wanted out of our charmingly named death trap, "Titanic or Thor Hurricane." After visiting 12 dealers (yes, twelve -- feel free to gasp), we met Brett. Brett (coincidentally the same name as my husband), who goes by "Bam" for reasons nobody offered to explain. He was polite but clearly running on baby-duty exhaustion--lots of yawns--so I assumed a small child had declared war on his sleep. Still, he was attentive enough to lead us outside and show us three Class C diesels. Number 1 was my immediate favorite, as if a motorhome could wink. I told Bam plainly: give me what my husband and I want and you'll have a deal. I specified the trade-in value, zero fees (including the obligatory "prep fee"), and a discount off the price. Back inside he gave the classic salesperson line, "Let me see what I can do." Charmingly predictable. I replied, "Fine--then I'll take it to your sales manager myself," and walked over to Jonathan. Jonathan actually ran the numbers, agreed, and we shook hands. Deal made. We needed a day or two to sort funds, and during that interval something went wrong on their end. They fixed it--heroically and without drama--and more than made amends. All's well that ends with less thunder and more sensible wheels. We had a 1:30 PM appointment that Friday -- and yes, we were downgrading from a 30-foot storage palace to a 25-foot closet on wheels, so we needed time like a squirrel needs nuts. I asked to reschedule and they squeezed us in at 8:30 AM. Woo-hoo. We needed every minute. Brett was off at his son's soccer game on Friday, but Jonathan was there -- gave me a hug, said it was great doing business, and promised a photo with the new unit. He slipped away before I could catch him, so I cornered Jeff instead; he heroically posed with our rig and was lovely. This is our 5th rig. The team we bought from in NY were excellent, and these folks were too -- from Josh (ASL hero) to Deanna (walk-through pro). Tell them exactly what you want and make it clear you'll buy if they deliver. They're polite, easy to deal with, and if anything goes wrong, they'll fix it. We have now been in our Winnebego View for a month ( I think !! ) and although we had to do some minor things like clear the water line of corosion to get hot water and fix the DEF which we researched and new about it's been great. We will be going to back to see Bam ( Brett ) to get a Super C when we are ready. read more

I already have financing through my bank so I asked the gal for an out the door price. You would not believe the amount of fees they try to tack on. This place is a scam. Stay away. $5249 in ridiculous fees. I asked the lady about them and she said all dealerships charge these fees. I said not they don't , I sent her a out the door quote from another dealer with none of the bs fees. They also want to charge labor to install a hitch that I am buying from them, to pull a trailer I am buying from them. $1,250 for the hitch with labor. We purchased our Class C Entegra in October 2025- great responsiveness to get the sale and then BOOM, typical RV dealer, won't assist in getting our warranty work done. We live three states away, triple checked the amount owing upon flying down to SLC. Had to take an uber to the dealer because everyone was busy and couldn't pick us up. Upon arrival at the dealer the majority of the staff were watching a football game on TV! Getting into finance, it was discovered that the cashiers check was for the wrong amount. For spending a ton of money on what is supposed to be a great RV, they treat their customers subpar. Now here we are with still warranty work that needs to be done and they won't assist. We are having diesel leak from our Timberline Elwell system. It has been 3 weeks since we had General RV in Draper look at it. We are getting nowhere. We tried another place (Paris RV) but they wouldn't work on it/no experience). We are out of luck. Looks like we need to figure out how to cap the fuel line ourselves. read more

