Not only the best in the SBBC South Bay Beach Cities... Not only "one of", if not THE best in the Metropolitan Los Angeles So Cal area... but is highly recommended in all of California, the United States, the plant we call Earth and the Universe and Galaxy !!! What could make Handel's better??? Expand locations for convenience. Of course the usual x-factors of easy parking, no-wait short lines quick to serve, indoor ice cream parlor seating and the less-than-justified "lower prices, bigger portions" argument everyone has with every food vendor that exists... BUT truth be told, one of the reasons why I rank Handel's so high is the "Value" of the pricing and quantity compared to their peers competition along with the quality.

Far more efficient than each customer asking what each flavor is. PLUS I was in the mood for something chocolate so rather than guessing what could maybe be chocolate and asking about it, I was able to read and come to a decision before it was my turn. This location is closer so I guess if I want it I'll just have to endure.

The place has this classic ice cream shop feel with pastel aesthetics mixed into a modern clean vibe which mixes practicality with style. I LOVE the glass panel decoration and the front decor which are simple details yet convenient decoration. The options have an interesting range in diversity, from ice cream and drinks. Their combinations are so unique, blending trendy flavors like matcha, honey, and many more delicious flavors. My favorite flavor I have tried so far, was the Dalgona Affogato--which I picked because I was thinking of the squid games. The dessert was so smooth but the honey was slightly overbearing. If that is not to your preference, they have other options that can certainly fit to your taste buds. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and an excellent treat in this summer weather. The honey crisps placed on top of the ice were so little, which I wished they had a bit more since it tasted so good with the smooth ice cream. Another thing I hoped was for the affogato to be a bit bigger portion. But then again, I am unsure about the sizings of affogato since this is my first time trying it. Thank you Honeymee Gardena for the experiance, hoping to try more in the future. (Update: Making this edit because I accidentally spelled the cafe name wrong in my previous review which I apologize for. The typo was made because when I was writing the review, I was also very busy so I wrote everything in a hurry and wasn't able to make changes. And yes, this update took so long to be made because when I write reviews, especially in this case, I often do different reviews all at once.)

Hand packed quart: I love that this is $15/16. In a world where pints are edging closer to $13, it's nice to still know a place that rewards you when buying more from them. I like how the ice cream looks soft enough off the scooping area that the person hand packing the quart can do it relatively quickly. Chocolate: I think it's above average, but I won't question it if you think that it's just fine. Chocolate for me has always been about finding that line of "not too sweet" and finding that hint of bitterness to get you down from that sugary high. I feel that this place finds that balance well. Ambiance: The place is dated, borderline vintage. I think they should lean into it, and I think they do. Service: Professional, quick, and what you want when buying dessert. Yes, there is a line, but it runs pretty quickly.

The young lady helping us was very patient while we tried to narrow down our ice choices. She gave recommendations and let us sample a few different flavors. Unfortunately, it didn't hit the spot. They have tons of flavors to choose from, but the ones I sampled weren't really to my liking. I decided to make an ice cream sandwich with two chocolate chip cookies and banana chip ice cream. Cute spot with lots of options, but the ice cream itself was a miss for me this time.

Love the natural flavors from real strawberries. No artificial tastes here! Midnight Mugicha - choco barley Wow, how do I describe this! The flavors from both the chocolate and barley are rich, and they complement each other so well! I would get a pint if I could! (Tried this last week when they only had scoops). Get the pint today if you can!! Houjicha - roasted green tea The roasted green tea flavor is so lovely! The perfect tea-flavored ice cream! This is for all the tea lovers (tried this last week when there was a limited amount available, scoops only) All the flavors here are not too sweet. If you love ice cream that is sweeter, definitely try Mr. Universal and Hokey Pokey (honeycomb toffee)! I love that they change up the flavors weekly while keeping some timeless favorites on the menu permanently. I tried their cold brew coffee for the first time. I'm not a black coffee drinker, so I ended up adding milk when I got home. It was very good and the coffee taste was still strong after I added milk. 5 star service as always!! Everything is so clean inside and there are tables and chairs inside as well as a bench outside. There are also some table games you can play with family or friends. Love that they also feature different independent artists in their stores with print available for purchase.

There were 2 people visibly working and the one at the counter was cleaning the display case for a noticeably long time before acknowledging me at the register. I purchased a pint of their Hokey Pokey and it was my first pick dessert for the days after. It was the right amount of sweetness, but the ice cream did have some icy bits. The main reason that I am giving Kansha a 3 instead of a 4 is because its so difficult to actually go to this ice cream shop. Their house are a little after noon and by 6:30 (even on Saturdays.) On Sundays, they are closed.

I also asked to sample a couple of other flavors since the item we originally wanted was supposedly unavailable, and her attitude made the whole interaction even more uncomfortable. I completely understand that places run out of items and employees can have difficult days, but this didn't seem to be an availability issue when other customers were being served the exact same thing.
