Had a new awning installed (said they could not get ordinal brand) and sold me a cheap one that delaminated in less than 3 years. Do not give a deposit! We put a five thousand dollar deposit down until the salesperson could get us the financing & interest that was affordable for our budget as we are retired. Things started getting very confusing with three different sales people involved the numbers kept changing. Our trust is now gone so we asked for our deposit back the reply was it's non refundable! The part was not on the back. They never put it up. Gave me B.S. about ladder prep meaning that studs are there so I can put up my own ladder. The unit I saw at an RV show had a Lippert ladder holder attached in the back. So I would just need to buy the expandable ladder. Now I have to install the part and get the ladder. I've been an RVer for over 30 years. As you know, it's sometimes hard to find good service, and to get good work done in a timely manner. But General RV in Dover, Florida is the worst "service facility" I've ever dealt with. I have a Winnebago Class C, which has a recall outstanding. I also had some repair work (a broken driver's side mirror). General RV told me that they could handle it, and to bring the coach in. Fast forward 6 weeks - absolutely nothing has been done. They told me there were part problems, although they finally let it slip that they'd had the parts needed for the recall repair for several weeks. They did nothing. They don't return call, and even after assuring me they would complete the work, have done nothing. And the mirror? They tell me that the mirror comes in several sections, which need to be assembled, and they're not sure they can handle it. Amazing. When I finally had enough, I went to pick the unit up, and they charged me an "inspection fee" for inspecting the mirror. A blind man could see that it was broken - there was nothing to "inspect". But they wouldn't release my unit until I paid them. I guess there is one blessing in all of this. If their customer relations are this poor (failure to return calls, broken promises, lying about parts), then it's probably a good thing they didn't work on my unit. After the second visit, sales person told us not to come back on a weekend because she could have been helping someone who was ready to buy that day. Bought a 2023 Fleetwood Frontier 36SS. was supposed to be delivered, had to pick it up myself. Drove 200 miles to home then storage lot with no temp tag or tag, did not even know until storage facility ask for tag number. Could have been a big legal problem if I were to be stopped or in an accident. Could not go on planned vacation till tag and registration paperwork was complete. a month total passed from date of purchase to being able to drive it. retrieved RV from storage, started preparing it for the trip across the US from Fl to CA and back. Numerous small electronic items non functional, as well as other non electronic items. after 3 days of repairing this little thing and that little thing, I turned the refrigerator on so it could be stocked the next day before we left and 24 hrs. later no joy. I pulled the unit out tested the circuit board and it was bad, I could have ordered one, but needed to leave immediately. Removed the front passenger seat and took the unit out of the RV. I went to a Local RV store and purchased a new one on the go. FL to GA to AL to Jackson, MS. The RV went into limp mode on the interstate, tried to make it another 1/2 mile to exit but had to pull over. Sit there and rocked violently back and forth from the traffic 6 hrs. before help arrived. Turbo codes, EGR codes and sensor faults. Very expensive repair. The Diesel Pusher was not cleaned,, not serviced or checked for functionality and is only a couple years old and is a nightmare. We were told everything was in perfect working order when we purchased it online and they did a video review. They were especially proud of how cold the refrigerator was and pushed that narrative. Buyer Beware - My Experience with General RV I purchased a used 2021 Tiffin Allegro Open Road motorhome from General RV. Like most buyers, I relied on the dealership's representations that the coach had been inspected, prepared for sale, and was ready for travel. As part of the transaction, I paid approximately $4,000 for dealer preparation and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) services. Based on those charges, I expected major defects, safety concerns, and maintenance issues to have been identified and addressed before delivery. Unfortunately, my experience was very different. Shortly after taking possession of the motorhome, I discovered numerous defects and maintenance issues that I believe should have been identified during a thorough inspection. Several involved safety-related systems requiring immediate attention. Among the issues discovered were brake and taillight failures, dry-rotted windshield wipers, a malfunctioning entry step, a missing toilet seal that allowed sewer gas odors into the coach, carbon monoxide and propane detector issues, loose propane fittings, HVAC water intrusion and HVAC failure, underinflated tires, electrical system defects, rear and side camera visibility problems, and slide-out system defects. These issues raised serious concerns regarding safety, reliability, and overall roadworthiness. One of the most significant problems involved the slide-out system. When I submitted a claim to my extended warranty company, coverage was denied because the warranty provider