Here we are 1 year later and i reached out to General RV for a trade in value on my RV. We lightly used this trailer for 1 year and are possibly looking to trade it in for something different for me and my family and we purchased it for $26K. They are now offering $9-9,500 is all, so a third of what i paid. I completely agree it will never be worth what you originally paid but i cannot express how insulted i am and how sorry i am i ever purchased from these crooks. this goes to show how ripped off i was and what they truly paid for the trailer when they originally took it in. i feel sorry for anyone that trades in there RV or buys from these guys. i know i will never purchase from here again nor will i recommend these guys to anyone. We are from a smaller town in Colorado. We prefer to conduct business locally but the local RV dealerships couldn't match General RV's trade-in offer for our toy hauler. The higher trade-in value made a huge difference in our final out-of-pocket cost. We worked with Riley and Blake. Great guys. The purchase was a pleasant experience overall. I just wanted to update my review of the Prime Time trailer that we purchased from Riley in April. We were very happy with it the purchase process and very happy with the trailer after the first few weeks and posted a 5 star review. Ever on the quest for a part and in the right part of town (south Draper, apparently?) I thought why the heck not pop in and see what they are all about. You'll note that the front of the building is for RV sales and they have circa one bajillion big ones on the lot that they'll shuttle you out to. I don't think I'll ever live a life where a monster trailer like that fits into my world, but if you want to come see a bunch of them and what they offer, this is where you'll go. I was looking for parts/accessories, which is actually located around the north side of the building, so I just walked all the way around to have a peek. Now, this is really more about he parts/service counter. They do have a very small retail footprint there and you can pick up a few odds and ends, but it's far more just about meeting with someone and getting the part or fix that you need. Long story short, they didn't have what I needed. But to be fair, I was after a part for a very small trailer, and they definitely focus on the big mama jammas here. As I came to find out, most RV lots/part warehouses are focused on large trailers. This particular biz had a more warehouse-y feel than other lots I've visited, if that matters at all to you. read more

Took the van in to get the bowed out water tank fixed along with the water pump. 1. The hose line to the water pump was not put back together. So water spewed everywhere all over the van. Under cabinetry with no way to get to it. 2. The new bracket they put in for the water tank, they screwed in with screws that were TOO LONG. PUNCTURING THE WATER TANK COMPLETELY! they left it in worse condition it was brought to them in. I rent my van out. I will have to cancel/refund bookings until this is fixed. GENERAL RV, you better pay me back ALL that I lose!!!!!!!!! You have got to have literal 12 year olds working on these vehicles! read more

I was shopping around the country looking to buy my 2nd RV with a trade in. These guys came to table and beat the competition on my new coach as well as on my trade in price. Ron, Jeff, Riley and JD were all involved in the deal to make it happen. I know how to negotiate and I knew what was a good deal and a bad deal as this was not my first RV purchase. These guys were great and honest. During pickup I had to pay the remaining balance and JD realized I had already paid the 5k deposit and refunded me the money. I was shocked I did not realize that and thanked him for pointing that out. I don't think most dealerships would be that honest in this scenario. Just picked up our new motorhome, and we're very happy. After a lot of research, we bought our first class A motorhome (sight-unseen) through Bobby in General RV Internet department. Ended up doing a special order so that we could get exactly what we wanted. Closed the deal the first week in January and was told to "expect delivery April or May, but supply chain issues could delay". The coach came off the assembly line at the end of March and was in Salt Lake City three weeks later. It took us a few more weeks to arrange the drive from CA to pick it up. We negotiated a good price, and they got us financing terms that were more than a point better than Camping World. The initial walk-through was rough. The woman who was supposed to show us how everything worked on the coach had poor customer service skills and knew little about our coach. When I was trying to understand the radio, she actually said "we sell motorhomes, not radios, you'll have to figure it out." Needless to say, that did not go over well, but we got an instant response from Bobby, and then Jeff the service manager and Robert the owner. This is our first class A, but we've had 4 trailers and a class C, so we expected some issues with the new coach. They made sure all our punch list items were taken care of in a day, and squeezed us in to install a satellite dish too. Jeff even helped troubleshoot my wiring problem on the 4Runner so we could tow it home. Overall, we're very happy with the experience and the way we were ultimately treated at General RV. I'm sure we'll have more things that need to be taken care of under warranty (and beyond), but the build, component and fixture quality on the Holiday Rambler is quite good, and better than expected. read more

Their service is terrible. They are either under staffed, have employees that are incompetent or both. They never return calls, and they do not ensure trailers and equipment are fully functional before they send it home with you. They are great when they want to make a sale, but after that forget about it. If you can find some place else to have any work done on your RV do that instead of going to General RV. read more

