These guys know their stuff! My late 2015 iMac's 1TB HDD was failing and took forever to boot up and shut down. Rather than purchasing a new iMac I checked with the Geek Garage to replace the hard drive with a 1TB SSD. They had it for less than a week and did a fantastic job. I can't even tell they took the screen off to do this. I can't believe how fast my iMac boots up and it's faster than the Road Runner and should last me for a few more years! I am throughly satisfied with the professional and courteous service from the Geek Garage and highly recommend them! Thank you Hayden & Kolby for doing a great job! J.P.E read more

6/20 charged $105 for screen replacement on my iPhone 8. I see 5/21 website states $59 plus. I skipped, attempting Electronix Den at the mall (see review). 5/21 charged $96 for my Windows 10 desktop PC done in less than a day. The work was satisfactory but lost on why the tech feigned the request to sending me notes on what I needed to be done at home. If you see a customer coming in, you stop what you are doing and engage the person and/or direct a coworker to answer instead of keeping socializing and playing PC games. The owner or manager came in soon but I didn't like that wait when I retrieved my PC. (6/21 found they have a gaming den that may have only been guests.) I won't take them off my list since I live in the neighborhood and the work was done. The rest seems shady. read more

Computer "disk failure" are words no one wants to hear. Happily, Geek Garage was able to recover all of our documents and photos--500 GB worth. Because Steve (the owner) was so easy to communicate with, I purchased our new computer the same day I dropped off the fried one. Three days later, our new computer is up and running and we are happy with it. Kudos! File recovery couldn't be promised, but recover our files they did! They communicated every step along the way via text messages--very helpful. read more

Steve at Geek Garage was very nice and fixed my problem in minutes. Very knowledgeable and efficient. I would recommend this business.

Quick response, affordable, pick up and delivery service offered which was very convenient for me since I don't have transportation. Also they offer in-home service if needed at extra charge. I was very satisfied with their services. read more

These guys have been extremely nice, professional and courteous to me every time I've been in. They've fixed two phone screens for me promptly, and handled my treasured (broken) laptop with care during data retrieval. When I had card processing problems they were patient and helpful. I won't go anywhere else for help or service. Thanks guys!! read more

Brought my for the same issue that it was having before when I got clean bill of health and told nothing was wrong. Today there malware and whole bunch of things they had to fix and was charged again. This time $100. When I was trying to see how long they had it plugged in hardwire, the tec guy got mad and tired telling that it connector it could be the line you're using it could be the EOS that they installed trying trying to blame everybody else when everybody to my company's it to blue Peak itself saying that it's the PC. No one wants to help just keep blaming everybody else and wasting of time and money. read more

excellent service, solved my issue within 15 minutes and provided knowledgeable information on the issue with my PC.

I'm giving this company three stars because the work done to my laptop was good, but unfortunately their customer service left me completely disappointed. I am not from this area, however my mother is. While visiting Cheyenne, my laptop's hard drive went bottoms up. My mom brought my laptop to Geek Garage because she is familiar with them - so thankful for my mom still taking care of me! She's a rockstar! I can't completely say the same for Geek Garage. While they were able to replace my laptop's hard drive - and I am very happy with that work - I was unsure how to log back in to my device once I got it back due to the replacement being new. We called back to Geek Garage and spoke with Warren. The way he responded to my mother's simple question on how to do so was rude and condescending and he refused to help her unless she paid more money to them. Fortunately, she is somewhat of an IT whiz-kid herself and my mother was able to figure out. Whew! I am pleased with their work but Warren's lack of positive customer service robbed Geek Garage of the two stars needed for me to give them a full five. read more

Smart, generous staff, helped me when I was in a bind. This place deserves way more stars than it has! I came in just after opening, and the staff was super welcoming, answering all of the questions I had about the stuff in the shop. In the end, while they didn't sell the item I was looking for, one of the staff members had an extra on hand and simply handed it over like it wasn't a big deal. Saved my hide! read more

Took my granddaughters I pad in to see what all was wrong with it and showed them what it was doing. They told me what they thought it was but of course they would have to open it up to look inside. Quite pleasantly surprised, they had ordered the parts that day, got them in the next day and had it ready to go. They were very efficient, we had all the what if conversations, gave my official okie dokey and got a call the next day that it was ready! They really did an excellent job and my granddaughter is over joyed to have her I pad back. Thanks Matt and all the guys there, your a great bunch of hard working guys and I will bring all my non working electronics to you! CK read more

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!! THEY ARE A JOKE AND FRAUDS! If I could give this business zero stars I would! Horrible service, very rude! My daughter had a cracked screen on her Apple phone. We decided to take it them as we like to support local businesses. My daughter spent $83 to get a new screen! After we picked it up the phone wouldn't stay powered on long enough to keep charged. Also, the new screen is covering a part of the camera! We took it back to them and the guy insulted my daughter and told her " if you would have brought this in yhe morning we would have been able to look ar this!" Well asshole she had to work at 7am and she told him that. She then left the phone over night and she received a phone call the next day saying that thet are going to have to order parts for her phone and it was going to cost her another $80! When my daughter told me that I immediately called and told them this was ridiculous they put the new screen on and obviously "They" screwed it up. He tried talking over me and I wasn't having it. He then told me that "they don't guarantee it" and I asked him well then why do you replace scrrens if they don't guarantee it. I told him I wanted a refund and her phone back. He put me on hold to go talk to someone and came back and said he will refund the labor... I went over to get her phone and money back. I took her receipt in and they were only going to give the labor and I said NO I want the entire refund back. He then tried again to refund the labor and again I said NO. He then went and got the money to refund. We finally got it. WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN! DON'T DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. read more

