She is not the first local realtor to try to buy or sell our home when it's not for sale. Makes me sick! I give her credit for apologizing but still find her tactics rude and thoughtless. She didn't do any research for me, and even tried to hide some facts about the house we bought. After all that, she still asked us to leave her a 5-star review. I didn't want to, but my husband did.. (boo!) So, when we decide to purchase a new house, I was determined to find a truly good agent. We found Dorothy through a good friend's recommendation. I am very thankful to my friend who recommended Dorothy to me!!!! That's how much I like Dorothy. The reasons why I love her: 1) Efficiency: She is always very prompt at replying calls, texts, e-mails, or any kind of inquiries. I can always get all the info I need right away. 2) Proactive: After we see a house, she will do all the follow up works immediately like comps, market info, disclosures, and all the extra things. However, she didn't make me feel pushy. She just provided all the info that I might need and have the documents ready just in case if we want to move on to make an offer. 3) Knowledgeable: Not only she is very professional in her field, she is also very knowledgeable in renovating, remodeling houses, or even building a new home because her husband is a professional at building houses. She can tell me what material is good / bad, what to use / what to avoid, and other details that I wouldn't notice. 4) Kind personality: She is very friendly and funny to work with. I always feel very comfortable touring houses with her. She is also very kind with other agents. I can tell she has a good relationship with other good agents. 5) Honesty: This is the most important factor that I love about Dorothy. She is very honest that she will go in extra miles to find out if there's any flaws in the house. There was a house that we are interested in, and she warned us that there is a hidden personal retirement home right across from the house (you can't tell from the outside). To confirm, she even called the place and pretended that she wanted to send her mother there to get the extra information from the facility (lol!). I feel I can trust her 100% when we are making the final decision. (Sometimes I feel like she is another mother of mine. That's how much I can trust her). Although Dorothy doesn't play sneaky tricks like some "aggressive" agents, she is very professional and gets her job done nicely. We were able to buy our dream house in the super competitive Palo Alto market (going against some of the toughest agents in the area, too!) and we are very thankful for Dorothy's help! She gave us many great advice to win the bidding war without playing the dirty game. Oh and one more thing to add at the end. 6) After-Care servies: Even now that we already closed and got the house, Dorothy is still there for us, helps us answering all kinds of questions related to our house / giving us referrals / etc. I am very happy with Dorothy's services, so I want to recommend her to everyone. :)

Referral Realty really earned their rating due to the move out procedures and insane lease…read moreaddendum. When we signed the lease we noticed this ridiculous clause that indicated that the tenant would be responsible for "paint touch ups" upon move out. I immediately contested because this is normal wear and tear and should not be the burden of the tenant. In my opinion, the owner and/or this company, was trying to avoid as much overhead costs as possible. Unfortunately we needed a new place stat and the agency did not budge. We had to terminate our lease early due to unexpected life changes. Dutifully, we agreed to the termination fee even though I'm the one who met with prospective tenants and arranged the tours. In my opinion, they didn't do much. (They claim the termination fee is to cover this costs) Upon move out, we were reminded of the paint. My husband did his best to paint match but as one can expect, paint is never one hundred percent matched if painting over an old paint job. They demanded that a new paint job be done and because we broke our lease and we were there less than 6 months (I.e the paint touch up clause), we'd be responsible for 100% of the charge. I have contested it but Moise has stated that we are responsible for the repaint and will be moving forward with deducting it from my deposit. I do not know the costs and did not have a chance to negotiate. I am waiting for my deposit before deciding on next steps. But I expect it to be a huge charge given their insistence to paint the entire apartment. Overall- in my opinion, this company just wants to line their pockets with our money and not pay a single dime.

DON'T BE FOOLED Nice on the outside but mold on the inside…read more I lived here for 2 years and was sick with asthma the entire time. After I moved out - no asthma. Complained about the mold which they denied. Neighbor was sick and for health reasons due to it had to break his lease, they ruined his credit. It wasn't until I packed and moved my furniture did I see the mold covering my closet wall, backside of furniture, clothes and leather purses. I got my refund check today. They had the nerve to charge for cleaning, paint and carpet cleaning I am the one they should be paying for my doctor visits, urgent care and damaged clothes. They don't care about tenants only the dollar they can get from you. Not worth the hefty price you pay for the view.