Stranded and abandoned!! If we could take away stars we would. We were looking at their inventory on line. We found the 5th wheel we wanted and drive from Arizona to trade ours in. We cleaned ours and expected the trade would be in the same condition. Not only wasn't it cleaned, but the black tank from the previous owner was 3/4s full. That was the beginning of our problems. After installing a pin in the truck bed, we learned they damaged our truck. They wanted to do the work themselves and didn't send it to a Dodge dealer for repairs. We've been stuck in Salt Lake for 11 days, and no one will return our phone calls. Even if they do finally repair the damage, will it be done correct? I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

UPDATE: Received a phone call from Jeff, the service manager explaining where the disconnect had been. It all boils down to communication, had the technician called to explain what was taking so long it would have been fine, just don't leave me hanging. Return the phone calls and treat me like I mean something. Jeff even followed up a few days later to ensure the trailer is working properly and it is. I went there on Thursday, the 4th of May to ask about a trailer that was advertised on their lot. I was asked to sit down with a salesperson named DEJA. After being probed MANY questions by deja, she got up and said I'll be right back. I thought she might have found a better deal. A couple minutes later, somebody came over and identified himself as a manager. He informed me I said something that offended deja, then invited me to leave the store. I asked what it was that I said that was offensive. he wouldn't tell me. On the way out of the store, he asked what breed my dog is. My reply was "I don't think that matters, does it"? This "manager" wouldn't share what it was that I said that offended deja. This store just lost a potential $35K-$100K sale. Whatever happened to the saying of, the "customer is always right"? Even today, I still wonder what it was that I said that offended this salesgirl. I was so in shock the rest of that day. I am still blown away today about how I was treated! I've never been in this store, and I'll never step in this store again, I'd rather take my money somewhere else. Shame on General RV for treating me this way! read more

General RV Center 14295 Minuteman Dr, Draper, UT 84020 My mother purchased A 2019 fith wheel from here. I was along in case she needed help with finance seing as the offer for her 2020 trade in was not given to her on the grounds of she may be offended. So now she has two. The one she purchased is much bigger, I would tow it home for her. All was good, sales people nice, knowledgeable, and not real pushy. Did the walk through, all seem to work, even put a thermometer in the fridge to see if it cooled, and it dropped 10 or so degrees, not alot of time to see if it all would function as it should. The service department put the hitch on the unit I bought to match up to my truck, explained how to set the air bag and so forth. Then the time to sign papers. The aftermarket warranty was brought up and she declined, over and over. When he couldn't get her to commit he came and tried to get me to talk her into it. "just keep it for 3 months and cancel it because the fridge is really expensive" is what the pitch was, OVER and OVER again until I basically yelled at him to stop trying. Away we go, the 350 miles home. Get there and the fridge doesn't work. Looking into it, is sure looks like the fridge was recently removed and put back. (Screw heads shinny, dust disturbed, and removal straps exposed, ECT). You buy used "As is" I'm very aware of this. I do however feel (knowing what I know now) that this problem was probably known and not relayed to us in fear of the sale not going through. I would have much rather delt with the fridge before having to make a 700 mile round trip to the dealership. I would have just had a new one installed. I can't prove my theory, but sometimes your gut just tells you things. read more