determined the defect was a pre-existing condition that should have been identified before the vehicle was sold. This conclusion was consistent with information provided by both Tiffin and the certified repair technician who completed the repair. What made the situation even more frustrating was the difficulty I experienced obtaining answers and documentation. When I requested records showing what work had been performed during the dealer preparation and PDI process, I was initially informed that no inspection report existed. Later, I was told that inspection and preparation documents did exist but would not be provided because they were considered proprietary company records. As a customer who paid approximately $4,000 for preparation and inspection-related services, I found that response disappointing. If customers are charged substantial fees for inspection and preparation work, there should be documentation showing what was inspected, tested, repaired, serviced, or verified before delivery. Without that documentation, it is difficult to understand how so many issues could have gone unnoticed. Another concern was the amount of effort required to obtain responses. Communication was often slow, and significant follow-up was required before receiving answers. Calls, emails, and messages frequently went unanswered or required repeated contact. To General RV's credit, the company eventually reimbursed me for the slide-out repair expense. However, that reimbursement came only after more than a month of repeated communications and persistence on my part. While appreciated, it did not eliminate the frustration, inconvenience, and expense associated with addressing problems that appeared shortly after delivery. I understand that used RVs can have issues. My concern is not that defects existed, but that numerous defects appeared shortly after delivery despite substantial dealer preparation charges. The volume and nature of these problems caused me to question the effectiveness and thoroughness of the preparation process. My advice to anyone considering the purchase of a used RV from General RV: Get every promise and representation in writing. Request documentation of dealer preparation and inspection services. Personally test every system before accepting delivery. Verify the operation of slides, cameras, lights, appliances, HVAC systems, and safety devices. Terrible selling techniques. We put a deposit down and was told it would be returned if the deal didn't go through as discussed. The down payment increased and monthly payment went up by several hundred dollars a month from original discussion so deal not completed. I have attempted to get my deposit back as deal unable to completed but the Finance Manager says the Sales Manager has to issue the refunds. I purchased a brand-new 2026 Entegra Vision XL 36C for over $215,000. This was my first Class A RV, and it was supposed to be an exciting experience for my family. Instead, it has been nothing but frustration from day one. We initially visited the Dover, Florida location late in the day after looking at another dealership. The salesperson, Alicia, was kind and professional. My son immediately liked and trusted her. The RV we wanted wasn't available at that location, but Alicia sent us photos of one at the Jacksonville store, and we fell in love with it instantly. We agreed to purchase it and scheduled pickup in Jacksonville about a week later. Everyone knew about the purchase and that the RV needed to be prepared for delivery. However, when we arrived in Jacksonville on December 17, 2026, the RV was sitting in the warehouse looking like it had just been quickly washed. During the walkthrough, we immediately found multiple issues: Defect in the driver's chair Hot water heater not working Defective protective film on the front cap We were told they were waiting on parts for the water heater. After waiting three hours with no resolution, we were told to take it to Ocala since we live in Orlando and they would handle the repairs there. On the drive home from Jacksonville, we stopped at a gas station and my wife noticed a large scratch on the driver-side window. I immediately called David, the manager overseeing the walkthrough. He told me to send pictures and assured me Ocala would fix it. Days passed and I heard nothing from Ocala. I had to call them myself, and they had no idea what I was talking about. After several calls, I finally spoke with someone in service named Travis and scheduled an appointment. When I brought the RV in, Travis told me they could only fix the hot water heater and protective film at that time, and that the other issues would have to go through warranty approval. I honestly do not understand why warranty approval is my problem. I bought a brand-new RV. I shouldn't have to fight to have factory defects corrected. The RV stayed there for two days. The hot water heater was repaired, but the protective film repair was done poorly. Instead of fixing it correctly, the technician cut into the defective area and chipped the paint. On the other side, they attempted to "match" it and caused additional damage. Now the entire front cap needs repainting. To make matters worse, the $7,000 protective coating package they sold us had heavy overspray all over the RV. My son and I had to get on ladders and start cleaning it ourselves. While cleaning the roof and sides, we discovered multiple scratched windows on the side of the coach as well. At this point, my frustration was through the roof. Spending over $200,000 