I ordered a glass display case for $348.95. The glass display case was beautiful however, it was locked and no key came with the display case. The case was useless to me. Gems on Display is a small business that has provided custom jewelry boxes for my small business of handmade jewelry. Overall, with more than approximately 50,000 boxes we've purchased in 7 years, I found the quality of the boxes to be exceedingly of high quality. Any poor or damaged boxes were promptly replaced, as this was the responsibility of the printer Gems on Display contracts out with, and Gems on Display honored their commitment to us by making sure we had beautiful custom boxes in the amount we purchased. Customer service overall was satisfactory. Specifically, there could have been better communication regarding the timing of what day a credit card would be billed and shipment timelines. I would have appreciated more communication or transparency about when my order was being processed, where it was at in the print cycle, and when I could expect to receive the boxes. Gems on Display could exceed expectations with customer service if they put into place some minor training for employees who answer the phone. When the one taking and returning calls, speaks with enthusiasm, energy, and self assurance it would greatly increase the confidence small businesses like my own have in the company when making inquiries. Perception makes a difference, when the receptionist speaks knowledgeably or at least sounds a bit more lively, it increases trust that all is well behind the scenes. I avidly recommend Gems on Display for their printing services. The quality of their products is good, and they have a wide variety of options available to choose from. I also appreciated the fact that they were willing to work with my custom design so it best met the specific needs of my small business. oh my gosh oh my gosh OHMYGOSH! I just had to jump on yelp immediately and write a glowing review for the wonderful family owned and operated business, Gems on Display. 29-star rating if I could! My new display pieces for my small side-business with Stella & Dot just arrived to my door and I am beyond impressed. This review is bubbling out of me. I can't wait to share my stellar experience with Gems on Display with you! THE PROBLEM: I needed really elegant trays, ring stands, bracelet bars, and the like. Although the jewelry sells itself, you do kinda sorta need a place to set it up and make it look good when you're in someone's home! When I discovered the $8.95 shipping for every order under $100, I decided to go a little crazy with my order, and get something for my bedroom as well. The prices are so rock-bottom on this website that there was NO WAY I was going to get my order up to $100. However, the burlap bracelet bar I wanted for my dresser in my room was sold out. I kept my eye on the website for a week and it remained sold out. Finally I just went ahead and placed my order, writing in the "comments" section that I would really appreciate an email when the burlap bracelet bar comes back in stock because I've been waiting to order and I don't want to pay another $8.95 in shipping. I figured my business is more important than my personal desires and I should just go ahead and place my order. THE SOLUTION: I heard back from a lovely woman the very next day. She told me the bar I wanted would be back in stock in 2 days, and if I wanted she would hold off shipping until they could pack it also, and then ship everything together. Wow! Yes I do want that! And thank you for reading my note in the 'comments' section and actually paying attention! Holy smokes. THE HAPPY LIZ DANCE: So here I am unwrapping the items from my very large box. Packed in plain brown paper, underneath bubble wrap, underneath plastic wrapping covering each piece. So I say Amazon.com, eat your heart out, because Amazon's display items are TRIPLE the price and they arrive bruised and abused in paper-thin packaging. Gems on Display does it elegantly and well! All told I spent under $60 (shipping included) and I received 6 white trays with burlap liners, a single long bracelet bar and a double T-bar for bracelets and necklaces, a white leatherette ring display and 5 burlap earring stands. Stella & Dot also sells display pieces, but they are absurd: only 5 trays for $40. Gems on Display saved my pocketbook and helped my business, and I will be re-ordering full busts for necklaces as I continue to make some sales (I have a few folding necklace stands right now, but those simply won't do in the future when I'm a star stylist.) The prices are so reasonable on the website, I was actually doing a comparison between what Gems offered and what Amazon or Stella offered (the exact same thing at double or triple the price). There is NO comparison! Wonderful customer service, safe and generous packaging, fast shipping, and low prices. Ahhh I'm so glad I found you, Gems, I'll name my first born after you or something. They sold me merchandise they didn't have in stock, waited 2 weeks to let me know about it, promised to have the merchandise within days, didn't follow up, they no longer have an ETA for the product I ordered and now it's too late for me to order from anyone else because we are too close to Christmas, the incompetence managing their own inventory and communicating with customers is insane! read more

I just had the most awful experience with this company and just got off the phone with a "manager" who didn't care that I was going to leave a bad review of the company after I told her so. The quality of the display items is terrible! I am returning all but two items from my order if that tells you anything. Here's my problem which I explained to the manager who seemed indifferent. I received jewelry trays that won't stack on top of my existing trays I have already which are from a variety of companies but for whatever reason these trays don't stack with them and if anything one came damaged with a huge crack. The white leatherette ramp I ordered was poorly made with an extra slick surface and an elastic band that will hold nothing put behind it so you are basically buying a slide for your jewelry. Underneath the ramp is just visible signs of glue bumps from pasting together whatever material was sealed on top. The linen pads are not as pictured online and differ in color and quality they are horrible to see in person and again, don't match with any linen pads I have ordered from a variety of companies in the past. The bracelet pillows are SO thin its almost embarrassing and the acrylic stands I purchased to hold them up fall over when you put actual jewelry on the pillows. AND to make matters worse I called in about my issues and the manager just kept cutting me off to tell me to return the items and that I have to pay the postage. There are a lot of items I'm returning so the postage will be more than the $9 I already paid to have these items sent to my house in the first place! When I told her this she just said to try the post office and see if they are the cheapest to ship. I am in network with over 6,000 designers in my direct sales business and I will be letting all of them know to never buy from this company with poor quality and terrible compassion for customers. read more
