Seen this gelato place everywhere in Sydney and eventually decided to give it a try. It's actually really good! Wish I had tried it sooner!

Trio is a cute cafe located in the heart of Bondi Beach. They have indoor and outdoor seating, if…read moreyou can snag a seat outside. It's got a nice little view of the ocean. They have a killer breakfast menu that's served all day. Took my family here when they were visiting from the states. We ordered the Mediterranean breakfast which came with poached eggs with truffle oil on olive sourdough, served with char-grilled haloumi, crispy pancetta, semi-dried tomatoes, spinach & chorizo! Very delicious, I highly recommend. We also ordered the trio tasting plate so we could have a little bit of everything. My husband ordered the shakshouka (middle eastern breakfast) it was ok, we were expecting more from this dish, it was a bit bland. They offer some great coffee! If you're in the mood for some booze, they offer some great cocktails, beer, and wine. The staff are friendly and the place is always packed. I would recommend making a reso before you show up.

It was a busy Sunday afternoon but we accepted the 1 hr wait and boy was is worth it! The food was amazing!!! I had the brunch breakfast burrito and being a Cali girl it was hard to order because you know all the awesome Mexican food is in SoCal :D if not Mexico, it was so yum! My breakfast burrito was deconstructed and delicious. Look at my photos, the burrito included chorizo cooked fancy, spiced up perfectly scrambled eggs and flour tortillas (or corn tortillas). I also had a bit of my aunty's white truffle oil scramble eggs WOW! I will never be able to eat normal scrambled eggs again! We will definitely return before we leave Australia! I forgot to mention how wonderful and helpful the waitresses and hostess are! My apologies for the multiple updates as my international cellphone and wireless connection at our temp home was acting up.

Seeking a bit of fuel before an afternoon Bondi to Coogee walk, I stopped in at Harry's having…read moreheard particularly good things about their hotcake - I wasn't disappointed. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? The service at Harry's isn't what I would define as particularly warm, but the atmosphere is more than enough to build into a fond memory. I appreciated that, clear as day, there was a 20 minute + warning tied to the hotcake on the menu, so I was ready when that's almost exactly how long it took. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $16.50 AUD for what was a well portioned hotcake absolutely covered in berries and cream was reasonable, and the rest of the menu was priced comparably. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Before I get onto the specifics of the food shout out to what was a stellar $5.00 Latte that powered me through what would be my several mile walk to Coogee. From there, this was a very strong hotcake. The way it was grilled gave it a stellar sort of sugary and flavorful crust on the bottom that was memorable, and the berries and cream came together in a way that made it as much a dessert as a breakfast. Two Stars. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? I fully understand why Harry's is known as a must-visit in and around Bondi. Star.

Ingredients are so fresh. We added a cacao smoothie at the end and it was perfect. The service was impeccable - kind, efficient, friendly. The vibe inside was like a cafe but it's a "deli". It was a weekday late morning and we could tell this place must be good because there were so many people! But we were able to get a table quickly. We both ordered the banana maple hazelnut ricotta french toast and it was to die for. I also ordered the hash browns, which are not done justice on the menu where they are just described as "hash." They're these wonderfully crispy little nests of potato with green onion mixed in. So good. My only knock is that I ordered a cold brew right off the bat and I never got it until I asked for it again after our breakfast arrived. The server didn't bring any cream with it to the table and she dropped it off too fast for me to realize and ask. But perhaps that's just a custom thing and they don't do cream in cold brew in Australia? Either way, not a big deal.