on a brand-new RV and discovering issue after issue is unacceptable. I immediately contacted Travis again. I also informed them that I would be leaving the country mid-January and had a planned RV trip at the end of February. I made it clear I needed these issues resolved before then. I spoke with Travis's supervisor, who promised everything would be taken care of. However, when I called for an update, I was told the warranty company did not approve the claim again, something that should not concern me as the customer. Now I'm being told the Jacksonville store has to handle the charges. When I contacted Jacksonville, I eventually reached Mike, one of the store managers. Shockingly, he had no idea about any of this and said it was the first time he was hearing about these issues. Now they are having a glass company inspect the scratched windows, and we are waiting yet again. I purchased my first Class A RV expecting quality, professionalism, and pride in the product. Instead, I have owned this RV for weeks and have not even had it at home for more than five days total due to constant service visits and unresolved defects. Buying a new RV should be exciting especially when you invest over $200,000. It should not feel like you are fighting the dealership at every step to correct problems that should have been addressed before delivery. I truly hope this gets resolved quickly, and I will update this review once I receive the window estimate and final outcome. I have been trying to get a replacement ever since...... if you ever buy an RV from General RV, consider that even their own manufacturers don't know what they put on the RVs and they can't even find replacement parts for a brand new unit.... Not only can they not find it. They don't even know what the part number or anything is..... I would never buy an RV from this place again as you will be down a long, long time just trying to get the simplest things fixed... and to add to the wounds...... unless you have good self-control I would not visit this place in person either as the customer service person at the service counter started screaming through the phone at me over and over to where I had to hang up.... I have a warranty Safety recall on my 2025 Winnebago Trovato for a faulty water heater blanket (potential fire hazard). I had to go to the dealership so that they could verify the defect (day 1 off of work). They ten set up a follow up appointment to actually fix the defective component (day 2 off of work). they called the night before to verify I was coming in for my appointment and then informed me the next day when I showed up that they didn't actually have the part. I purchased a 2021 (that was listed as a 2023) Thor Quantum kw29 about four months ago and have had nothing but issues with general since. I picked up the rig on the east coast and drove it back to St. Pete. The first issue was the screw cover on the driver side door detaching and flapping while driving. After stopping and fixing it (twice) with tape it finally held. Second, after getting it home and showing it off to friends we went to lock the door with the keys provided and the entry door key does not work! I called multiple times and waited multiple weeks to have this issue foxed and was eventually told I had to drive the rig to the Dover location to get it fixed. Its over an hour drive and just not convenient in time or gas. Next, I called (and used the form online) to make a service appointment and my call was not returned in the week so had to call back. Reason for the service - the awning arm snapped (due to rust from lack of care), broke and ripped the awning. The key still needs to be replaced, the material on the cushions in the rig started flaking and wearing away after our first use on them! When I finally reached someone to schedule a service, the woman was rude, unhelpful and I was told they only do weekdays meaning I would have to take off work and spend nearly 3-4 hours driving and wasting gas and the service per hour is $225 even though I've bought coverage. I had it narrowed down to 2 models and was ready to write the check. Total waste of time. Old man Jim was kind of a dick, high pressure salesman. He never even gave me a price on one of the models, and the price he through out on the other one was ridiculous, which included over $4,000 in dealer fees. He wouldn't let me walk out of the store with the quote. Gave me no time to process it. (I snapped a picture of it which pissed him off. LOL) I made one phone call to another dealership when I got home and got a quote on both models over the phone within 15 minutes. Side panels are blowing out, pieces of wood and pop rivets are being blown around in the bedroom from the outside air pressure. BEWARE!! We purchased our Brinkley through this General RV. We had a 5th wheel trade in that had been renovated. We sent in multiple photos of inside and outside the unit that had been requested so that they were able to see any and all customizations. A trade in value was agreed upon with Tomtree and documents were sent and signed. Once we dropped off our trade in a few days later we received a call back from Chris stating that they were unable to honor the trade in price because of the altered unit (even though they were made aware of and sent multiple pictures in detail beforehand). They dropped our trade-in price $10,000 and not willing to budge even though the error fell on them. We are still waiting on a phone call from the Corporate office that we were told we would receive