very un happy with the way I was spoken to by Zack Anderson General Sales Manager. I felt attacked and it was very unprofessional. I had already bought and had been waiting for a generator for over a year that should have come with the camper, but there was a shortage during the time we bought. I was very patient and understanding but no one would ever call me back on the generator and finally I had to go in to even get them to talk to me and then Zack decided to attack me about it after all the time and calls I have put in trying to get it done, and spending my money with them. We purchased a RV from General RV in October 2022. It has been in the shop for repairs more than its been in our driveway. The sales people were not trustworthy. Things were not explained properly about the RV. We want our money back and for the dealership and the manufacturer to take the RV back. It's a lemon and we are very disappointed with them. They have not made things right for us. We will NEVER recommend them. Very disheartening for us. We paid over 100k for the RV and it definitely was not worth it. We had some very challenging things come up after we bought the trailer such as our truck needing a new transmission. I was recently traveling up in Utah when the refrigerator on my Thor Sequence stopped working. I called General RV and spoke with Michelle and she immediately got me scheduled for an appointment at 0800 that very next morning. Just to let you know that when I called it was 555pm and they close at 6pm. I brought it in promptly at 0800 and it was fixed and ready to go in less than hour. Hafin in the financing department was always quick to respond and provided us with invaluable information about how to protect our investment. I would look for a different dealer if you plan on needing any service or warranty work, unless you are ok with mediocrity. In a nutshell, poor craftsmanship, they scratch and ding everything, and then they do it again and again. Also, they lied about the environmental coating they sold me, said it was a clear coat and you can feel the difference, when in reality it is a glorified wax job that only lasts a year (this is directly from the guy who applied it), and you can't visibly or physically differentiate that is was applied We have actually had very few issues that needed repair, but General RV has created several issues. The original issue was a slide-out tore a hole in the linoleum floor, faulty part from the factory. Most of the issues were caused from them replacing the floor, which they did a horrible job with. Floor was lifting up, because they didn't put the floor under trim edges, just rolled it up next to it. You could see a cut line where old floor met new floor, the solution now is to hide it with two layers of carpet, which they didn't even install edge to edge, instead you see two layers of carpet on the steps. They installed a slide incorrectly and it rubbed marks on the brand new floor, which I now have to live with. I have to live with several door casing and trims not aligning, not square, uneven gaps, and showing unfinished edges because General RV doesn't have the skills or experience for most of the repairs they have done. Every time we bring it in for service they cause damage, and the work they do is well below the quality you receive from the manufacture, you really have to lower your standards. It has now taken over a year to fix all the issues that they caused, and some issue we have to live with because that is the best they can do. Very sloppy craftsmanship, see the photos for yourself: smear putty all over the place, use putty to hide scratches they caused, install wood trim seam tape over carpet fibers vs removing item to install, install wrong decals (different size and texture), install wrinkled decals (looks worse than the decal they were to replace), cabinet work is lob sided and warped with several panels not square and staple holes everywhere, broken trim pieces, put seam tape over trim pieces that you can see edges lifting up, install toilets where you can't open the lid, put a 12" wide strip of wallpaper that stands out horribly, and more. There is no quality control or anyone checking the work before you show up (one time I showed up and a dresser was taken apart). Even on the pre-delivery inspection, it was full of scratches and ripped decals, silicone smeared everywhere, and even easy things like the battery lid was backwards. Later is was apparent that this was the work of General RV. I have reached out to management and headquarters, and had to insist on a meeting with the service manager, he didn't even respond to my email explaining the issues, he delegated that to my service advisor. Nothing more frustrating than writing a one page letter directly to management that explains the issues, and they won't even respond personally. When I did meet with him, he told me "that my RV is better than from the factory because they have fixed all the factory issues" I told him they caused most of the problems, he said "they caused problems fixing the original factory issues", I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Not once has this dealer apologized for their terrible service, or all the unnecessary trips that I've had to make to drop off my RV. Is all they want to do is get you in, charge the manufacture for a warranty repair, do a crappy job, and then repeat the cycle again There is interior wood trim around a dresser slide out, that they have tried to fix 3 times, it now it looks worse than the original issue, which was a few bubbles in the lamination. It is warped and dimpled. I reached out to the manufacture, and they are sending me the wood to do the repair myself, along with trim that they just placed a sticker over with the sticker hanging off the edge. I canceled my $4,500 extended warranty, because they have proven I don't want them any where near my RV. I'm now self insured and will do the repairs myself, where I know they will be done correctly. I'm not sure if all dealers are like this, but this one I would stay away from, we know of other people who have had similar experiences with them, and obviously other reviewers agree, wish I would have read them first. read more
