I paid by Zelle through our bank and received confirmation texts from the bank that the transfer had been sent. Within three minutes of completing the transaction I received a phone call from someone at the moving company. From the first moment the tone was aggressive and accusatory. He insisted the payment had not come through and said I would need to provide a debit card instead. I explained that the money had already left our account and sent the bank confirmation texts, including the initial authorization prompt. He then told me that the bank does not send texts. He continued in the same manner. I provided a reference number. He still continued. Only after I sent a screenshot from the bank app showing the funds had been withdrawn and the payment was processing did he calm down. I understand a small business needs to confirm that payment has cleared. The immediate assumption of bad faith and the persistently rude manner, even after multiple forms of proof were provided, were unnecessary and unprofessional. The moving work was acceptable. The handling of this follow-up call was not.

However recently, after waiting in Asheville for a newly constructed apartment in Tennessee that had been delayed a few times, it was suddenly ready around the end of the month/Memorial Day weekend/college student move out. Every place I called for end of month or first week of June was booked solid. Finally seeing there was a Two Men and a Truck franchise in Asheville area (Fletcher), I gave them a call and their very professional estimator was able to get me movers on my requested date, near the end of my lease. Today, I had Chris Santana and Richmond show up for my move, on time at exactly 8 a.m. Kudos to this Asheville franchisee and whoever hired Chris and Rich. They were so quick, 3 hours to load, 3 hours to unload. And a 2 hour drive to Gatlinburg. They both honestly worked equally hard, they were friendly, and they worked at a safe but quick pace. Chris wrapped every single item in a movers blanket. I have never seen this before. Usually movers will wrap my armoire, headboard, dresser or other easily scratched items. Chris even wrapped my plant stand. Everytime I saw him wrap another item and made comment on it, he would tell me they cared about protecting their customers possessions. He also offered mattress bags to protect them, and had a bin for moving large non-boxable items. I have never seen these things or been offered them at the Raleigh franchise. This Asheville team is superior. Richmond was the most polite, helpful mover. Truly kind and helped me out by saying Yes to every single thing I requested. He was delightful to speak to and really gave me the impression that he just likes helping people, which he pointed out we could all use more of in this day and age. He was exactly right. Really an example of hard work ethic, role model, great human being. My puppy, Olivia Dale, enjoyed getting his attention too. They both worked to expertly set up my furniture in my new place, with careful consideration and always checking with me for my approval before moving on to the next furniture placement. We contracted through U-Haul and two men, John and Tyrone, from Reliable Strongman Movers showed up at the apartment at the appointed time. Here in Tennessee it's rare when a service provider shows up on time, but these guys were within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. We introduced ourselves and then they went to work. And when I say "went-to-work", they were working more efficiently and faster than any previous moving helpers. (And it was a 92 degrees with 76% humidity kind of a day). John was the strategic specialist who directed and helped move every box and every item of furniture so it fit snuggly and securely, fitting it all into the U-Haul so it would not move or jiggle around in transit. They packed an entire two-bedroom apartment in just over an hour. We then drove to our storage space and they unloaded and packed the storage space in 45 minutes. These guys are GOOD! Wow! What a team! They were professional, respectful of my friend's belongings, friendly, efficient, courteous, and never once did I hear a curse word. These guys were amazing.