regarding the whole incident. Fast forward to receiving our new unit. The customer service from Brian who did our walk-thru and Christina from the financial department was fantastic (10/10). After looking through our unit we found out that our back up camera monitor and our TPMS monitor was missing. We contacted Brinkley directly and we were told that those items were definitely sent with our unit. This means that somebody from General RV entered the RV, removed those items and did not return them to the original location. A friend of mine bought a beautiful NeXus motor home from General RV in IL. I wanted the same one. The one I wanted was in FL, Dover specifically. They promised that I could get the same deal but I would have to take delivery of it before the end of the month which was the next day. I'm in SC. I was also trading in my old RV and they said they needed to take possession of that before they could finalize the deal. So, they proposed that I drive my RV up to NC, drop it off, and they would deliver the new RV to my house to the tune of about $5,000. Ummm NO. I told them I was going to drive down that night and deliver my old RV to them. I packed up essentials, threw the dogs in the RV and drive 10 hours. I get there and the RV is not ready. I did the walk through and gave them a punch list of things I expected to be done before I left. I stayed there two days and finally told them I needed to leave. By this time, they already took possession of my old RV and did not complete much on the new one. I told them I would have my guy take care of the things that could be done. They agreed and walked away. I actually didn't know about the known gas tank issue until I was headed home. I got to Jacksonville, FL and decided to stop for gas. 4 different gas pumps and 45 minutes later!!! Yea, oh BTW it's a known issue. Ummmm no one thought of fixing it??? I circled back down the highway to the Jacksonville General RV to which they confirmed that the batteries weren't charging, and I noticed that the fridge bin was cracked and needed replacing. They took pictures of the bin and said they placed an order. They also said they would be shipping it to me directly. I arrived on Oct 31st, finalized the paperwork on Nov1st, and left Nov 2nd. They were supposed to transfer my old tag in addition to getting me missing parts to the motorhome (curtain, tie backs, mirror, fridge bin, etc.). I also realized that I overpaid for extended warranty work to the tune of $25k. They were definitely sneaky with the way they presented the warranty. Since I was hanging around the whole time waiting on them, it gave me time to really read the details of my paperwork. I requested that the extended warranty be cancelled to which they replied that I would need to sign some paperwork to get that done. In December, General RV argued that I need to pay the taxes on the new motorhome before they completed the registration transfer. I told them that in the state of SC my tag taxes are not due until August, and I called the tax assessor's office to confirm this was true. But General RV insisted that I needed to go pay the taxes regardless and provide them proof. First, they were saying I needed to pay sales taxes and not property tax and then it changed to property taxes. This in and of itself was a long-debated argument because SC has a $500 cap on sales tax for this type of sale. The tax argument started a month after the sale. They sat on the paperwork for a month. They legally had 45 days to get this completed. In the meantime, SC DMV sends me a letter stating that because I no longer have insurance on my (old) RV that I had to turn the tags in immediately or I could get fined and have my license suspended. Had the dealership done what they were supposed to do in the time in which they should have done it, this would not have been an issue. So, I had to go down to the DMV and show them everything I had to remedy that. In the meantime, someone emailed the tax assessor's office the purchase agreement. I know this because I went to pay my house property taxes and saw that the new RV taxes were listed. First of all, odd because they aren't due until August, and this concerned me that maybe the dealer requested a new plate which is not what I paid for. I called both the assessor's office and the DMV. The assessor's office could not tell me who emailed them the documentation but also told me that once the transferred plate is in the system, to call them back and they would fix it. Okay, yet another thing I have to do. I'm guessing that the dealer is trying to force me to pay the taxes now, get the receipt they want. Not happening. I also discovered through this that when the dealer bumped up the price of my RV and bumped up the price of my trade in for the same amount that it increased the amount of taxes I would be paying on the new RV. I did question this when they wanted to do this, and they said it wouldn't affect my taxes. They were incorrect. It did by several hundred dollars. As of Jan 6th (60+ days later), No registration No replacement parts No cancellation of extended warranty Dover store confirmed the Jacksonville store did not order replacement bin for the fridge This has prevented me from driving the RV anywhere. Terrible experience. Collin in the finance department was extremely pushy, offended that I would have the nerve to entertain offers from competitors. I told him exactly how to sell me the unit, gave them deposit, have excellent credit and I was hours away from signing with them