You can drop in to certain classes and buy blocks of passes - A few times per year, those class blocks are heavily discounted, like 20 for $100. That's right -- classes get as low as $5 per! - First class free! - Something for everyone, and at every fitness level. Bootcamp, spin, barre, drum core (yes, that's real), TRX, boxing, Zumba, core, cardio... you name it, DiHard has a class for it! - A *true* no judgement zone. We work out, we sing along with the radio, dance, laugh, cheer each other on, lay on the floor and refuse to get up, or none of the above. Or all of the above! DiHard quickly becomes a community to anyone who goes. - There's a Facebook group. It's like a free 24/7 accountability coach and motivator. - There are fun competitions, like Biggest Loser, events, like the charity spin ride, and packages available throughout the year - The owner, Diane, looks like she's 28. She's not... but the proof is in the pudding my friends! BeFit limits the class to 15 people with 2 instructors. It is like personal training outside. They push you to your fullest potential and when you think you just can't do another rep, they are there to encourage you to keep going. I am running the fastest and furthest I have even run. I am lifting the heaviest weights and completing the most reps ever all because of the training I have been getting at BeFit! Not too mention I have lost 6lbs and 8.25 inches in 6 weeks, going to BeFit boot camp 3-4 days a week. I look forward to every workout, it is always new and challenging! I went to Coach Holly feeling very defeated, letting her know I quit everything I try typically (gyms, bootcamps, running, etc.). After my consultation, I knew it was the right fit. I commited to 3x a week and by week 3 I was noticing HUGE success. I'm getting stronger, fitter and healthier. Coach Holly and Coach Jane are extremely motivating and make you work hard and refuse to let you quit......tough love, exactly what I need. There are times I think I cannot do another rep, etc. and they support they give is amazing, it keeps me going. Every class is great and I look forward to going, not once have I wanted to skip. That says a lot. especially with my past history of quitting things. I can't even imagine my life without BeFit now. I'm on a road to a new healthy, stronger me for myself and my family. I've lost 6 inches already and have gained muscle. The weight is now starting to come off because I'm really working hard at my eating habits too. They have several programs you can try, I just signed up for a BeFit 30 Day weight loss program, I'm pumped. There are nutrition classes, running classes for beginners and marathoners. If you email Coach Holly or Coach Jane with any questions or concerns, they get back you you very quickly. I can't emphasize enough how dedicated they are as coaches and how they sincerely care about each and every clients well being and success. I think that says it all...TD Athletics has apparently become the epicenter of my universe! I am in late middle age, and have struggled with chronic illness for almost a decade. It'd gotten to the point where any exercise I engaged in, supervised by a professional or not, quickly ended in fairly substantial injury. For example, a Gentle Yoga class about 18 months ago caused a painful shoulder injury that lasted over a year. About ten months ago, my physical therapist told me about TD Athletics, and I've been going three times a week ever since. I've worked with personal trainers many times over the years, and these guys are absolutely the best. They are really skilled, helping me tweak my workouts so I don't get hurt. They design evolving, truly personalized workouts that keep me interested and challenged. The environment is extremely positive, and even though I was very deconditioned when I started, they've treated me with great respect and constant encouragement. I am feeling much stronger and able to more easily do basic tasks and activities that were a challenge for me before I started. Also, though not explicitly endorsing HAES, their approach is size-neutral- I'm in a larger body and feel really comfortable there. I can't say enough good things about these guys, and particularly encourage folks who have not had a good experience at other gyms to check them out, you won't regret it.

I was truly sorry that this approach did not work for me as I would love to have continued. Regrettably I'm still rehabbing an injury with PT & pain management after 5 months that happened at this gym. Plus the additional knock-on effects to ongoing conditions. My advice to others who are older with either injuries or have a chronic health condition like myself, is to ensure that the team speaks to your doctor, physical therapist, chiropractor or prior trainers to ensure there is a transfer of critical knowledge to minimize or avoid the potential for additional injuries. While they have many adaptations to exercises, without input from these professionals in my case this was not adequate. The extra information would have added important insights. A great gym if the philosophy and approach is a fit for you. If I could figure out how to give three and a half stars on Yelp that is what I would be do!

No matter how motivated I thought I was I did not have the discipline to stick with the gym. Due to the accountability factor, GISFW in Beverly MA has totally been helping get me back into better shape and a healthier lifestyle. The environment is super comfortable and supportive. TIM is by far and away the superior trainer and I highly recommend starting with him. He is ultra aware of proper posture, sensitive to individual needs, and can have the same effect as a physical therapist. The gym is really pricy, but I found it worth it. The least effective aspect of the program is with the nutrition portion. Although there are some resources available, there isn't a well defined program to follow. They say they are available to talk with clients regarding nutrition, but I think sit downs should be regulated and mandatory for the fee you are paying (personally). My recommendations: 1. Do not sign up for any less than the 6 month plan 2. Schedule as many sessions as you can with Tim 3. Take advantage of the free scoops of protein powder they offer (dat shit ain't cheap neither)