I don't know what the other reviewers who said negative things were expecting. I have had them repair cell phones, tablets, a laptop and a desktop computer. In each case the prices were fair, the repairs where done in a timely fashion and the fixes were as expected. With cell phones, each time they have advised me as to whether the cost of repair was economically sensible based upon the cost of a replacement phone from amazon / ebay, etc. rather than just agreeing to fix the phone for more than a replacement would cost. I haven't had any bad experiences. I have noticed that the repair staff are a bit on the youthful side, but seriously, who knows more about tech than twenty something gamers? read more

Well, I have a difficult time understanding the negative reviews. I took my laptop in because I was having difficulties. They were very friendly, discussed a couple of ways the problems could be approached, estimated a date by which the problems might be solved, made the deadline, and fixed my computer. The price was fair. What more could you ask? I love the building the business is in; it is a fine historic building. The sole difficulty is finding a place to park close sometimes (need to lug the laptop around), but as the business is downtown, this is to be expected, and not Geek Garage's fault if lots of vehicles are parked on the street. As an aside, it was quite pleasant to deal with people who treated me well, not a sure thing in this town. read more

Superb service. Good price and above all, trusted quality of work, and highest of integrity.

I called them this morning to help my grandmother with her computer and her Kindle. She is in her nineties so I wanted someone who was both patient and knowledgeable about helping the elderly. Caitlyn was very friendly on the phone and David went out promptly, a couple hours later, to help her. It only took an hour and a half to do everything she wanted. She called me and said he was an "extremely nice young man" and said that he was very helpful. She could not be more pleased. Thank you guys for the great service! read more

These guys were great - came to my house on time and got all my equipment set up quickly and correctly. I would definitely recommend them.

I went to the store to replace my screen. I didn't know if it was internally broken or just the screen. When I went to pick it up my mother board was broken. They asked me if I had a way to get a new phone because a mother board would be expensive. I had insurance and they offered to put the old screen back on and they did not charge me the whole amount. The owner so kindly gave it to me for way cheaper because I am new to Wyoming and I need the money that I owed them for my insurance claim to get a replacement phone. The guy stayed past closing and put the phone screen back on and was not at all rude about it. The best place around! The owner is very kind and not out just for the money. They are there to help you and understand that times are hard right now. Thank you to you guys. You saved me from not having a phone for awhile !! Thank you thank you! Best place around for repairs, I'm bringing them my computer next!!! read more

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Stopped whatever they were doing to try and help me with my broken phone. unable to fix it but I did like that they tried right away and didn't just put me on the back burner or tell me to come back another time. I can't comment on their work because they never got around to fixing my computer. I went in on Friday afternoon and left my computer with them over the weekend. They said they would call with a quote for me on Saturday, but they never did..no problem, it was the weekend. I call on Monday morning asking for my quote and get the runaround with a promise of a call back in hour with my quote...nothing. I call back that afternoon and get put on hold long enough that I actually drive down there, phone in hand and still on hold, and see them working on other projects. I ask about my computer and reiterate the urgency. Matt says he is very sorry -- nice guy by the way -- and he would order my part immediately and have it overnighted. That worked for me, and I asked to be kept updated because I really needed my computer for work. I call Tuesday to check on the status, and the lady at the front desk assures me that it is on its way and I will have my computer back by Wednesday. Wednesday around 5pm I get a call that they finally took a look at my computer and they weren't able to fix it.....several things wrong here. First off, they said they had already ordered the part and guaranteed me it would be ready by Wednesday, so I assumed that they had already taken a look at my computer prior to Wednesday...they had not. Second, they lied about ordering the part. I am not upset that they weren't able to fix it, I totally understand. I am upset on the communication and my time that they wasted. Lastly, they told me that the reason they couldn't fix my computer charging port was because the "ribbon" connecting to the motherboard was loose it was too risky for them to tamper with...I totally bought this excuse until I talked with the tech support at the manufacture who informed me that the charging port is not connected to the motherboard with a ribbon and, in fact, it is soldered straight to the motherboard. I told him the techs at Geek Garage had just looked at it, and in the most polite way possible he insinuated that they probably just didn't want to work on my computer. Now I am not saying that that is the case 100%, but it does sound awfully fishy. Anyhow, if you've read my rant up to this point, I would say that these guys appear to know what they are doing when it comes to smaller consumer electronics, but I would caution against letting them work on anything that you need urgently fixed. The quote they offered me for the supposed job they were helping me out was reasonable...but then again it never happened. I most definitely will not be going back here. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I had a problem and wanted my money back. I was very short with the man at the desk, but I was not yelling, and he tried to throw me out. In the end I did get my money back but not before he told me that 84.00 was not a lot of money. He apparently joined the business after I first took my computer in, if he would have started the conversation with that it might have helped. 6:44 PM Steve from The Geek Garage just called my on my personal cell to challenge my review, he says I won't take accountability for my behavior, he thinks I was rude. His business had my computer, charged me 84.00 and did not fix it, He tried to throw me out. He was condescending and treated me as if I were a nonentity. But worse is his behavior after the first posting, It is very inappropriate to call me, I told him not to call me again and I feel very uncomfortable knowing he has my address. read more

They improperly installed software on my computer. I scheduled a time for them to fix it, but after a few hours they could not figure out what they did wrong. They said they would be back the next day to continue working on it but they no-showed, no-called. After calling them about it they said they were too busy on another project and could not commit to when they could finish the work. I called Wolfe Computer Solutions. Wolfe corrected the install problem almost immediately. read more