but Collins fragile, baby ego was so bruised that AFTER agreeing to the deal, wined and moaned so much that after hanging up the phone, I thought...Actually I don't want to do business with this guy or this shop, Why am I doing this? My experiences was great, traded in my 2012 class C, bought new 2025 class C the whole process from sales to financing, insurance, delivery all went well (professional courteous service). After owning several RV's in past I will expect my new RV to have issues which dealers not to blame but manufacturer yes. I went to the RV Show where a salesman saw "Sucker" wrote on my face. I had no intent to purchase that day or in the near future. However, by the time we left, we had a deposit made on a brand new 5th wheel. I never wanted a new RV, nor to spend that kind of money. So how did this happen? Good "bad" salesman. I wasn't even sure after we left what "our" RV was like (after being dragged into so many). (My mistake). When we went to pick up the RV, I realized I did not want that one. The layout would never work for our lifestyle. So, I tried to get out of it. I got to the place where I said they could keep my deposit and I would walk away. Now I had their attention. After a night or so staying in the parking lot, it was decided that I could apply that deposit to a used RV. That process was also a whirlwind. I got the papers to sign and the numbers were not gone over. I "assumed" I was getting the same amount on my trade in. But, after reviewing the paperwork that evening (Mistake again) I found that my trade in value had been decreased by $5K without a word. When questioned, it was because I was no longer at the show, was purchasing a used one and they didn't have the wiggle room to give the amount decided upon. I had trusted them to do what was agreed upon and right for me. (duh). We then waited another day/night for this RV to be inspected, repaired and cleaned. I asked for the list of items that had been repaired, but was informed that that was internal information only. When it was ready to go, there was pressure to move everything from our RV to this new one and get out. They were busy and needed the 2 spots we were taking. After 4 days/3 nights we were also ready to leave. I think that the only thing that had been cleaned was the shower and the refrig. There was even a part typed to the freezer that must be for the icemaker which does not work. The final walk thru was quick and only a few things were verified. The ice maker was questioned, but informed that it had been checked over and we couldn't verify it as it was not cold. I had paid for a "finish" to be applied also, but now I am questioning whether that was done or not. There doesn't seem to be a good way to know. They did overcharge me and I confronted them. I was reimbursed to my loan. Overall, they will NEVER have my business again. read more

Take a look at just a few of the lawsuits brought against GENERAL RV (On YouTube) In our case, these people sold us a $147,000 LEMON. Brand new and broke down in upstate Florida on our way to Michigan. Coach had to be towed to ALABAMA!!! Leaving us stranded for 6 days!! Had to rent a van to drive my family and all our belongings to go pick it up. Not one but TWO cabinet doors were fell off, scratched up front end, glue all over the seats (where velcro is adhered to cushions). Springs found on the floor to the slide out, under carriage covered in oil due to the oil compartment bursting open, the door to the coach just flew open (in the locked position) striking a parked car causing damage to both vehicles!!! The sales managers are absolutely TERRIBLE and lack any communication and then condescending when actually speaking with them! Too many things to list, but buyers beware of this place!! They wouldn't let me inspect the vehicle until after their "so called" prepping. So we signed the purchase paperwork noting that some kid who goes by the name of "Angel" tried to scam us into buying nearly $60,000 worth of insurance which only covers you for 5 years!!! Definitely be aware of this scam! Sales people/managers, Trae Aiken, Dawson Nyquist and Richard Perry offered to buy back the LEMON for $95,000!!! WHAT AN INSULT!!! These coaches are going for $135K-$140K USED!!! With no expectation of getting top dollar, but COME ON, $95,000??? They want me to eat over $52K as they will end up selling it for at the very least, $135K. Laughing all the way to the bank! Don't fall for these crooked tactics. When I emailed Richard Perry (the Supposed Sales Manager) that the offer was insulting to me and my family, he simply said that I insulted HIM!!!! He then says that I "need to speak with someone else!" At the end of his email he says "GOOD LUCK!" This is not professional at ALL! He hides behind his computer writing these nasty emails just to avoid any further contact..As does Aiken and Nyquist (both of these guys supposedly hold some upper position at the store). Just salesman I could go on and on but why? I just want to make any other potential buyers aware of these unscrupulous salesman at this location. read more

Hopefully you are fixing everything since you have now had it for over 2 weeks. We will see if General RV makes things right since we bought the rig on 11/1 and 5 months later...still waiting....paying for the rig...wasting our money on protection plan and DO NOT pay extra thousand for the paint protection-doesn't work. No customer service. Repair Center breaks more things than they fix. Avoid this business at all costs. Expect to leave your unit for 8 weeks (minimum) every time you have a warranty repair. No one there cares anything about a customer experience. Run from this business. Had to give them one star because zero stars was not an option! read more

