We only had one issue: We had the straps on my daughter's dress shortened and near the end of the reception, the stitching gave out. We had to safety pin it for the last hour. That being said, she was dancing like crazy and running wild for the whole night in a formal dress, so she def wasn't going easy on it :) Overall, better value than going to the big dress shops. Maybe not as fun of an "experience" as going to the bridal shop, but when the wedding budget is stretched to the max, saving money here can be a lifesaver!

I think he was helping out his father Juan who is always overly busy when I go there. So this was on a Friday, and I asked about Monday and Raphael said Tuesday. He does good work, but he does not have the best customer skills. Which really doesn't bother me since I worked in the building trades and people said all sorts of things to me and that's fine that doesn't bother me. So I show up Wednesday and Juan is searching all over for my garment and he can't find it and then of course he gives me : the why don't you come back later or why don't you come back in 30 minutes and then he got mad at me and yelled at me lol, and I just said are you done? And he just stared at me. And I told him I was here Friday we agreed on Tuesday , it's now Wednesday why can't you find the garment and why isn't it done? And he's making excuses telling me he's busy or this or that , and he looks again and finally finds it, and of course it wasn't done and then he tells me he wanted me to sit and wait or come back in 30 minutes. I got annoyed but I said I'll be back in 30 minutes. I came back and of course he had done the patch and it was a great job : but why couldn't this been done Monday or Tuesday? I don't know but the one thing I do know is he does good work, hes kind of abrupt with his customers but his biggest problem is he has a small space and he's extremely unorganized which is why Raphael is probably there to help him. And Juan is one man show. He needs to clean up his place get more organized and he would probably be able to keep up with everything and he does need a front man who can deal with the customer since that's not Juans strength. I'm sure the next time I need a patch job will probably be a couple years down the road and I will forget about the incident. but right now it seems like it's hit or miss, and reading other people's reviews this is not the first time it's happened. Summary: Juan does excellent work, is abrupt with customers, can be unorganized and unable to locate your items. It's hit or miss if you'll get it on time. Once the works done , you should have no problem with the job that he does.
