Incredibly sweet, fun to be around & accommodating. I was referred by my sister-in-law, who like me, will only trust our skin with Christina. My first couple visits were for spray tans, which were perfect. Very natural looking. They give me confidence in the summer to show-off my legs. The sessions are timely & comfortable. She is thorough drying me off, making sure the spray doesn't stain my feet, hands and nails. I never leave feeling that tackiness most spray tans can leave you with all day. I am able to put my clothes on and go about my day! Not only does Christina excel in spray tans, but she gives the best & most relaxing facials. The only issue I had was I couldn't stay & sleep--since I was incredibly relaxed. My skin felt years younger. The products she uses are medical grade too. I am a creator of custom jewelry and fine art and I sell my creations face to face at conventions. We were taken back right away. We were excited as the salon is new and beautiful. A woman took my daughter back and she came out with well done brows. Turns out her technician was the owner. I got up to go in and another lady came for me. Kelsey. As she waxed me she explained that she was from Hair Cuttery and that she had only been cutting hair for 2 years. She said the owners knew her mother and brought her in to cut hair. I was unsure why she was waxing my eyebrows if she was a stylist and tbh I wouldn't let anyone at hair cuttery touch my eyebrows. Honestly that's why I come to a nail Salon. I was not used to being waxed so long but I tried to be hopeful. When she finished and showed me the mirror I could see the hole in my eyebrow. I could also see the redness all around my eyebrows, and I instantly knew this was a fail. I wanted to leave immediately. I didn't want her to touch anything else so I got up we paid walked out to the parking lot and I got a better look at my eyebrows. It was awful and my face was so sore. I knew I was going to have to face my customers so my daughter suggested I go in and talk to the owner who did hers and see if she could fix it. The owner took me back and cleaned it up as best she could. She told me that when I came back for eyebrows to specifically ask for her and that's where this would have ended, and I would've given three stars and said the management was great. However, all weekend, long my skin on my eyelid seeped and scabs formed because so much skin had been removed as she kept going in and waxing and waxing and waxing. My eye was puffy and stung awfully. I had to answer "oh my what happened to your eye" about 300 times over the course of my convention. I was livid and as soon as I got back into town on Monday, I went to the salon and the ladies there looked at my eye, took pictures of it, and said that I should come back the next day and talk to the owner. The ladies, they all asked me who did my eyebrows and when I told them Kelsey, they acted un surprised. I did go back the next day and that's where this salon got one star. The owner, whose name is Tina, saw my eye now in person and she had the pictures of it. She told me to put Neosporin on it and that was it. She did not apologize. She did not offer me my money back. She did not try to make it right at all. She simply acted like she wanted me to leave more than anything. There were other customers there, and her biggest concern was them not hearing what we were talking about. This convention for me, was a place to meet my customers face-to-face. To leave a lasting impression that I only get to make one time. What if I was a bride??? What if in all my wedding pics I had scabs on my eye? To show no sympathy or care at all?? I am very disappointed as I was so looking forward to having this place to visit, but I will continue to drive into Fredericksburg rather than risk permanent scarring on my eyelids. Kelsey should never be allowed to touch wax again. I really hope that they keep her cutting hair and not maiming people. Awful. I was also kind of surprised there was only one barber and about six barber chairs. Then, the smell of feces hit me. It was a very strong pungent odor. As I hoped it wasn't actual feces, I thought maybe there was a plumbing problem causing the odor. My haircut took roughly eight minutes. The barber made no effort to layer or use scissors to do a better job. She was rather quiet and seemed to be unhappy with her line of work. When she was done, she grabbed a hot towel and put it on my neck and began massaging it. It felt great, but then I noticed a foul smell coming from the towel as if this towel had been used multiple times. It had that "this towel really needs to be washed smell!" My wife did not have to wait long, but as she sat on the couch she noticed a lot of food scattered about the floor and on the couch. It was not at all a clean facility. She dared to use the restroom and she wished she hadn't. It was absolutely filthy. We were so upset that we ever stepped foot into the Barber Shop. We were so disgusted, so much so, that we both took showers upon getting home. Next time, I will opt for risking my life at Sweeney Todd's Barber Shop before coming here!

The equipment is sterilized and the actual foot baths are cleaned between clients. Secondly, the team is attentive and well-skilled. Many of the employees today were employees who worked under the original owner, Thu. Even though Divine Nails is under different ownership, you can tell that the current owners care just as deeply as the original owners, thus preserving the integrity of this Locust Grove staple. Not only do I feel welcome in this salon, I feel confident that the employees care about my experience and more importantly, my foot health. I am writing this long-awaited review because I was shocked to see how empty the salon was on a Sunday afternoon. This company deserves support and love! Please book with any of the technicians; they are all exceptional in their own ways. P.S. Tip the employees well. I frequently see $5 and $10 tips or worse zero tips at all.