Craziest Mess that I have ever seen or heard!! They sold my friend a used RV that A) fridge door put on backwards and when fixed the door was crooked. B) The a/c filter cover on top of rv came flying off when he tried to change filter. It hit him on his head. C) All tanks were filled with filth, sewage and rancid water. D) Nothing was shown to him to know how anything is supposed to work. Failed to explain things properly. The list goes on and on, but I think you get the gist. I would write about numerous events that have occurred with General RV from February 2023 till now. Some would include: they misled me on my class B van battery setup  (would have charged me for a van I was not getting), sent me off their lot with a brand new van and a nonfunctioning solar panel (they did not even know it was not working), ignored numerous calls and text messages from me about my warranty repairs. However, this review is really about the stain they created in my van while in their lot for 5 weeks. On Aug 1st, I dropped off my van for warranty work. I cleaned the van and emptied the tanks in preparation for it to be unattended to for weeks. When I went and got my van on September 15h,  there was a large oil stain in the center of my brand-new floor. Upon seeing the stain, the service representative called over their service manager (I will not include names of individuals however I have them noted). They at first tried to clean the stain. Then they said they would lift the floor to see if the stain was from an undercarriage source. They were sorry and admitted not one of them had ever been inside my van before that day. There was another man who joined in our conversation about the stain. So now there are three men staring at the stain and me.  The service manager then went on to say, "I should focus on the work they completed and the superficial problem of the new stain". I was shocked that he would say that to me as the van was a 2023 and I purchased it for a great amount of money. So imagine me, a woman, standing alone with 3 men staring at her and they suggest that I was overreacting to this new large oil stain. I was uncomfortable, to say the least. Within 48 hours they denied responsibility for the stain. They claimed my floor mats were at fault. I told them this was not possible because I did not leave my floormat in the middle of the van (it's a doormat- meant to wipe my feet upon entering the van and therefore always at the entrance point of the van).  Plus, I have used these doormats for years in my past van and never had it left a mark. Nor did it leave a mark or stain in the 73 days I had spent in the van this past summer. They went as far as to send a picture on Aug 13th with my mats over the stains claiming my mats were at fault. I did not leave my mats in that location in fact as seen in the picture I took on September 15th, the mats are under the table that had fallen. Not near the new stain. Furthermore, recently (with van back in my driveway) I took a white cloth all over the back of the mats and no such oil or black material came from the mats.   They denied responsibility for the oil stain in the middle of my floor even though they originally admitted it and apologized. The cost to replace the flooring is 5000$. Not to mention the cut in resale value. I was treated terribly and made to feel that I was overreacting. I would never recommend anyone work with General RV. By far the worst experience after buying my NEW RV 3 weeks ago. The RV had issues including an exploding battery, AC issues and a leak. The salesman simply said "once you take posesión off the RV it is yours, you own it, I cannot help you". They sold me a 15k "60" month extended warranty that is useless the first year since they refer you back to the manufacturer, and the "camp assist" plan, don't bother since they actually charge you parts and labor. They flat out lied to get the sale and now will not stand behind the product. No wonder they have a 1.5 star rating. Really bad service for sure. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Beware of things that are too good to be true. We purchased an A-Class motorcoach from General RV Center in Tampa, Florida back in November of 2019, and it has been downhill from there ever since. First of all, the RV selection is okay, and the sales team is nice, but after you are done with them and own the coach, the service work process, or lack of it begins. On top of all that, I would recommend NEVER, and I mean NEVER buy an extended warranty for any of the interior or exterior items on the coach. You will NEVER, NEVER get what you expect regardless of what they try to sell you. SAVE YOUR MONEY. We purchased a Cornerstone 5-year extended warranty, and a warranty for the interior finishes and exterior paint and diamond bright shield on the front of the coach through Platinum Ultimate Plus Protection. That was a lot of hype from the finance manager offered it as the best thing in the world to have for a coach of this type. Well, they will try to scare you into protecting yourself, but the money I spent on the warranty has been way more than what has been submitted for repairs, and of course 90% of my warranty requests have been denied by the warranty companies, so again, SAVE YOUR MONEY, you will end up paying for the