Kool Bins

Kool Bins

(15 reviews)

What can I say about Kool Bins other than this was a very " different" type of shopping experience…read more After hearing so many wonderful things about this business and finally decided to join my mother of age 74 and her Bestie Ms Mary of age 84... I am thinking to myself as I walked in that perhaps this way of shopping may not be my cup of tea but boy oh boy was I mistaken. I normally do not Thrift Shop but Kool Bins is very organized and clean.. Kool Bins buys large quantities of packages from places like Amazon that have been returned or never reached their destination and allows their clients to sift thru all sorts of undelivered of packages and purchase the items for a VERY LOW PRICE. Rummaging thru huge bins you can find packages that have a variety of items such as supplements, costumes, household good, accessories such as cell phone covers and even higher ticket items like laptops, etc. They offer daily deals such at $2 Tuesdays where each item that you choose to perchase will only be $2!!! One of the strict codes of conduct while shopping at Kool Bins is to not open packages that are sealed. If you wish to see any of the items that are not clearly visible thru the packaging, you are I trudged to take your package to a viewing table in the back.. here a very lovely representative will open ALL the packages of choice so that you can actually see and inspect your new findings because actually commuting ti purchase. I only went to Look and I left with 15 items . So I think it's worth to check out if you are in the area. Please note that if you followed their social media page, one can see when they receive a new shipment and more or less see what Kool Bins will receive in advance. Overall I will be returning to see what other great finds I can scoop up.

Kool Bins is a cool and fun place to check out! I believe it's only one of a few places like this…read morein the HR area that offers product returns for a cheap price. I believe that most of the items available here are mainly Amazon returns that they buy in bulk and are looking to offload. They provide preview pictures of "big ticket" items a couple of days before MEGA Sunday which is the first day of pickings/savings. They will typically have electronics, kitchen items, etc that normally retail in price of more than $100. But obviously these are returns so there is no guarantee that they work and that they are flawless. Each item on MEGA Sunday is $7 which is an amazing deal! Starting Monday and every day after that, it's $4 for each item, then $3 and so on. I've been a few times now both on Sundays and on a weekday and I would recommend getting there at least half hour early on Sundays and on a weekday, you don't need to come too early at all. I have found some pretty cool items to either to keep for myself or to resell online. Even if you're remotely interested, you should definitely check this place out! Inventory changes every week so you may find something you may like for a steal! SN: they give you a bag, you can fill it up with items you want and anything in a box they will open for you so you can see what's inside before purchasing. Coming with multiple people will allow you more chances to find the "big ticket" items and maybe you'll come home with something amazing!

Parish Thrift Shop

Parish Thrift Shop

I gave this long time local thrift shop 5 stars because I can rarely if ever go in here without…read morefinding items to buy. *Note that you park and enter in the rear of the building. This thrift shop used to be called Saint Kateri Thrift shop but ownership by the church was relinquished and the parishoners at St Kateri still volunteer to run this establishment. Many volunteers have been dedicated for decades. It was founded decades ago as a food pantry and thrift shop to directly benefit the local community, and it still does. Every penny goes to the community beyond the building expenses. The food pantry is located within but run separately. The prices can be varied from incredibly cheap to a bit higher, and I have purchased items in all price ranges. They have every thing here. Furniture, antiques, knicknacks, kitchen, jewelry, collectibles, books, electronics, frames and wall decor, art and craft supplies, luggage, purses, toys, housewares, baby equipment, shoes and boots, sports equipment, clothes from newborn to plus, men, women, children, new items and used. This is a favorite haunt of resellers. I had my eye on a little $5 child's toy and a regular reseller snatched that up and it is now $40 on FB Marketplace. Tuesday mornings when they open the line is around the corner. It is open an hour before Goodwill so resellers are in and out. I got there on a Wednesday at opening and about 15 people were in line. Today I purchased a large framed folk art print for $6, a pair of boots like new for $5, an American Girl knock off horse trailer for $15, a bath rug for $4 and a Glitter Girl doll for $3. I also got a nice wooden kitchen island chair for $8. There is some consistency in pricing but not always. They are open 3 days a week and will soon open 2 Saturdays a month. This is because they rely completely on volunteers. The ladies in there all have the patience of a saint and if you are a regular you will get to recognize them. I find the store pretty well organized. It is clean and for the most part there is adequate space in the aisles. A few can be a bit tight. Anyway, if you are a thrifter and looking for a place to be surprised with what you might find, you will want to check this out. But if you find something really really good, leave it for me!

Visited the store on 5/2/26 . I believe the man ringing up sales is a crook and a bold face liar…read more We finished shopping and went to casher. The total was 51 dollars which seemed a bit high to both of us. There was a line behind us so we paid and returned to our car. We laid everything out and checked our receipt . There were three charges we didnt have mechandise for. Two three dollar charges and one five dollar charge. None of our purchases were 3 dollars or 5 dollars. We went back inside and questioned the male cashier and he claimed " things pile up and sometimes he rings them twice". How do you ring up something twice when it was never there in the first place. Upon hearing our complaint he was very eager to return our 11 dollars and have us leave. I wonder how many times this happens to other people. My advise to everyone shopping there is to check your receipt before you leave the store.
