Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Gemini. The service was great and our waiter was very helpful with any questions we had on the menu. I also appreciate that they will customize your menu with your name for a special occasion. We got the crispy brussel sprouts, warmer Parker house rolls, burrata crostini, Berkshire pork chop and the Gemini burger. I've passed by Gemini many times and finally had a chance to check it out. The outdoor space was really nice and staff was friendly. The food was fine but I would probably not rush to come back as nothing really stood out to me. Th potatoes were really dry and not very flavorful, the sandwich was ok but a bit salty/soggy. TL; DR: Reservations for weekend brunch, boozy brunch seems like a good deal Service was a little iffy since we had a reservation and had to wait an extra 20 minutes for a spot. Once we sat down, the waiters were great though. The pastry trio is a great way to share with the table, but the cinnamon roll was a little dry. The Lincoln Park Turkey Club was a great sandwich and actually has 3 pieces of bread instead of 2. The French fries were great for a side too. It was my first time at Gemini and I had an amazing time. Service was fabulous. our server was so attentive, sweet, and informative. I ordered carry out and the food was ready when I got there. I had ordered several dairy sauces on the side because I was eating with someone who can't eat dairy. I was very impressed that the menu listed about seven different allergens so it was very easy to tell what had soy, or dairy, or gluten or onions. I love coming to Gemini! This restaurant has great food, drinks, and service. I love sitting at the bar, but most nights it is crowded - so get there early! I do wish they had more seating options for larger groups. I once went with a group of 8 adults and we sat in a half booth and were mildly uncomfortable. My updated review is for Gemini's Restaurant Week dinner. I went to 2 other restaurants during restaurant week and Gemini's was the best by far! We received FULL portion sizes (many places serve half/partial portions during RW) and each dish was delicious and seasoned perfectly. I look forward to dining at Gemini again soon! read more

Excellent spot for happy hour. I like that the bar setting is expansive and there are no big tvs blaring. The beef sliders and vodka martini with blue cheese olives that I ordered were stellar. Service was efficient, giving me the opportunity to enjoy this libation and bite to eat before attending a lecture nearby that evening. The modern interior is inviting and being able to watch the world go by from my perch at the bar is icing on the cake, so to speak. read more

We stopped by here to meet some friends for drinks and it was the perfect atmosphere. We wanted to find a cocktail bar, but a lot of the bars in the area weren't open in the early afternoon, so we decided to check out Gemini. We were able to grab seats at the bar and were serviced right away. The cocktail menu was a little bit on the smaller side but the bartender provided multiple recommendations based on my usual drink picks. I had a spicy margarita that had a great balance of spice and flavor. Everyone in our group enjoyed their drinks, and we didn't get food so I can't speak to that but it looked great when it came out to others seated at the bar. My ahi tuna entree was good. My friend enjoyed her fish special - the walleye. Husband had the special of the night , beef stew , which was decent ( wouldn't recommend that entree ) . Our friend enjoyed his burger and truffle fries. All and all a solid choice if looking for classic American food and want to stay in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Brought my parents here for dinner. The menu is small but everything we ordered was amazing. You can tell they take pride in their ingredients and presentation. Service was a little slow although we came later in the evening on a weekday so everyone may have been tired from the rush earlier. At night this restaurant is dark and moody with minimal seating. We had the parker house rolls (yum), amazing wedge salad, and then split the ahi tuna tataki (one of the best dishes at any restaurant anywhere according to my husband) and had the special short rib (prepared with chimichurri & feta). The food was very good but the highlight was the bottomless drinks because you can alternate between a ton of options which is rare. BRUNCH REVIEW: We think Gemini has great food! We came for brunch with a group of seven on Sunday. It was pretty busy, so I do recommend a reservation if possible. The lunch menu is fairly limited but we do enjoy the bottomless brunch option. We got the warm rolls and prosciutto and burrata crostini as appetizers. I think they were tasty but a little underwhelming. The burrata had honey drizzled on it and was a bit on the sweet side. While we weren't overly impressed with the appetizers, the burger and spicy chicken sandwich were both fantastic. Both options are outstanding and very flavorful. I am not a huge spice person, but the sandwich is not too spicy and hits just the spot. Ambiance is nice for an intimate date or small group. Service was a little slow, but I'm not sure if it was just because brunch was busy. I personally feel that they are overpriced for what they offer. I would come back and try dinner, just wouldn't expect it to be a cheap night by any means. read more

My twin sister and I visited here for our birthday brunch celebration and had a lovely time. They reached out prior to our reservation and asked if we were celebrating anything, and when we showed up, we had personalized menus! Chris was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable time. He was funny and informative and even comped a couple of our breakfast danishes for our birthday. What a cute little corner spot in Lincoln Park! I didn't even know it existed until a friend suggested we go there for dinner after work. And to find out it's from the same restaurant group as Coda di Volpe which I love! Anyways, we had a lovely meal. The mussels were delicious in the garlic butter sauce and my steak frites were tasty. I regret not upgrading to the truffle fries. For dessert we had the cookie skillet, which, as a warm chocolate chip cookie and ice cream, is hard to beat. Attended a Sunday brunch with a large group. Waitstaff was very accommodating given the group size and the different arrival times of each of the guests. Felt that we were met with kindness, patience and understanding. Unfortunately however, the food was very bland. Extremely disappointing. Had to wait for the rain to stop before we could go back to our table to eat - place was full so very little options. Staff was quick to fix this issue by wiping off the table and chairs of water after the rain stopped 15 min later. Staff was apologetic about the situation.
