I just moved to the area a week ago and wanted to treat myself on my only day off. I found this place through TikTok, and after comparing reviews online, it seemed like the best option. They close at 5 PM, but I called ahead to see if I could squeeze in a pedicure at 4:30. They were super friendly and welcoming over the phone and in-person. They got me in without any issue, which I much appreciate. It means a lot. Sarah did a great job on my toes. She's also amazing with leg massages, which is my favorite part of getting a pedi. I didn't have Amy, but I watched her working on someone next to me and her attention to detail really stood out. I'd recommend either of them. One small note: I would've liked my toenails shaped a bit more square and straight, but I understand that can be tricky depending on the natural shape of your nails. Honestly, it seems almost impossible unless you're getting acrylics on your toes. I also noticed for the callus removal, they only used the callus sponge and not the scraper. I personally prefer both as the scraper gets most of the dead skin off (which is actually my second favorite part of a pedi!), and the sponge is great for smoothing out what the scraper missed. I would've really loved that extra step in the service. Overall though, still a great experience, and I'll definitely be back to try the jelly pedicure next time! read more

Ok, this is my 3rd time here and the disappointment is high! First let me say, if you get gels or nail art, they are good. However, for regular manicures...HORRID!!! Every manicure here has been a nightmare. This last time with Mia was the worst. I bring my own polish...Chanel...and they cannot seem to paint well. I have used my polish at other places with no problem! I do not know why they cannot do a good job. And this last time, she didn't even use a base coat and my color is a dark red which means it is going to bleed through my natural nail. I will not be returning!!! read more

What an incredible salon! I had an emergency scare, gallbladder. First time and was in the ER. My current nail tech charged me $30 in order to book again because I had to cancel the day of. I had already paid $25 to book. I book weeks in advance. I paid a total of $55 for no nails because I was in the ER. I never would have cancelled my appt, but that time I had to. A few days later, feeling much better, I booked online at Gem nail & spa with Mia. How precious are these nail techs? They go ABOVE and BEYOND for their customers. Cathy was my nail specialist and was kind and professional. I had a dipped manicure with oval tips. Cathy was so kind and helpful. My girlfriend came home in tears after visiting this spa. I'm livid, I haven't even calmed down enough to make a call to ask for a refund. She's been growing out her natural nails for a long time, goes in and immediately they cut them off, not what she asked for, and after trying to be nice and hoping it went well the lady working on her got half way done before noticing a regular or something and rushing to finish. The underside of her now very short nails are dry and irritated, the shape isn't at all what she usually gets or wants and extra was charged for replacing the tips of her natural nails she didn't even want cut, and all this for 60$. 60$ and she's home in tears before her birthday. Money don't fix that. This is the second time she's gone and the first time she was hoping it was a fluke, but never again. This place consistently doesn't listen, doesn't deliver on what's asked for, charges extra for their mistakes, and seems to completely disregard newcomers in favor of regulars. Probably people who like getting the 'chefs special' and don't care about getting anything they want done. I don't know much about nails or salons, but I think the fact my girlfriend came home sobbing is truly damning. Shame on you. read more

I've been coming here for 3 years- and I see Hannah. I feel welcomed every time I come, and Hannah is incredible at what she does. I get the dip, she doesn't do it too thick, and it's always perfect. I like my neutrals, but if you need any fun designs, Hannah can also do them! Anytime I try and stray away and do something out of my comfort zone she kills it. My wife has been here 3 times now and the last two times has been horrendous. She saw Hannah the first time because the reviews were positive with her. The last two times I set up an appt for her I was told Hannah didn't work. However, Hannah was at the salon walking around both times she came back. Linda was the person who did her nails. First of all, if you can't communicate with your client you shouldn't be working there. My wife ask Linda multiple times to do her nails a certain way and she just kept saying "OK" and proceeding on with what she was doing ignoring my wife. She also caused several cuts in her skin because she didn't know how to properly use the tool she was using. This is unacceptable on many levels. She will be going somewhere else next time. we will find another salon who cares about the clients needs and wants. read more

My name is Denise Brazell. I've been coming to Gem for it seems like about two years yesterday I went and had Hannah do my fingernails and another did my toenails Hannah is my go to person. She is very good at what she does. I thought I liked my fingernails and then when I came home, my husband said my hands look dead so I called back. They said sure she'll take care of you. She will fix it. I came in. She said it's gonna be $20 to redo and five dollars for the powder for the chrome powder was not real happy trying to be. So I paid 127 for my toenails and my fingernails plus $20 tip for Hannah and a seven dollar tip for the girl with my toenails. Then when I went back up there. Me $25 to change the polish when been up there and I told the receptionist I would not be tell Hannah that I don't know what happened. Hannah's always been very nice to me. The girls always chat in Vietnamese. I don't know what they're chatting about, but it to be a lot of chatter, but I still go because I like Hannah I don't know what happened today. I had high hopes for this salon, but was disappointed after my experience. I had an appointment for a pedicure and a gel manicure. Even with an appointment, I waited 40 minutes after my pedicure was done and then left because I was not even close to getting a manicure. I was there for two hours and only got one of the services I went for. It's not cool that they overbooked. The pedicure itself was nice. The salon was clean and products were good quality. read more

I really want to give this place 5 stars because they're all so nice. But each time I've gotten dip at this location, it only lasts about a week without chipping. And normally I can go two to three weeks. Also, my nails seem to be quite a bit messy each time because it feels like they're so busy that they're trying to rush it. I went here to get my nails done 3 times. The first time was in mid-June. I got a full set, I got a fill 2 weeks later. I went in yesterday to get a fill & since my nails had grown out I wanted to remove the acrylics and just do dip powder on my naturals nails. As they were removing the acrylics, I noticed a dark spot on my nails. It was fungus. The nail tech told me it was due to the nail being broken and water getting under the acrylic. But I had only had these nails on for a total of 4 weeks and the last time(2 weeks ago) I didn't notice anything. I'm sure the moisture didn't help, but I also think they are not sanitizing their tools properly. The nail tech who removed my nails put the tools that she used on my nail with fungus back in her drawer and didn't sanitize them at all! The glass jar that holds the brushes by the sinks also was a light blue color & barbicide is suppose to be a dark blue color. I don't think they are following proper sanitizing & cleaning procedures. I've been getting my nails done for over 10 years and never had this happen! read more

Having a baby in a few days, decided to get my nails done to pamper myself. Got ombré nails, price listed is "40 and up". So, when they charged $55 and couldn't explain the "and up" part, I knew that would be my last time there. Not to mention the fact that I got the most basic pedicure they offer (the Crystal) which is supposed to be $26. That turned into a $31 pedicure, and I didn't even get gel polish. It was done by one of the younger women who I guess doesn't know how to do pedicures because she needed help throughout the process and I would post a pic of my toes but honey, you do not want to see them. Shop was not busy; it was the afternoon of Halloween. My sister & I were the only ones there for about an hour and 15 minutes. Decided to pay with cash since they had a sign stating that they wanted customers to pay with either cash or check due to their credit card machine "charging extra fees." When my sister asked what the fee was, Julie said she did not know (once again, no explanation for anything). So, we withdrew money from their ATM instead, the ATM fee posted was $1.00. Next thing you know, a random extra $2.50 is taken out on top of the $1.00 fee. I spent $84.50 here and my sister spent even more than that on nails that truly can be done elsewhere for a more reasonable price with an upfront explanation for that price. SO. If you are wanting your nails done with a solid explanation for what you are paying for and why it is that price, skip this shop. Never, ever again. read more