repairs yourself anyway. My best advises to any person looking to purchase an RV, unless you have lots of money to burn, stay away from false profits, and things that are too good to be true. I purchased a 2023 Thor Sequence at the end of January 2023 during the Tampa RV Supershow and needed to go back to my job in the north soon after as they worked on the repairs. I flew all the way here with my small dog using break at the beginning of March. I am very disappointed about the way that I was treated, especially by the sales manager Rick. I was being discriminated against and treated with insults, biases, and prejudice. I was insulted in any way possible and I was talked down like a child. He said, "you act like someone younger who doesn't get what you want." He repetitively said that I was being unreasonable as he thought he provided a good standard. When I said "That's your standard," he said "You are rude." It's as if in his mind, customers don't have any right to ask what they deserve. He argued that having the deep cut on the floor is okay and that I'd better get used to more damages every day from now on. When I tried to type down what he said when I felt that he was verbally abusing me, he yelled and demanded me to leave and said that I could never enter the sales building again. He also asked me to leave and never come back again to this General RV. The cut has been there originally, but he insisted that it was me or my small dog (a very mild small dog who never scratches and is with me all the time) who caused it without any proof or evidence. As a minority woman, I also have a reasonable belief that he's discriminating against me. When I said that I would put on a negative review, he even said that "America is a beautiful country. And in here you can do whatever you want." I believe that he was only saying this to me because I am an Asian single woman with an accent. I felt insulted and discriminated against as I am sure that he would not have said it to any Caucasian American customers. When I said, "Do you think that I would like to spend my vacation in your parking lot?" He said sarcastically, "I don't know about that." I think it's another insult that he is suggesting that I wanted to stay here as if I'm homeless and needed to stay in their parking lot for as long as possible. I believe that this is discrimination based on the origin of the country. Just FYI, I've only spent a few nights (3-4) in their parking lot altogether (including the initial trip in January) and have never stayed outside of their parking lot. They still don't admit that the cuts were originally there and they refused to take care of it. He even claimed that it was the manufacturer's fault and that since it is handmade, there are a lot of imperfections that I just have to accept. Since I am purchasing a brand-new Camper Van, I don't think it is reasonable to put the blame on the customer. I was intimidated by his violent demeanor and felt threatened and worried about my safety. After knowing that I was staying for the night yesterday, he said that they should not have provided another night for me at the parking lot! This company needs to train its staff so that they don't treat customers as enemies. I believe that he is discriminating against my age as an older single woman when he said that "You are acting like a younger person who doesn't get what she wants." I don't know why my age has anything to do with it and why it became a target of insult. Does he have a problem with older single women? Not to mention he was taking advantage of the fact that I am from the north (and can't stay long) and taking advantage of my minority status and my accent. I got to talk to the Operations Manage Trae and he said that he did not care a bit what review I write and even after I had share how I was discriminated against, he did not care a tiny little bit and said that it would not change any decision that they had made (not making the damages that came with the RV). In the waiting room, I also heard from another customer who was a victim of bait and switch sales tactic and she said that they would never purchase another thing from General RV. I agree. The main reason we bought from General RV (twice) was because of Brian. We purchased an Avenger 22BH in 2020 for weekend warrior trips. We fell in love and decided to upgrade a year later for long term travel. The 2020 visit was short and sweet, he listened and showed us exactly what we were looking for and we were done all in one day. When we decided to upgrade we looked at several dealerships because we had a bigger wish list this time, and wanted to know all our options, and we dealt with many sales guys. In the end, Brian had given us such a great experience the first time the rest fell short. He was still by far the most patient in showing us a variety RV's that were in our price range and had everything we needed. Where other sales guys seemed annoyed that our girls complained they were hot and tired, Brian joked with them and tried to lighten the mood and distract them from the heat by including them in the conversation of what they thought, etc. it took a total of 3 visits and countless RV's to decide on one that the whole family loved, which was the 2021 Heartland Milestone 370FLMB. The guys in the service and management were also great, so overall we had a great experience. I do hope they know what a great asset Brian is and I've suggested him to several friends and people I see post on social media asking for referrals. read more
